Would absolutely use again - Firstly ‘The Hatch’ was absolutely beautiful and even better than the website could portray and secondly the communication from UHS was exactly what you’d expect from a high end holiday home service provider.

We spent the Easter long weekend at Alba House in Cornwall through Unique Homestays. The whole experience exceeded our expectations, the process was easy and the property itself was beautiful with high quality finishes. I don't think you could ever find any properties like this on Air BNB. These are actually people's well loved and cared for properties. Will definitely use again.

We stayed at Tangle Belle from 29th March to 6th April, and it truly felt like one of those rare places you don’t forget.

From the moment we arrived, everything felt calm, warm and effortless. The house is absolutely beautiful, full of character, thoughtfully designed, and it has this incredible sense of peace that immediately puts you at ease. It’s one of those homes where every detail feels considered, yet nothing feels overdone.

The setting is just as special. The garden feels like a hidden little escape, and the stream running through it became one of the biggest highlights for our children. They spent hours outside every day, exploring, playing, and even getting into the water to look for tiny fish. The fire pit in the evenings was another favourite, especially making marshmallows and enjoying those simple family moments outdoors.

What truly made our stay unforgettable, though, was Jane and Anthony. They are exceptional hosts, genuinely kind, welcoming, and so thoughtful in every way. You can feel how much care they put into both the house and the guest experience. Jane greeted us with delicious local scones, jam and cream, and fresh farm eggs, which was such a lovely and personal touch. She was also always available with recommendations, all of which were excellent and made our time in Cornwall even more special.

One of the highlights of the trip was following her suggestion to take the train from St Erth to St Ives, it was absolutely stunning and such a perfect, stress-free way to experience the coast.

A very special moment for the children was meeting their baby puppy, Billy, who was just five weeks old. They adored him and it became one of those small but unforgettable parts of the stay.

We are leaving genuinely in love with Tangle Belle. It’s a place full of soul, warmth, and beauty, and we feel very lucky to have experienced it. We already know we’ll be back.

From the first point of contact , I was impressed with the communication. I started with a webchat enquiry , to which I received an immediate response , then directed to Homestay Specialist Kirstie, who listened to my brief and sent me a range of available cottages. This initial, personable approach, along with the thorough house descriptions and high quality photographs made the choosing process so much easier . We made a great choice and had a fab week in a gorgeous property in a lovely village (Eardisland) - exactly what we asked for. We spoke to the owner too (on phone and text) while we were there , who was very friendly and helpful. Given the high standard of service and accommodation, we felt it offered good value for money and definitely worth it. We’re already looking to book with them again for the summer - I’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking to treat themselves to a more special , elevated experience in a holiday home rental.

Unique Homestays made this a lovely family holiday in Crantock in Cornwall and the property, The Hatch, was excellent.

We had the most incredible stay at Hinterland Cabin. The setting alone is absolutely breathtaking, the views are genuinely next level and made the whole experience feel so special from the moment we arrived.

The cabin itself is beautifully designed, with so much attention to detail. It felt luxurious but still really cosy and relaxing, which is exactly what we were hoping for. Everything had clearly been thought through to make the stay feel effortless.

We were also welcomed with a lovely hamper for us and even a bag of treats for the dog, which was such a thoughtful touch and really added to the experience.

Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique, peaceful escape with stunning surroundings.

The booking was easy, the online brochure, customer service, follow up was very attentive. The venue we picked was even more beautiful than advertised. We felt very well looked after and thoroughly enjoyed our time away.

We had a lovely time at Firefly for our minimoon! It was a really gorgeous little place, cosy and luxurious. We even extended our stay by a night as we weren't ready to leave. I would recommend :)

We recently stayed at Idlewylde which is our fifth or sixth Unique Home Stay - all our stays have been perfect properties, clean, well equipped, luxury brand goodie hamper and idyllic locations. The weather was not great for us, but it was an amazing place to stay for a couple - fab comfy super king bed, real fire, hot tub, lovely walks in every direction, very secluded in acres of grounds with no light pollution and amazing starry night skies. Almost middle of nowhere but a couple of pub/restaurants within a few minutes drive. Looking forward to returning in warmer weather.

