Redirects to scam sites
I was on the site using a code editor, when i switched back to the tab it had redirected on a scam page with explicit material, at no point did I ever declare age, this is HIGHLY Illegal
Beware! If you are an instructor they will take your course(s); and even if your courses are professional, top rated and top sellers the chances are they will keep the profits and pay you nothing - which of course is not lawful. Frankly, it is likely best to avoid them and stick with legitimate, much higher quality, reputable platforms. P.S. I realize that many people have had significant troubles with TutorialPoint and their bad practices. Therefore, I can only suggest that out of respect to others it is worth reporting TutorialsPoint to the appropriate national and international authorities and post your experiences with them on reputable social and other media sources to help protect others from their terrible practices. We are having the questionable practices of TutorialsPoint investigated and will thoughtfully publish if a class action is begun against them.
The agreement is 50% royalty for ebooks sold. They arbitrarily raised the price from $29.99 to $38 and gave me only $1. I can't remove the listings. They should be jailed.
TP reached out to me and asked me to offer my five, bestselling PLC programming courses on their market, so I decided to give it a whirl. As soon as my courses were published, they all had immediate if not wholly arbitrary ratings from 3.9 to 4.6. Nobody ever bought my courses on their platform, and yet all of my courses have review scores?! Funny!
And not for nothing, all of my courses are rated 4.7 and up on Udemy. But I'm not trying to have my courses or my name associated with this kind of marketing.
I visited one page on their website via a Google search link. Immediately I got a mail that I had "signed up for a course" via my Google account. I didn't even click anything on their website, just one page, one visit --- now they are mailing me --- THAT IS SO WRONG!!
Update: even got emails after unsubscribing.
Not familiar with their service but recently got inundated with spam from them. Reached out to them about it but never heard anything back.
This notice is intended primarily for trainers.
I was approached via linkedin because I have several training courses on Udemy. It was suggested that I put all my training on Tutorial point. Fortunately, I only put one course up for testing.
After 5 months, not a single course was sold. But that's not what alerted me, even though my training courses are quite successful on other platforms. What's worrying is that my training is well rated, which confirms that they sell the training but don't declare it to the trainer, which looks like a scam.
Also, before I put my training on the platform, there was a visible option to remove your training from the platform. In reality, this is not possible. In addition, we have no contact except via linkedin, but they obviously don't reply any more.
In short, teachers are being ripped off with this platform. The only recourse is to take legal action and obtain damages.
Trying to learn VBA for Excel and just in the Text prompts, their code that I simply copy and paste does NOT work. Definitely not for beginners as it skips a lot of steps that just frustrate you and you end up going elsewhere to learn even just the basics.
I've paid for and am taking the Kotlin for Android: Beginner to Advanced course. This is a very outdated course. It's hard to follow because all the programs mentioned are in much newer versions that don't even look like what's in the video. Plus he's using mac which is completely different than windows. Everything he's saying to do with his computer is different on mine. There should be a separate course for windows and mac. He's talking about Android 7 being the latest version, it's all the way to 14 now. He's using JAVA 8, and it's at 21 now, I had to google how to get JDK 21 running on my windows 11 computer. The Android Studio app is so different now it looks and behaves like a completely different app, I have pause the video frequently just to find the function he's talking about. In the very first intro video he says that this course will be constantly updated; that apparently isn't true. I'm glad it was only $10, I wish I could get a refund. Not a recommended course.

While I appreciate how this website covers most programming subjects I find that some if not at least half of the articles (in C++ at least) are poorly/mediocrely written. The articles in these said sub-to-on-par ones usually either are too wordy too too short and are usually vague in their wording, which leaves you to decrypt what they are trying to teach. Though, it's not the worst, and I use this in conjunction with other "learn to program" websites to corroborate and reinforce material. TL;DR great-ish with covering almost every programming subject but sub-par on quality.
Their notes are structured excellently. Makes smooth study.
Tutorials point is excellent for IT students. Their study material is customized very well so that students can learn easily.
