With profound bad timing we needed new insurance just as the 'Storm of the Century' hit the UK. No problems, we had John at UKinsuranceNET - John worked his magic and hey presto we had what we needed. To steal from another agency....great price, great service, great solution(s) and a great experience just when we needed it and with a helpful smile to boot.

Really helpful and efficient in a complicated situation

Thank you to John who was polite and very helpful in the first instance and getting me unoccupied insurance. I had tried many different sites but this was the only one who took an effort in helping me to secure my insurance. It was nice for a company to actually speak to me and find out what I needed and then took the time help me out rather than just fobbing me off. I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

I had excellent customer service from John. Really patient and clear both explaining my initial options and helping clarify queries. He always did exactly what he said he was going to and was very prompt returning calls. I had tried online quote tools but found answer questions about an unoccupied property that I have never lived in very complicated. Speaking to someone on the phone made me feel so much more confident! Navigating probate is challenging and any help along the way is gratefully received! Would recommend.

I telephoned UKinsurancenet for clarity as to what constituted regular maintenance and what was a loss and had to be reported. I gave the example of a slipped tile that had to be put back as something I would regard as routine maintenance. They hounded me for weeks about this minor repair which was fixed for £90 and it is now showing as a 'loss'. They refuse to accept it was regular maintenance. I now live in fear that small maintenance jobs (dripping tap, radiator weep, loose fencepost, kitchen door working loose, upvc door handle lock jamming) should be reported if they think that a £90 casual roof repair (which I didn't claim for of course) is a loss. They refuse to accept that some kind of de minimis limit must apply. Their approach is - quite frankly- ridiculous and I need to find a new broker who is willing to accept that a multitude of small maintenance jobs will be necessary in the course of a year in a sizeable property portfolio, and that to treat these as losses is insane.

John Summerill went above and beyond the call of duty to get my lapsed rental properties underwritten. He came into work 3 hours early to get it done for me and then called me overseas to facilitate everything. I highly recommend John. He was professional, knowledgeable and very nice to work with. Very disappointing customer service. The house insurance for my mother-in-law was about to run out. She had dementia and had to move in to care. Her bungalow had to be put on the market to pay her care fees and I wanted to get six months temporary buildings insurance for six months whilst it sold. Twice I was told that someone would call me back. I deliberately stayed in for the call. Guess what? Nobody called!! I called for a third time and again today, nobody called back with a quote. I presume they were not that interested in temporary house insurance!! They could have told me and not wasted my time. I phoned another insurance firm and within 15 minutes had set up exactly the insurance I wanted. I would not dream of using this company again.

Andrea was exceptionally good at helping me find the right insurance for a slightly complex situation which I am handling for my elderly mother. She explained the policy options very clearly and helped find the right policy for us at a competitive price. Thank you.