We had a wonderful week staying at the Moku property in Mawgan Porth, Cornwall. The views, location and house were perfect.

We had a great week at Idlewylde. A beautiful and cozy cottage, private with secure gardens, great for the dogs. The welcome hamper was special with local products, this is a property where everything has been considered to make our stay amazing. With great walking from the door.
I needed to contact the housekeeper with a question, by arrangement she was at the door the following morning with a solution. Brilliant service. Thank you.

A fabulous escape for us - peaceful, private and plenty of space. The barn is thoughtfully designed, with generosity and great attention to detail. The view is also exquisite. The combination of all above delivers a sense of luxury solitude, and this is rare to find. In addition the Unique Homestays team made it easy to book, listened to our specific requirements, and helped with the detail. I should keep it a secret and pretend you won't like it, but the truth is we have already booked again.

Great company to deal with, nothing is too much trouble, very helpful indeed. My clients had a wonderful stay at The Hatch, all fantastic, I'm sure they will be back.

Great customer service and we adored our little cottage, and the owner was so kind and greeted us with kindness. He went over the top and made cheesecake for my sons birthday, which was so thoughtful. We had the most cozy and magical Christmas at the Lost Cottage. Highly recommend it! They even have a beautiful sauna with a stunning view. Every morning we would wake up to the sunrise and sheep in our front yard. We loved it!!

Saffron Tower in beautiful Beaumaris is a gem of a place to spend time and relax, wonderful facilities, own private pool, gym, sauna and hot tub. We had a fabulous time celebrating my wife's 60th birthday and we even took our dog. Unique Homestays are fantastic this was the 3rd one we have stayed in and we always say you get what you pay for.

I’ve stayed in a couple of properties through Unique Homestays and I’ve found them to be an excellent, professional company to deal with. I’ve just had a stay at ‘The Outpost’ in Rowen near Conway. The property is beautiful, in a wonderful position and designed with the best fittings and finish. The host was lovely and helpful, I would highly recommend it. A very relaxing break for me and the dogs.

We stayed in Cornwall at a property called Thalia. The property is exceptional. Great location, has amazing views across the hills and lovely to watch the sun dip over hills, even in the winter. The house is beautifully designed and furnished. Everything is high quality, generously proportioned and well appointed. I didn’t know I needed two dishwashers in my life - now I do! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Thalia and Unique Stays, who are always effortlessly efficient and a pleasure to book through.

Four Hundred Summers stands within beautifully manicured gardens. However, while it is advertised on Unique Homestay’s website as an ‘utterly quintessential luxury Cotswold cottage with all the feelings of flapjack-scented homecomings, this was not our experience.
We booked a 7-night stay over Christmas 2025 to celebrate my 60th birthday and our wedding anniversary alongside Christmas itself but we quickly identified a whole host of issues relating to the cleanliness of the property and subsequently left early on Christmas Eve. We were so relieved to get home.
The kitchen was particularly dirty with thick dust and grease on all of the skirting boards, food debris on the floor and sticky fingerprints visible on most of the cupboard doors and handles. The kitchen knives were also dirty and had to be washed prior to use as was the pan that we picked up to cook dinner in on our first night. The brochure for the house was covered in sticky fingerprints and didn’t lend itself to being thumbed through for ideas on where to eat out. Overall this property was unhygienic and not what we were expecting.
We contacted UHS by e-mail within 2.5 hours of arriving and rang them the following morning. We sent many photographs of what we found and felt their response was professional and supportive. They liaised with the owner and attempts were made to rectify the problems by sending in the cleaning team whilst we went out for our anniversary meal. Unfortunately they decided to attend 2 hours before the agreed time which I felt placed us in a very uncomfortable position, heightening the stress we were already under.
On our return later that evening, some of the issues we had raised had been addressed but when I subsequently found food debris along with human hair underneath the main sofa cushions, I knew we couldn’t spend Christmas here let alone cook our Christmas meal. We therefore made the decision to travel home the very next morning along with the turkey and all of the trimmings we had bought locally.
While we were able to get a full refund, we cannot in good conscience recommend this property.
