The “O” in travelOdesk?:

Oh no! Never again: TravelODesk

It seemed a safe way to book our travels in advance (free cancellation option)

How wrong were we:
First planned trip:
- confirmation / contact details were not given, prior to trip
- at requested pickup time (no show), and not being honest about actual pickup time
- seemed driver was still far away
- rude communication of service employee (apologies for that were given later)

Decided to cancel the other booked trips (>24 hours) and got the same:
- different promises, but none of them kept
- still no confirmation / proof refund.

Update:
- “technical issues” prevented them to refund
- help of visa/mastercard now onvolvee to get them to comply to their own promises: free cancellation

Save yourself this experience/ waste of time / money

Perfect airport pick up and delivery in Amritsar, Panjab🙏🏽

We booked two private car transfers in India because there were no trains covering the journeys we required and we wanted peace of mind in advance.

We should not have bothered.

Travelodesk charges a huge mark-up on the local rates as well as a 10% transaction fee for paying by credit card. For this you would expect gold standard customer service and communication. We got neither. Dates were confused, replies to emails were very slow. The driver for our second journey turned up 3 days early. The whole experience was very poor and unnecessarily stressful.

My advice is to book cars locally in India via your homestay or hotel. It is massively cheaper and far less hassle.

Travelodesk were very efficient at taking our money; less so at everything else.

The driver booked was in contact with us prior to our departure from Kolkata Airport, prior to arrival at New Delhi we had instructions to contact him when we had collected our baggage, He told us which exit door and pillar he would collect us from.

Good service, arriving ahead of time and driving safely to the destination despite some challenging roads and traffic

The driver guided us to the meeting point and drove us safely to our destination. All very smooth and professional

Was on time. No issues at all, customer service are very helpful and available anytime

Driver was punctual with my name on a sign, held an umbrella over me because of the hard rain and the car was a great temperature 10/10

Used their transportation service from Amritsar airport to Hyatt Amritsar. Pricing was good. Driver was on time and the ride to the airport was comfortable too. Re-confirmation was done a day earlier too.

Very good arrangement by the company, Specially I would like to thank the Driver- Hemant Ji who made our 4 hrs travel to fro so enjoyable along with being considerable about the kids. Asking to stop and rest and efficient driving.
And also the Guide Abdul, who was informative about the Taj Mahal, and was giving us detailed information and also warning about the surrounding vendors, so we do not get cheated. Also he took us to a wonderful resturant with food and last but not least help us understand more about marble work.
I would recommend the company, to anyone I meet.

I have booked a trip with TravelOdesk twice in 2024 and both times I was very satisfied. The driver was on time at the pick-up location, very helpful and friendly. I would use TravelOdesk again next time

Everything worked perfect.
The driver send a message some minutes before he arrived, the cab was clean and the trip was relaxed.
Nothing to complain about.
