Hi Mark,
We’re very sorry to hear about the frustration you’ve experienced.
I completely understand how disappointing it is to wait all day for a delivery, without clear communication, that doesn’t arrive. While we aim to dispatch all orders quickly and efficiently, the final delivery is handled by DHL, who, in this case, clearly haven’t met expectations.
We’ve checked our records and unfortunately haven’t received any emails from you. You may have reached out to “Ideal Homes” instead of us at The Ideal Garden, as we are separate companies and not affiliated with them.
That said, we never want a customer to feel ignored. If you’d like to forward your email to monty@theidealgarden.co.uk, I'd be happy to help resolve this for you directly.
Edit - as you requested, we have since cancelled your order and provided a complete refund.
Once again, sincere apologies for the inconvenience. We’re here to help.
Kind regards,
Monty - The Ideal Garden Team

Thank you, Clive!
We needed to replace our lawn edging after the previous material degraded & failed. We have a mix of curved & straight edge between our lawn & flower bed. The edging was easily shaped to the required curve across my thigh before assembling 2 or 3 lengths prior to positioning. I used the associated fixing spikes & some rear off cuts to hold the line as I worked along the run. I did find pulling the fixing lugs through the slots a challenge. The gauge of ghe metal edge was thicker than my small long nose pliers could cope with. I ended up resorting to using a long blade screwdriver to get the tabs through the fixing slot & finishing with regular 9 inch pliers. The recommended fixings for soft ground give good solid fixing once in place. I did find that with softer ground the edging can be pulled deeper than required unless supported underneath. Overall very pleased with the result after 5 days & see no reason to think that this product will not last better than our previous plastic edging.

Best of luck!
Bought the Core Edge flexible steel lawn edging (colour is Cor-Ten) from The Ideal Garden which I think has the best price and easy to purchase from. Product arrived in good time and really pleased with the way it looks. Took a few minutes to get the technique on the first couple but after that was easy to install the rest. Only done about a 1/4 of the garden but definitely considering doing the rest now! Pictures show next to a gravel area I created but also looks great round the lawn. Particularly impressed with the way if flexes as we have a lot of curves in our garden! Would highly recommend especially in this colour 👍

Easy to install and versatile. Ideal for the job in hand. Looks amazing. Was even able to make a very good curve. Needed it to hold soil back from falling into Gabions. Perfect for the job.

The planter wasn’t exactly the colour I had expected but do like it ( corton steel). Fiddly screws and the products came without instructions of how to attach the screen. The garden edging is excellent. I would order future products.
