I felt that the time had come to take the plunge and start to learn to play the piano. First decision digital rather than conventional. Secondly which one to buy? No knowledge so to the net and up pops "The Digital Piano Bible" by Graham Howard. Well his advice is totally believable and so helpful I chose a Roland FP30, yes bottom of their range but good enough to start (Number 2 on Graham's list)

As yet I have not bought an instrument, but I can comment on the Howard Score rating . It is a very helpful diagnostic for allowing one to focus on what really matters. It rates the sound, the keytouch and the price - all very helpful in navigating the maze of instruments and hopefully making the right choice.

Graham covers everything you could want to know about choosing a digital piano .Using the guide and Howard’s list my husband and I narrowed the choice down to 3 possible candidates -We then emailed Graham and he answered very quickly .
We have just ordered a Yamaha CLP 635 and are confident we have made the right choice .

Although I did not buy a piano from UK Pianos, the information they sent was thorough, unbiased and helpful. A good place to start researching a possible purchase even if you are not a musician. Good range of digital pianos to suit all budgets.

Howard Score was a very useful guide for me. As a novice learning to play on an upright it was extremely important that I had a similar experience at home while practicing.

I contacted Graham and downloaded 'Howard Score'. At a glance I was able to see his rating and what was in my price bracket. I soon reduced the amount I was looking at to three. With this knowledge I contacted Graham to further reduce it to the digital piano I wanted. Graham was able to do this with confidence having explained my position.

I went ahead and purchased the Broadway B1. Wow, a fantastic choice, I am over the moon and confident to continue with my practice

Graham Howard's Digital Piano Bible was a ray of light in the darkness of brands, models and fear of choosing the wrong piano. I particularly liked the explanation of the terms most widely used in specification files and which ones are key vs which one you can do without.
Gathering all that info must have taken long. Thanks very very much for sharing it.

Hi to everyone who is planning to buy a piano. Back in 2014 I bought a digital Broadway1 piano from UK Pianos. It was delivered on time assembled and checked. As the those 3 years went by my repertoire obviously got better and better. About a month ago I discovered that the last high pitched keys at the very right end on the key board were out of tune. Those highest c,c#, d# and so on were way out of tune. I am aware that even more expensive pianos do not always produce a high quality highest tune. To cut the story short, although that the warranty was already 2 moths expired, Graham from UK Pianos believed my explanation and organised for the engineer to come to my home and exchanged the sound board without charge.
How is that about the after sale service!?
I can only say that whoever reads this comment, can safely trust this company. To go even further, Grahams word is his bond.
