Would normally give 5 stars but unless.you play spin games the others dont seem to want to pay out. I play glow not seen 3 light.blue flowers.for.over 2 years plus now. Used.to be really.good game but not now

My experience of the change in Tombola Arcade

Tombola's old Arcade appeared to be built around a high RTP and relatively low volatility, producing frequent small and medium returns and allowing a deposit to last much longer. My experience of the modern Arcade is very different.

The number of games has expanded enormously, but I don't believe that simply having more games means that the money is being "diluted" between them. The more important issue is the way the wins appear to be distributed.

The modern games seem to offer many more losing or very small-result spins, while placing much greater emphasis on occasional large wins and progressive jackpots. The practical effect is that medium-sized wins, which previously helped replenish your balance and allowed you to build it up, seem much less frequent. A deposit can therefore disappear very quickly unless you happen to hit one of the relatively rare larger prizes.

This is an important distinction because a game's RTP is not the same thing as its volatility. Two games could theoretically have a similar long-term RTP while giving completely different playing experiences. A low-volatility game can return frequent small and medium wins, whereas a high-volatility game can produce long sequences of losses followed by an occasional large payout.

That is why simply saying "Tombola has a high RTP" doesn't really address the concern. What matters to the player is also how that RTP is distributed.

There also appears to have been a substantial change in the Arcade since Flutter Entertainment acquired Tombola in January 2022. The old Tombola was known for a very small Arcade selection and a 98.5% RTP figure was historically quoted for its games. Today's Arcade contains many more games, including numerous slots with differing RTPs and a much greater emphasis on progressive jackpots and large prizes.

I am not claiming that Flutter has secretly reduced payouts, because I have not seen evidence that would prove that. Nor do I believe that having 80+ games automatically means that the money is being spread between them.

What I am saying is that the player experience appears to have changed dramatically. In the old Tombola Arcade, you could win enough small and medium amounts to keep playing for a considerable time and sometimes build your balance. Today, my experience is that you can make spin after spin with very little returned, and the balance simply runs down. The attraction increasingly seems to be the possibility of hitting a rare big win or jackpot rather than having a reasonable stream of smaller wins.

If Tombola believes that the current games have the same win distribution and player experience as the old Arcade, I would like to see the actual RTP, hit frequency and volatility information for the games, both historically and today. RTP alone doesn't tell the whole story.

For me, the fundamental question is simple: has Tombola changed from an Arcade where players could realistically build and sustain a balance through regular small and medium wins, to one where the player is expected to lose steadily unless they hit a relatively rare large prize?

That is certainly how it feels to me now.

LOOK AT THEIR REPLIES to most negative reviews about their best RTP in the business. As I explain in my post AND THEY DONT ANSWER MY CONCERNS, if the RTP isnt shared out properly it dont matter how high it is!

I think tombola looks after us as players and members they tell us about limits and length of play which i thinks fantastic, I love the variety of games and definitely the free games and bonuses the competition,s are great and prices are not to expensive your amazing 👏 💕

I really used to love this site but recently there's been changes regarding winning. I've noticed that if you deposit regularly you win on the free games,if you don't deposit for a while you win nothing so obviously fixed. If this can be fixed then the games can be fixed also. If you have a big win which is a rareaty then you probably won't win anything for ages. I was asked do I prefer a lot of small wins or the odd large win or both. I found this a odd question to ask. I really do enjoy the slots more than the bingo and it's fantastic if you ever do get a good win!!

I waited over a month for a refund of winnings on my account.

Just received a response from Tombola, on the same day, but when I made a complaint to retrieve my money, I had to wait over 2 weeks.

I won and tried to withdraw the money but my card had expired and it wouldn’t let me update my card details so had to withdraw by check and will take longer to go in my bank .

I like that is introducing more games with different formats. Like all gambling you have weeks you win and weeks you have no luck at all. Can be quite glitchy at times, delayed reels ect.
