Delivery very good,good price mower is great but strimmer broken in the first 5mins bolt what holds the strimmer head to the shafted came of and had to re order one form another company as this one said they don't carry spair parts not impressed so mower 10 out of 10 strimmer 5 out of 10 for build quality.

I ordered a garden strimmer, which arrived promptly via FedEx. The package was sealed with FedEx tape and arrived in good condition. After unpacking the strimmer, I found no battery in the box. I bought the item as a complete unit, not just the body. I contacted customer service via the email on the website and received a reply quickly. They asked me to take a picture of the shipping label and the trimmer's serial number, which I did, and said they would look into the issue and apologised for the inconvenience. The next day, I received an email saying they would ship me a new battery. This has arrived, and the strimmer is fantastic. Overall, it was a very good experience, and I would recommend The Green Reaper Company.

Public Review: My Experience With The Green Reaper – Faulty Machinery, Broken Promises, and Disgraceful Customer Service

I purchased two machines from The Green Reaper just two weeks ago — a scarifier and a rotary mower — costing £750 in total. The scarifier worked well, but the rotary mower (the more expensive machine at £399.99) failed catastrophically within 6 yards of first use, only three days after delivery.

The mower’s drive gearing into the rear roller broke immediately ie plastic, despite being brand new and used exactly as intended. Because of this failure, I had to hire professional lawn contractors at a cost of £750 for one day, and they left the site because the mower was unusable. This alone caused significant financial loss.

From that moment onwards, dealing with The Green Reaper has been an absolute nightmare.

Ignored Calls, No Weekend Support, and Arrogant Responses

Despite advertising themselves as “The No.1 online machinery shop”, they are not open on Saturdays, and my urgent voicemail was ignored until I had to chase them again on Monday. When I finally reached someone, I was told they cannot transfer calls internally, and I was instructed to fill out a complaint form — delivered with an attitude so dismissive it bordered on abusive.

Collection Disaster – Machine Thrown Into Van

When the mower was eventually collected for refund, I had professionally cleaned and polished it, as that’s simply my standard. The van driver arrived and THREW the mower into the van, despite having ramps available. I have this on video. This caused further damage to a machine that was already faulty from day one.

Broken Refund Promises

The manager, Brian, told me directly:

“As soon as the machine is picked up, the refund will be returned.”

This was a lie.

We are now well into the second week since collection. Brian has confirmed he has still Not “issued the refund to accounts”, yet every day when I ask if the money has been sent, the answer is NO — followed by arrogance and excuses. He now claims they have 14 days to refund, completely reversing his original promise of an immediate refund.

At this rate, the refund will exceed the 14‑day legal limit, and if that happens, we will take legal action and seek compensation for the £750 contractor cost and the stress caused.

Refusal to Allow Contact With Owners, a Mr MACINTYRE-URE, Robert (Active Director.) and his wife, Mrs MACINTYRE-URE, Nicola Jane, (Active Scrretary) all refusing to speak to any member of the public

I have tried repeatedly to speak to the owners of the company. Every time, I am told I cannot speak to them, with no explanation. I will be checking Companies House for the owners, and speak to them via
My lawyer. This is not how a reputable business behaves.

My Health Situation Makes This Even Worse

I am seriously ill with cancer, and this entire ordeal has caused severe stress for both myself and my wife. The lack of compassion, professionalism, and basic customer care from The Green Reaper has been disgusting.

Final Verdict

I have spent nearly £2,000 with this company this year, and after this experience, neither I nor my wife will ever deal with them again. There are many better, more trustworthy companies out there.

The Green Reaper’s customer service has been:

• Unprofessional
• Dishonest
• Arrogant
• Stress‑inducing
• Completely unacceptable

Their behaviour does not match their claim of being “The No.1 online machinery shop”. My experience proves the opposite.
