Good advice. Set up the gun and scope then zeroed it for me. Plus other advice on equipment. This was personal service at other companies mail order pricing.

You said id already come back to the shop? No I hadn't, I've been once to buy and once to return. Secondly the gun was not 6 weeks out at all you're absolutely lying, it was infact less than 25 days from time of purchase to rejecting the gun. Get your information factual before you start publishing lies.
P.s your policy does not and will not ever override consumer law!

The "Helpful" Salesperson (The Sale)
When I first walked into Solware to buy my very first air rifle, the service was great. I was a new shooter, and the salesperson (Alex I believe) was more than happy to take my money (£623). He spent time with me, helped me "understand" the options, and made the whole process feel welcoming while I was a paying customer.

​The Reality (The Problems)
The "helpful" attitude vanished the moment I reported issues. The Remington Mammoth I bought was missing factory-standard accessories (single-shot tray, UNF adapter, and tools), which Hayden admitted via message on the same day—yet I was left waiting weeks for a fix. To make matters worse, the rifle suffered a total mechanical failure and stopped firing after only 10 shots.
​The Attitude & Legal Negligence

When I returned to the shop to exercise my Short-term Right to Reject under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the attitude was appalling. Hayden dug his heels in, aggressively claiming their "14-day store policy" overrode my 30-day statutory rights for faulty goods—which is factually and legally incorrect. He was dismissive and unhelpful, trying to force me into a manufacturer’s repair rather than the refund I was legally entitled to.

​The Manager's Intervention
The manager only stepped in and "barked" at the staff to give me a refund once I made it clear I would be taking the rifle home to initiate a Chargeback through my bank. Even then, he tried to complain about the lack of original cardboard packaging, despite the law stating it isn't required for faulty returns.

​Conclusion
I left with my refund but a very sour taste in my mouth. This shop is fantastic at taking your money, but they will actively try to ignore consumer law and make you feel "forceful" if you dare to ask for a working product. If you are a new shooter, be very careful—they value "store policy" over the Law of the Land.

I bought a new air rifle today a HW100X. The service from the guys at Solware was again nothing short of excellent. Setting the rifle up fitting the new mounts and zeroing my scope and finding the correct gun slip for my new rifle. Thank you all I can not praise enough and will most definitely be back

I was seen by Alex today. I accepted a very fair on my rifle in return for a new Daystate Blackwolf. His manner and confidence was clear to see.
The new rifle was refitted with my own scope and was zeroed free of charge. All in all I was extremely pleased with his service.

Good quality product with good service. Delivery was a bit slow but that was more down to Royal Mail. They answer any enquiries very quickly. Good to deal with.

Sent the wrong knock down targets twice.
Items missing from case of brand new pistol & red dot sight combo.
Brand new rifle arrived with stock loose, as securing cap screws hadn’t been tightened.
Very disappointing.

I went over to Solware Ltd this week for the first time,
what an excellent place, the staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and it appears that nothing is too much trouble. As far as choice and stock levels are concerned you will not be disappointed, I don't think I have ever seen such a selection of equipment in one place. I will be visiting again very soon. With this selection of stock my collection will definitely grow.

Fantastic advice from Alex!

I am coming in new to Practical Shotgun and his wealth of advice was terrific. He was very free with guidance on what to do and how to do it and has set me on the right path.

In suggesting the kind of gun that I might consider as "entry level", he did not push me into buying - and I have not yet done so - but urged me, first, to contact a club and get to know the discipline.
