The Berkshire Vet is quite simply the best veterinary practice we have used in almost 40 years and apart from normal veterinary work, there is one thing I want to highlight to show how compassionate, caring and respectful they are with a pet's final journey.

Our beloved cat had a tumour and it eventually became obvious that it was "time". He used to get stressed going to the vets, so Aaron came to our home and sedated him in his favourite sleeping spot. He and the veterinary nurse then respectfully gave us time to be with him on our own before proceeding. It was painless, calm and reassuring for Basil who purred right to the very end, even when sedated. He was then carefully taken away in a fluffy blanket that they had brought with them. Every detail thought of. They then arranged for him to be collected from the surgery and cremated.

Whilst very sad it was handled perfectly with professionalism and compassion. I could not recommend The Berkshire Vet more highly - they have an outstanding team and facilities.

we came across this vets late in the life of our dog, having moved home, shame we were not with them earlier, the care and attention is incredible, from the first time we walked in to the last time we left (due to the passing of our Lola Bella Saint Bernard) these guys made the experience extremely comfortable and considerate.
Naomi and the team were more than helpful and honest about ours dog condition and dealt with her passing with compassion and understanding, and real care for the suffering of our beloved pet.

I recently took ownership of 2 cats from cats protection. They were both due vaccinations and I needed to register them with a vet. I did the whole process online from registering them to booking the appointment. The appointments I requested were verified by email and I also received a courtesy telephone call thanking me for registering with them. When I arrived a member of staff came and collected one of the cats from the car and there were offers to help return them. The practise is bright and clean and has parking quite literally on the door step. My two nervous cats seemed to be happy both in waiting and during their appointment which means a lot. Also which means a lot is I wasn't sold or told I needed something that I really didn't.
I would, and have already told friends about the practice and the short drive out of town is well worth it.

Independent vets, owned and run by 5 amazing people who know what they are talking about and genuinely care about your animals. The practice is large, clean, welcoming and smells great! Prices are affordable and they don't charge for anything you don't need, saving YOU money where they can, even though it's their business! They do charity dog walks, information evenings, they answer any questions you have, they are just BRILLIANT!! My dog loves going there and so do I. Wouldn't trust anyone else with my pets, Aaron, Amy, Naomi, Vicky and Emma are outstanding. If you want your animals cared for, I urge you to visit them, you won't regret it!

We went to Berkshire Vets in April when we wanted to take our dog on holiday to Europe. They provided everything that we needed to know on our first visit and our trip went perfectly. While abroad I telephoned with a question and they answered it immediately.

Today we went for our dog's annual jab. Perfectly managed, friendly and kind - and not excessively priced. The Vet also clipped our dog's nails at the same time. Excellent customer service.

We recently changed to The Berkshire Vet, a new independent practice at Greenham Business Park.
The practice is run by vets for pets, not by a large corporation for money, and it shows.
The welcome was warm. The consultation was thorough, with a named vet for each animal so that you can build a relationship with “your vet” if you wish. They even saved us money!
Cannot recommend highly enough. If you’re fed up of being ripped off by large corporate vets and are looking for personal, fairly priced healthcare for your pets, this is the place to go!
