This company cant improve! They are actually not a company! Too many products no stock! (Only notified after payment)Just a catalog for you to explore of actual products out there. Spot the trend! Everything is bout 20% cheaper than rivals, as-well as carrying stock where nobody else got, stolen pics, reviews ect, run there bank acc detail, (capiteck, absa) does not matter, this is a well thought out criminal scam, they catch out stupit to clever! And mostly the poor! May lucifer bless thy child! And fook them brutally in there arses forever!!

I ordered a smart TV and paid, but I still haven't received it. They promised it was on its way, but nothing has arrived yet.

Also being scammed by this company. I have no idea why are they still operating. SA rules are weak everywhere

I have been scammed. Price Check indicated that this was the most competitive offer for a computer. I purchased it after checking the address and phoning the company who seemed professional but busy. I received an order number and invoice that seemed professional. When they missed my delivery deadline I followed up, and couldn't get hold of anyone. I have since initiated a case of fraud with my bank and the Randburg police. Sadly they are still advertising great deals as I type this message.

Ordered a cellphone online 2nd Feb' 26, thinking they have a wide range (as advertised on their web page), and thinking that it would be nice to deal with a tech store. Have been trying since 8th Feb, to "Track my Order", send emails but no response. Anyone telling us that they received their goods is probably the scammers themselves. BIG SCAM!!!
Avoid using Teck trek store even if suggested by PriceCheck and online search! Others on this review platform have opened cases with SAPS and hopefully their SCAM project will be ended soon! 👊

This company, known as TechTrek, uses websites like techtreksa.store and techtrekdigital, which are fake.

No item has ever been delivered.
Cannot trace physical address either

This is a scam, the physical adress is not complete, they never answer a phone and also once order is completed, they don't respond to emails or their livechat. Case opened with police.

I would give them zero stars if I could. People please be aware of this online store. I bought a fridge from them on the 17th of December 2025. Still haven't received it. They approved my refund on the 8th of January 2026, still no refund received. When I told them I'm going to REPORT them they went unresponsive and I also noticed that they now removed their Capitec account and only have their Absa account on their website. I reported them to Capitec, I opened a case at the SAPS my case nr: 4t28/1/2026 and I filed a complaint with the CGSO. People please don't buy from them. And if you did reported them please.

Review: I ordered an AMD CPU (Order #TTK1510) in December. After missing multiple delivery deadlines and admitting they had no stock, I investigated the company.

Key Findings:

Fraudulent Address: Building management at Atrium on 5th (Sandton) confirmed in writing that Tech Trek Retail is NOT a tenant. They are using a fake physical location to gain credibility.

Registration Issues: CIPC records show the company was only registered in Jan 2025, yet they were taking payments in Dec 2024. According to official CIPC records (K2025010807), the director is Ofentse Masemola. As the person legally responsible for the company, he is accountable for the fact that this entity is providing a fraudulent physical address to the public.

I am opening this case of Fraud and Misrepresentation to allow the SAPS Cybercrime Unit to initiate a Section 205 subpoena to retrieve the merchant's FICA details from the banks and their login IP logs from Shopify.

BE WARNED!!! My order from techtreksa.store was never delivered. The website with their low price deals is advertised on pricecheck.co.za but their contact number rings unanswered and emails querying orders and delivery of orders are not replied to. The chatbot on their website only provides automated responses stating that the order is being prepared for despatch. There are many complaints online about goods paid for from techtreksa.store but not delivered. It appears techtreksa.store is being confused with techtrekdigital.co.za which is a legitimate business with good reviews. Check the URL and make sure that you are not purchasing from techtreksa.store to avoid the same non-delivery of goods paid for as too many of us.

I placed an order with TechTrek early January, the order number and confirmation was sent immediately.
After no communication or tracking number I have mailed Tech Trek numerous times with no response.
Tried to call the number with no joy either!
This is a fraudulent company.
Please DO NOT fall for their “special” offers!!
The sad thing is that I got to their online shop via Price Check.
How is it possible that a business with such a bad track record still operates?

I placed my order and then phoned TechTrek to check that the printer was in stock and brand new. The person who answered the phone assured me all was OK and they were awaiting my payment. I paid via EFT and then heard nothing more from the company. They no longer answer the phone, do not answer e mails and or the on line chat. They are scam artists and need to be shut down.

No delivery almost two months after order.

On December 1st, I paid Techtrek R6,180.00 for twenty boxes of Rotatrim A4 printer paper. I received an order confirmation promptly, but there has been no communication since then.
Rotatrim A4 printer paper is readily available, and there is no reasonable excuse for it not being delivered in almost two months.

I made calls to them numerous times, often with no answer, and was hung up on or transferred to unanswered extensions. I ended up placing an order with another company, which delivered the next day.

After doing some online research, I found many reviews expressing similar complaints about promised deliveries that never occurred. Many characterise Techrek as a fraudulent company that takes money from potential buyers without ever delivering, and I have to agree. It seems clear that Techrek took my money without any intention of fulfilling my order.

I reported Techrek to the FNB fraud division as a fraudulent company, and they promised to look into the matter.

In early January, I called Techtrek again, and this time the operator listened to my inquiry and promised that my paper would be delivered in the next two business days. From the reviews I read, it seems to be their stratagy and I wasn't surprised when a week later the status on their system was unchanged, indicating it as being "Prepared For Dispatch"

Thankfully, FNB agreed with my claims and reversed the transaction. I have learned a lesson about being cautious when shopping online.

On Trustpilot, all the reviews are rated one star, mainly accusing them of being a scam.

Hello Peter, they have more than 77% one-star reviews and 12% five-star reviews, which might indicate they are likely paid for a few good reviews.

It's interesting to note that on Google, most reviews are either 1-star or 5-star. This pattern raises some suspicions, as the 5-star reviews appear to be written by friends.

My Son ordered a TV in December 2025, We have eEmailed and Called and have Chat on Internet. For me this is a Fraud Company. No reply back at all. How can we report it. PLEASE STAY AWAY

SCAM ALERT!!!!!!
I got scammed by Techtrek. I placed and paid for an order last year, and still haven't received the goods.
I tried calling, online chat, and emails, all to no avail.
I have now installed the Trustpilot extension on my browser to alert me against companies like these.
Even though all their reviews is 1-star, they have a Trustpilot rating is 1.8, only because Trustpilot grants every company 7 x 3.5-star ratings from the get-go to give them a fair chance of not being rated 1-star after the first few reviews. They will undoubtedly eventually fall to one star as they get more reviews.
I have noticed only a few 5-star reviews for them on other platforms, which appear to be paid reviews or endorsements from friends or associates. It seems especially suspicious given the near absence of 4- or 3-star reviews.

Techtrek should be be exposed to South Africans and consumer councils or regulatory bodies are scammers,absolutely absorbing hard earned moneys from the poor.
Paid orders are never delivered,follow ups calls or emails are disregarded

Do not buy from this company.
What a scam take your money and then no delivery of items bought.
And then no communications with them.

I have placed an order on 25 November 2025 and still awaiting delivery. I have tried calling, online chat, emails, even requesting a refund with no avail.
Can anyone please advise how do one go about to successfully get a response or refund out of these people?
