If there was 0 or negative star I would have selected it for tower hamlets Street cleanliness. Streets are littered with garbage everywhere. Whitechapel Road in front of council building is filthy!... Se mer

Brick Lane Uber/Deliveroo Mopeds and Cyclists:


Fantastic job well done by Tower Hamlets Enforcement officers tackling the Uber, Deliveroo drivers misusing the one way system and causing havoc by parking in double yellow lines and pedestrian lanes. Last few days I've witnessed Enforcement officers alongside Metropolitan Police officers do a very good job by arresting those that were riding illegally. Thank you to all who have made Brick Lane safe for us locals as well as the tourists that visit.

Absolutely disgraceful the council tax…

Absolutely disgraceful the council tax service not taking into consideration of peoples difficult periods and wellbeing that some struggle with. They give you more problems ontop of the problems you are already facing, but then again when they have a backlog they expect you to understand when you did try and get through to them. The lady just put the phone down on me whilst talking not listening to a word i was saying! Daylight robbery and extremely corrupt!

Really useless...

Really useless.... they get nothing sorted and is really corrupt.From denying the financial support during covid. There was a number of schemes in place for people who would be able to work due to quarentine. I was eligible and they kept refusing it saying that might NHS reference number (registration of the NHS testing) didn't exist. Also they refuse to tackle anti-social behaviour in the borough no matter how manny times you report it and structural problem in the council's estates. The list is huge... even something so simple as updating the names on the council tax bill they haven't managed to do, despite the requests. USELESS

I wanted to make a complaint about the local council office(Barkintine) so I went to meet my local consular Mr.Maiam Talukdar at his surgery in Mellish street. He was very rude . First of all you must take your shoes off to enter the building and then you got to seat on the floor waiting for your turn . For God sake we are in England not Bangladesh. WHY MUST I TAKE MY SHOES OFF AND SEAT ON THE FLOOR WAITING TO SEE THIS STUPID COUNSELLOR.

Spent 1 hour on hold to their useless…

Spent 1 hour on hold to their useless wage thieves council tax line. To be told to go to website where I am unable to do the tasks I needed to do. Then told to make an account which then automatically locks me out! What a complete incompetent useless council. (unless you’re Bangladeshi then it’s amazing) can’t wait to leave this useless ghetto area!

Tower hamlets is dirty the graffiti every where terrible they deface buildings people property Go on number D8 from Isle of Dogs to Stratford disgusting.and Bus D6.route very depressing. Train station. Just go on any buses around terrible. Even around a tower gate way Station.tell the Mayor of Tower hamlets to go and do some work and have alook.how dirty Tower hamlets is.

Absolutely disgusting way to treat…

Absolutely disgusting way to treat homeless people. They make telephone appointments they don't keep, the web forms don't work, they don't reply to emails. Give you the run around when you try to get hold of someone, everything done to make people give up. Even if you do manage to speak to someone they don't know what they're talking about and always respond with ' so and so's not here today '. Cruel, disinterested and untruthful. Horrible, horrible experience when someone facing homelessness is already at the worst point in their life.

Unresponsive

Attempts to get Tower Hamlets to respond take ages and get addressed only after a councillor has raised it.

I tried for over a year to get my home listed for kitchen waste collections and to get the online facility to report missed collections, a basic service to a house nearly 200 years old and in a terrace with houses of a similar age. Nobody was inclined to help when I raised it myself.

I am now trying to get the council to resolve the confusion over street names and numbers, as energy, delivery and other service providers confuse them. Several months and a complaint nearly 2 months ago; there has been no response.

Disgusting Borough to live…

Disgusting Borough to live in...filthy...3 weeks and they haven't collected our rubbish...can only call the call centre to report missed collections...and then it takes 5 days to be looked into. I've made 3 complaints to the Council and nobody gets back to us. Perhaps we withhold our Council tax...why should we pay for a service that is not delivered? You can find the photos of the Minerva Estate onbtheor Google page and the disgusting state of the courtyard relentlessly since before last Summer. Rats running around the courtyard..but as long as the people managing the purse strings are sitting comfortably in the swanky town hall then why should us tax payers complain? Should be ashamed of the way we are treated

WHY DO YOU EVEN EXIST... online always down never can talk to any one and your one of the highest council tax bands... for such poor service if there was a petition to sign to close this whole thing i would. no help no care no support. how do i get help if no email response

The HOST TEAM AND THE MANAGER ARE ALL USELESS THEY GET PAID FOR NOTHING

Tower hamlets must be the worst bourgh to deal with they take on works that don’t even know what they are doing and the homeless team just know how to get rid of you and leave you on the streets when the workers are sleeping in the beds. The new Mayor Rahman gives all big talks how he will help people but he needs to get rid of this workers and put in new ones that know what they are doing and help the homeless people that really need it. Not this fake people that came over here with visas like care visas and student visas as they should have got everything in place before coming here. But the tower hamlets will take then on and give them a place but the people that have lived here all the life’s in the tower hamlets don’t get help even if you complain to the management they just don’t care. I need help but I have been pushed around.

THH, The most useless organisation.

Thank god i’m no longer living with tower hamlets homes, the most useless landlords to exist. After complaining about the service i’ve received and the multiple missed appointments for a repair to a leaking radiator, they offered me a measley £60 compensation and a voucher for a supermarket. I sent back the form for the Compensation and they confirmed they’ve received it and sent it over to finance.

Weeks go by and nothing. I email again asking for an update and the response was “finance are having some technical difficulties”. Really? They never seem to have difficulties taking payments? I’ve emailed twice saying it’s unacceptable and i want confirmation from finance it’s being dealt with but still nothing. I’m going to Town Hall over this and hopefully they’ll resolve it in person because clearly most of them don’t have a clue how to get things done.

Hugely inefficient

Absurd that i have to upload a copy of a council tax bill that they have issued me, and i pay monthly, in order to apply for visitors parking. and then it takes three days to validate this. Especially given i have already done this last year.
