Disappointed

I recently completed the sale of my property at Bodmin through Stratton Creber and felt compelled to leave an honest account of my experience.
The sale process was marred by several significant issues that required me to make a formal complaint.
Communication was consistently poor. I repeatedly had to chase the branch for basic updates.
Administration was also below standard. The Memorandum of Sale contained errors after the offer was accepted, and again I had to chase to get these corrected. Basic paperwork should be completed accurately first time.
Recommended solicitors were another disappointment. The branch recommended solicitors to use for the conveyancing process, however I found them extremely difficult to get hold of throughout the transaction.
Most seriously, I discovered that my house key had been left under the doormat between viewings — a clear security breach that put my property and belongings at risk. The initial response to my concerns about this was dismissive and inadequate.
I did escalate to a formal complaint, which was handled at group level by the Connells complaints team. The response acknowledged some shortcomings and confirmed the member of staff responsible for the key incident has since left the business.
The sale did ultimately complete, and to be fair there were staff members who tried to help. However, the overall level of service fell well short of what you would expect when entrusting an agent with the sale of your home. If you choose to use this branch, I would strongly recommend keeping detailed records of all communications, choosing your own solicitors independently, and being prepared to chase regularly for updates

Stratton Creber

I am writing this review to express my satisfaction with the exceptional service I received at Stratton Creber in Liskeard during the sale of my property. I would like to specifically commend Sue and Jamie for their professionalism and efficiency throughout the entire process.

From the outset, they kept me well-informed about the progress of the sale, providing updates in a timely manner. Their responsiveness to my inquiries, as they always returned my calls promptly, made the experience seamless and stress-free.

Their commitment to excellent customer service has left a positive impression, and I will gladly recommend Stratton Greber to others in need of estate agency services.

Good service

There was good communication between the agent and ourselves. They were able get plenty of viewings for our property resulting in it being sold.

Shocking!

Shocking!

Our rental experience has been appalling, with our contact in Liskeard having the nerve to lie!

Expected bank details to be sent unprotected in body of email, which can be easily intercepted, and refused to accept them in any other format.

Moved out of my accommodation on 30 April when the landlords representative confirmed the deposit could be returned.

Still waiting on 15 May for deposit to be returned and advised “ Unfortunately it is not a straight forward bank transfer, once we have actioned the release it gets sent to our offshore team to approve and typically takes between 7-10 working days to reach your chosen account.”

AVOID IF YOU CAN but sadly rentals are in such short demand beggars can’t be choosers.

Been fortunate to own our own properties and this was a short term let inbetween moved.

My heart goes out to people who deal with this type of inefficiency for their entire lives.

Highly recommended!!

Amy R in the Bodmin office is brilliant. Helpful, honest and always available for questions and help. It was an auction and Amy helped me navigate everything easily as it was our first time buying via auction. Highly recommended!

Better result with ebay

Padstow branch never answer their phone. They have marketed our property for 8weeks and we have not had anything from them. No feedback no plan….. no idea… just avoid

PADSTOW agency where totally useless no…

PADSTOW agency where totally useless no clue what each other were doing. They went through 3 managers in the space if 6 months. Nobody ever called us we had to do all the calling. This eventually led to losing our buyer. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND them to anyone. If I could give 0 rating I would.
