CAUGHT….before you book with Sandals…

CAUGHT….before you book with Sandals please read… I GOT ROBBED from the safe in my room!!!!! I visited a Sandals Resort in Jamaica in Oct of 2022.  My credit card was taking from my safe in my room and physically ran at a random automotive shop in Jamaica twice, back to back, for $2500 each.  Totally $5000 of chargers I am on the hook for. Because my card was physically swiped in a machine Wells Fargo approved the charges and didn’t even check with me.  I didn’t even tell Wells Fargo I was going to Jamaica and only took the card in case of an emergency (thinking it would be safer than my debit card).  Not only has Sandals done NOTHING except give me a “investigation number”…they have not provided me with a police report or ANYTHING to help me fight this with my bank.  Visa tells me I have to deal with Wells Fargo and Wells Fargo is telling me that it “appaears” I approved these charges.  They have no signature and no video showing me in the middle of a Jamaica at an auto body shop.  I NEVER even left the resort!!! I have spent hours on hold with Sandals and they kept giving me the run around and asking me for another week and that someone would get a hold of me.  It’s been almost 3 months now and the only communication with them has been because I continue to reach out and beg for their help. Finally today (1/6/2023) they told me there is nothing they can do.  I am absolutely heartbroken that they dont care and did nothing to offer to help me or make it right.  I will tell you the people we met in Jamaica were lovely but it is clearly unsafe.  I am in tears as I don't know what else to do.  Beware and choose somewhere else. It wasn’t worth this nightmare and I would hate for this to happen to anyone else.

We booked club level for 2 weeks at…

We booked club level for 2 weeks at Sandals Antigua. Room was good but one advantage of club was in room dining. However, room did not have a table and chairs to allow this. So never bothered. Grounds beautiful. Dining average. Unable to get sun loungers with shade on beach without claiming them with towels at 5am. Butlers claim best ones by 5 am for their clients so forced everyone else to get up early and do the same. Staff: some good, but many aloof, robotic and didn't interact. Sometimes had to wait up to 45 mins for a table. Customer Care Manager admitted that, as they were nearly full, they couldn't provide the required service to all guests. Sandals boasted 11 fine dining restaurants. However, one was a hot dog cart. Another a pizza oven. The Cafe de Paris was a small cake and ice cream shop. 3 of the other restaurants required a reservation. Of the remainder, each took it in turns to close one or 2 nights per week! No fresh fish: all was frozen. Wild cats in restaurants scratching their fleas and licking their rear ends and being fed by some diners: certainly not fine dining! Wines were good though. Best restaurants were Kimones and Sushi. No info that beach was a public beach with tour touts and vendors constantly harassing you. Entertainment was well below par (more 2 star than 5 star). We had a few other niggles but made the best of it. Beach was lovely. Sand and water fantastic. Main pool superb, but noisy music all day, so not for us. Water sports were great. In summary, this would have been a great budget holiday, but we paid big bucks for 5 star luxury included holiday: and it wasn't. Unfortunately, we read trip advisor reviews during holiday. Had we read them before we would not have booked. All our comments are same as those in many, many reviews; so it seems that Sandals take no notice of reviews. Total misrepresentation. Our advice for anyone wanting a 5 star luxury resort with fine dining, good evening entertainment and stress free relaxation on beach or by pool, is to go anywhere other than Sandals.

Not worth money

Disclaimer: This review is for Sandals Grande Antigua. I have not been to any other sandals.

Pros :
1. Huge resort
2. Big and many pools
3. Nice staff
4. Good beach
5. Multiple options to eat
6. The airport pick up and drop off were very well coordinated.
7. Housekeeping kept the room clean very well.
8. The resort is well maintained

Cons :

1. Even though they say 11 restaurants, not all are open daily. So, in reality, you will have fewer options than 11

2. The service in restaurants can be slow.

3. The staff in the restaurant was not in a hurry to fulfill our requests

4. I had requested a special meal, for which I needed to talk to Chef Andrew. I dialed the front desk to talk to him. They transferred me to his cell number, which went to voice mail. The resort charged me for that call. Even though it was only one dollar, I don't think it is appropriate to charge the guest when the hotel staff transfers the phone to someone's cell number. It was daytime, so I expected the chef to be in-house only.

