Thermaglaze Omdömen 

Like others we decided to go with Thermaglaze for a conservatory based on recommendations from friends and positive reviews, however despite the initial positive start this took a rapid decline once their builder became involved.

There was Poor Communication throughout, quotes for additional work were lacking clarity and transparency.

It took their builder 3 months to provide a quote which was over 3 x the cost it should have been, we were informed this was a mistake and was adjusted quickly, and suspiciously to the amount we had budgeted for this extra work that I had naively informed them of. Due to this we asked for a breakdown of cost as it lacked clarity, and included materials that was already included in the main base work quote so asked for clarity on this. This was never provided by Thermaglaze neither did we receive a consistent explanation how the original mistake happened; the builder then refused to go ahead. We decided to have the drain moved by a Water Board Approved contractor in the hope this would make it easier for Thermaglaze to provide another builder to do the base build.

Thermaglaze then informed us their original builder may go ahead after all, and the next month we were told, the builder will and won't go ahead for different reasons, finally it appeared we were making progress, all drain works were reviewed. They went away to provide another date for installation, after not hearing anything for a couple of weeks, we decided to cancel as had no confidence that there was a will or desire from Thermaglaze or their builder to complete the project.

I notice that most of the positive reviews are for replacement doors and windows, so presume that when dealing solely with them they are probably fine, however after the stress, uncertainty and financial cost of the last few months the Thermaglaze Experience is not one we would wish to go through again.

We were impressed with Thermaglaze from the first contact onwards. Their staff are polite, welcoming, and highly skilled.
We had a quote for work to be done, and when we had to defer to a later date, they accommodated this with no problem. The standard of the work is first class and we are delighted with the new windows and front door.

Great company, had door supplied and fitted. The man that came to fit was polite and friendly and tidy. Called up with minor issue and they came out to sort next morning , can’t say fairer than that .
Excellent experience will definitely use again

I recently had 9 single windows, 2 bay windows, a set of large French doors and a composite front door and rear kitchen door fitted by Thermaglaze an the whole experience was extremely satisfying. Danny, the sales contact was extremely helpful and gave sensible and practical advise. The surveyor was just as helpful and explained what would done. The installation was delayed due to COVID but was carried out without any additional delays. The two installers (Wayne & James) were brilliant and as a testimony to their high standards of workmanship I would say that they installed as if it were their own property and equal to the high standard I work to on my own projects and I'm meticulous in my work.

The final cost was exactly as quoted and was very competitive based on the quality of the frames and doors.

As you can clear tell I am extremely pleased with all aspects of the purchase - communications, installation and final finish.

I highly recommend Thermaglaze for consideration on any prospective work.

As an aside, I would like to make it very clear that I am in no way affiliated to Thermaglze and this is purely a personal review of my particular experiance

Have dealt with this company for over 25 years and would never use anyone else, just had new windows and doors from Thermaglaze and can’t remember ever being so pleased with a job I’ve had done, opted for the ‘Residence 9’ window style on our 1930s style house and the black frames with white casements and fanlights coupled with traditional casement stays and working butt style hinges look so authentic no one can believe it’s such a traditional look with all the added modern day security and energy saving properties - thank you Thermaglaze and your excellent team, especially Rich Oakley the surveyor who assisted us greatly and is an excellent ambassador for the company!
