Sports Tours International UK Omdömen 

I've just returned from my trip away with Sports Tours Int doing the Etape Du Tour 2026. The organisation, support provided prior during and after were exceptional. I'm sure I could have done it cheaper but I would still use this company next time i do the event. Excellent choice of hotel as well.

I recently took part in the Berlin Marathon 2025. I have travelled Sports Tours on 4 previous occasions. Tokyo,Boston, Berlin 2022 and Chicago. I would recommend their services to future runners. The staff are extremely helpful when booking and whilst you are away with them. Joe, Ellie, Poraig and Ollie spring to mind from my recent run. Also Andy and Julie. Whilst away there is a welcome session where they talk about the route and they organised a 5k shake out the day before the big day. After the big run they organise a fabulous after party. I cannot praise them enough.

Dealing with the Irish Office for a ‘trip’ to the 2026 London Marathon. First off the customer service is terrible, rude lacking empathy. I’m Ceoliac and was told I’d need to contact the hotel myself to see if they would cater for me. €1,900 for 3 nights in London would indicate a better level of service.
I stupidly thought a trip would include the flights, it was the last time I booked with them. Flights are not mentioned anywhere on the site, I had to email them to find out. Now I want to cancel as the attitude of their customer service has been poor. They have now referred me to the T&C’s, informing me I’ll lose my deposit if I cancel.

I paid a large deposit for Berlin but could not race because of injury. I asked to transfer the deposit to another race, Tokyo, much more expensive, but they refused saying the deposit was non-refundable. I was not asking for the money back - I simply wanted to transfer it to another race. The most ridiculous position to take, because it just means I will never use them in the future. If you are going to run with a tour group, this is not the tour group to choose. I have previously only travelled with MarathonTours and I will now continue to do so - they are extremely professional and deal with these situations in a much better manner.

Long story short my partner was due to have heart surgery end of November / beginning of December !!!
Unfortunately her diagnosis has worsened and it’s likely it’s going to be brought forward to end of August / beginning of September !
So this means I miss the Sydney marathon which is over six months away …
I have paid over £900 to STI so far , I rung them today and they advised me that I won’t get a refund of any sort , not even a deferral to next year , NOTHING
My argument is , although they have given me a written email confirming I have a spot they haven’t given me ANYTHING besides , not a registration into the race , nothing whatsoever !
Some advice would be appreciated

I have done Berlin and New York with STI and would recommend them

But in this case I am pretty much disgusted by the lack of understanding and sympathy

AN ABSOLUTE LIE IN REGARDS FOR A SPOT FOR 2026 11/7/25

As you know at present, we have a pre registration held for you for 2026, however, we feel that it would be more appropriate to refund the money to you, so you that you are free to book with another tour operator for 2026, as we know you are not happy with us or our service.
With that in mind, we will go ahead and cancel your pre registration for 2026, and issue the refund, which will appear back to your bank account in 5-7 working days.

Would recommend Sports Tours to no-one. James you reflect a greedy, heartless business owner. You represent Sports Tours in your soulless communication. Total lack of the most basic of customer service. Keep up!
