Investment Refund Not Returned
I became an Elite 485 investor purchaser with S.H.A.R.E. Community Development Corp back in August of 2023. During the investor pitch back in 2023, I was guaranteed a community to be built within a year or two and I would own several multifamily buildings within the communities if I invested with them. I invested $20,000 as a place holder with S.H.A.R.E. In the documented agreement between myself and the CEO/owner (Odell Abdur-Raheem), it stated that if the developer did not produce anything in a years time, that I could get 100% of my investment returned to me if I requested it. I waited 3 years and nothing had materialized except weekly newsletters and quarterly meeting that were essentially the same, no land purchases, no buildings, and no funding but a whole lot of rendered videos and discussion of new technologies that would be added to the multifamily units. We were asked (voluntarily) to send video testimonies about SHARE's vision and in return those that did would receive 5 free new buildings. I just couldn't get myself to do this as I felt I would be misleading new investors as there was nothing to show for the three years I have been an investor with SHARE. After 3 years, I just no longer had the same vision as Odell and wanted out. I decided on May 26, 2026 that I would request via email my investment to be returned to me. When I sent my first request, I noticed that I was removed from the weekly newsletter, then I proceeded to send two more emails to Odell, plus a direct message to Odell through LinkedIn requesting for him to please respond to my email. All those messages went ignored but I know that they were seen as I was immediately omitted from the weekly newsletter. The lack of response addressing to my request is a huge red flag as an investor. After doing a bit of background check, which I highly recommend before investing on SHARE platform, I realize other investors requesting their money to be returned to them are also facing the lack of response from anyone on Odell's team. Only John has responded but very minimally and told me that only Odell can return the investments. I am terribly afraid I will lose my $20,000 on what appears to be a very elaborate scheme.
