was really great content, loved the fact that the facilitator was a local who has grown up in not only the Cairns/tablelands region but also has worked and travelled through out Cape York communities. This made a relate able experience with shared knowledge in the group alot easier and also that she understood the barriers of support for remote communities, staff and support to both.

Was good, but some improvement to make it awesome
It was a good course, although I wished they put more effort when an assignment is finished. For example, providing more information that you would add in real scenarios or better wording if need be.

Great training experience, our trainer really knew his stuff and explained it well, the only thing I could find that I didn't care for was people in different levels all in the one group

We are looking at alternative ways of facilitating the different levels all in the same group, however, this can be difficult with public courses. We are looking at skills tests prior to attendance which will hopefully allow us to identify individual requirements prior to starting the course.

Good work Craig. Remember the Health and Safety Representatives course is a participatory course. Your completion is confirmed by your participation, and not from formal testing too which we could apply a competency-based outcome. We do think you would be competent leaving our training though.
Learning Styles are different
As people learn differently I found the new online portal hard to study with. The previous one was good as I could printout what I needed to read and reference the printout plus my notes to compete tasks. Even with 2 screens it's very hard to reference back into the sections as no way to mark or determine each section or items required. Just my way of learning and this portal did not suit me and therefore the frustration level went up and made it harder to complete or even want to complete.

As you have noted we use a different supplier for these materials, which is now becoming obvious doesn't meet the requirements of students with the ease of access to resources and assessments. We will be creating our own resources in the future (similar to your previous qualification).

My experience after having worked in the building industry for more than 50 years, 40 of which has been in my own business, I have seen and experienced the wonderful expertise of those involved in delivering the means of being successful in their courses and it is not surpassed by any other organisation which deals in the safety management of work processes .
The courses are delivered in a caring and friendly environment.