5. The quality of the entertainment with below average.

6. The quality and skills of the photographers are subpar. We had more than 250 pics taken by different photographers on site, and we could find only ten pics worth purchasing. I went with the desire to buy the 100 pics package but bought only ten pics.

Photographers were not very creative. The only thing they all kept insisting the couples do was to kiss as if that was the only way to get great shots.

They all need to upgrade their camera also. The quality of the pic was also horrible. When I downloaded it from their website (EPIX), the pictures were at very low resolutions.

7. There are not that many vegetarian or vegan options. Cafe De Paris makes Vegan dessert every day, but if you go in the late evening, they will run out of it. This happened every day we were there.

8. Mario restaurants can have almost 2 hours of waiting

9. The environment can be noisy around the main lobby. You may not get peaceful sleep, depending on where your room is.

10. The cheapest room was $ 1000 per night for a couple.

It is not worth that much money- even for the cheapest room.

You don’t come to Sandals for the…

You don’t come to Sandals for the food…It’s hit or miss and pretty good but it will never win any culinary awards…What you DO come for is the incredible locations, incredible people and the Sandals culture, which means : Friendly Staff, cleanliness, good food and reasonable prices for mostly superior accommodations…Almost EVERYTHING is included, including snorkeling and diving … I am writing this from my Swim up room here in Curacao , and it is beautiful, but if you are looking for a Ritz Carlton type experience, you will surely be disappointed… Service is spotty at times but the vibe surely makes up for any shortcomings …

38th Anniversary Celebration

My husband and I stayed at the Royal Barbados Sandals resort from 12/2/2022 to 12/9/2022. This was our third rodeo with the Sandals resort, this by far was the worst butler service resort of the three have experienced. As always, we reserved a package that include the butler service. We quickly found out upon arrival we were not going to get the services we thought we paid for, at least, not the services we previously received in our other butler service packages. Also, we were not informed of the lounge that was specifically for guest with butler services until the next day. We were informed by one of our butlers we should been escorted to the butler lounge to wait on our butler to collect us, however we were instructed to be seated in the lobby area until our butler came to escort us to our room. While others were escorted into the members lounge and treated as if they had the butler services and greater with a pleasant welcome song.

We were assigned 3 butlers, whom were also assigned to several other guests. We didn't receive our tour of the property until the next day, which was very brief, due to the butler needing to leave to service other assigned guest. Other sandals properties we stayed at we were able call our butler to pick us up and take us to dinner or anywhere else we needed to go. This property did not provide that particular service. We had to figure out where the resturants were on our own. Also, the resturants we originally chose were all booked up and we often had to be placed on a wait list or be sqeezed in.

Our first morning we were supposed to have reserved space at the pool, our butler was so busy with the other customers we were forgotten about.

The day of our 38th anniversary, nothing special was placed in our room to finish the night with a boom. At previous Sandals Resorts we've spent anniversary at, we would come back to our room and find a romantic evening set up for us, done by the butler services.

The butlers we had were sweet young ladies, however, they were too stretched out with too many guest to service that they were not able to provide the services we paid for. They too expressed their concern of not being able to provide expert services due to their heavy load of dealing with the other

In a nutshell, we did not receive any of the outlined VIP butler services we thought we paid for. We truly felt there was a breach in

We paid over 13k to recieve services that doesn't come close to what one would expect to come from a VIP package. If Sandals continue with this type of butler services they are going to lose many customers, especially us.

I would never go to Sandals again

I would never go to Sandals again. Wedding was fantastic but everything else went wrong including wedding photo prints not received, air conditioning not working. On checking out advised us that there was a problem with bill as we were moved because of the problem. We were never moved . No point in going on. This was in June. Tried to get money back for unfulfilled orders but no one would even acknowledge us. Eventually my credit card company had to go to legal and sort it out with a settlement after over 5 months of stress. From reviews I have read I am not alone and others have even given up Easy answer don't go to Sandals

Really disappointing vacation at this Sandals resort - difficult to book restaurants, long waits for food, apathetic staff and reserving sunbeds is taken to a new extreme level by the Sandals staff themselves making it almost impossible to get a sunbed by the pool.

