I needed to remortgage for a transfer of equity to buy my ex-partner out and chose Shepherd Harris & Co Solicitors (if I'm honest, based mainly on location as I didn't have a recommendation for a conveyancing solicitor). What an excellent choice I made! I could not be more pleased with the way that Zheni Zhelyazkova dealt with my case. She was calm and patient, kept me informed every step of the way and managed to complete everything before the stamp duty holiday finished which saved me a lot of money. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending Zheni at Shepherd Harris.

Faced with the daunting task of moving, in order to downsize to a bungalow by the sea.
I put my house in Western Enfield on the market with a local estate agent. On receiving an offer, and being without a solicitor, the agent recommended me to Shepherd Harris and specifically, Zheni Zhelyazkova. I called her on the telephone, where I was put at ease straight away. She told me the fees, for both buying and selling. The next day, I received a detailed letter, itemizing the costs which I was likely to incur. I had not moved for 40 years, so was anxious of the process.
The initial sale did not go to plan and I lost my buyer at the start of the first lock down at the end of March 2020.
This difficulty with the initial sale was where Zheni really showed her professionalism and willingness to go as far as required to secure the transaction. My buyers had been badly let down before and were living in a hotel. Zheni really did pull out all the stops to get the sale through but the buyers became frustrated and at lockdown, they withdrew.
We found another buyer, when it was legally allowed to do so. This went through relatively straightforwardly.
Zheni kept me informed throughout the transactions. Zheni never cut me short on the telephone, or when I visited the office for face to face meetings.
Zheni always uses 'Plain English'.
From my personal experience, I would strongly recommend Zheni Zhelyazkova, and I was not shocked when I received my bill. This was a detailed account of what was agreed at the start.
I am now enjoying my retirement in Bexhill on Sea.

I want thank Zheni Zhelyazkova and her team from Shepherd Harris & Co. Solicitors for the excellent conveyance service they have provided to me. Zheni is extremely professional, always replies to emails promptly, answers queries in detail, is very thorough when researching and does fight for your corner. I have used conveyancers in the past who delegate most of the work to their assistants and still charge you solicitors' fees, are difficult to get in touch and tend not to bother fighting your case in the event that there is any dispute or difficulties along the chain, which can be financially disastrous for the client. I did not experience any of above with Zheni and thanks to her and her team we did not have any dramas or financial losses this time and the sale and purchase went really smoothly. I highly recommend her services, you will not be disappointed. I wish Zheni and her team all the best in the future.