There were some positive aspects in that the food, when it arrived, was excellent and there was a great variety of restaurants within the resort. However, trying to make bookings was really difficult, which was surprising as when we were in the restaurants, we were surrounded by empty tables. I understand the resort has staff shortages, which probably also explains why we also experienced long waits for food (almost an hour for just a starter and on another instance 45 minutes for a sandwich).

Perhaps the staff shortages also explains why most of the restaurant and bar staff had quite an apathetic attitude. Naturally, there were exceptions to this, but on the whole, the staff just appeared programmed to greet guests around the resort and the staff attitude in the restaurants and bars was generally quite poor.

Although notices around the resort indicated that sunbeds should not be reserved with towels before 7am, we were absolutely amazed at the extreme level of sunbed reservations around the pool and beachfront. We would swim in the pool quite early each morning (~6:30am) and it was almost normal to see every sunbed around the pool, without exception, already reserved with towels and the people doing this were the butlers. Perhaps the rules don't apply to Sandals staff, but then this just means you openly have two tiers of guests in the resort, and this felt wrong.

We have stayed at a number of Sandals resorts over the years (Antigua, St. Lucia and Bahamas), but unfortunately we feel this experience in Barbados probably signals our last and we will explore other all-inclusive options in future.

Sandals St Lucia

At sandals St Lucia now and find it difficult to believe we have had no toilet paper for the last 2 days. Requested replenishment and was given one role which I hope they think it will not last us the remaining 10 days. Food portions are smaller than we have had before in previous holidays. Tried to book 2 restaurants for 2 nights each but was told they have only one night each. Bearing in mind we are here for 12 nights it would suggest they are only allowing 1 visit per stay which is not as advertised. Bit disappointed so far so will see how we go!!

We went to Regency Le Toc Sandals in St…

We went to Regency Le Toc Sandals in St Lucia - amazing people the best I have ever encountered from Brianna, Uri, Auroa, Terry, Virgine, Cuthbert, Dale (at Pitons) Nico and Nicolo (at Armando’s) to Zach (on the beach) who were all extremely passionate, helpful, personal and welcoming they are a credit to the Sandals brand and really enriched our experience thank you.

Special mention to:
A. Nico whose Italian dishes were some of the best I ever tasted, authentic in flavors and personalized to meet my garlic allergy needs. You felt the love that went into every dish.
B. Zach who shared his passion for his beautiful country with us, his extensive knowledge of the ocean and his love of all the wonderful water activities Sandals has to offer

The reason I am rating 3 stars are as follows:
1. The accommodation is not what I would classify a 5 star plus experience more like 3 to 4 stars with some areas of the hotel requiring repair (eg ladies toilet handles), furniture that was tatty (eg the sofa in our room), parts of the hotel were the paint was cracked and needed a lock of paint (communal areas)
2. The focus of the hotel to please and accommodate American tourists above others! One of many examples is the day of the two footie parallel matches the hotel went with the 1 American fan vs 20 Brit’s who wanted to watch the game. Music played at the pool was heavily orientated to Americans likes
3. Price doesn’t correlate with quality of accommodation as referenced in point 1.

VIsited sandals grande in Antigua end…

VIsited sandals grande in Antigua end of Oct 22 Was sold as a premium resort 5*with private transfers premium drinks etc. When we arrived there was no one to meet us and eventually found reps outside in parking bays and waited in the searing heat for 20 mins for a minibus to hotel on arrival we were swiftly taken to room. Very very tired room with carpets badly stained Bath had no shine as so old. Decided to go to barefoot restaurant as by that time we had been on the go for 24 hours and after waiting 2 hours for meal asked if we had been forgotten. We had to ask for coffee and toiletries top up in rooms towels were not cleaned everyday and room not touched till after 4 pm when we wanted to get a rest then shower to go out for evening meal. Disgraceful service. Certainly not 5* We had a further problem when there was a leak above our wardrobe leaving all clothes damp reception was to give us another room at 11 am the following day so we packed all clothes up only to discover room not ready and it took two and a half hour s for a bell boy to deliver our cases. Incidentally sandals knew there was a problem as everything had been stuffed up with towels which were saturated by leak and brought hatch above wardrobe down. Although advertised as premium drinks cola at bars was drought no Bacardi at all and no white rum for a week. It was also noted no Amaretto and they also ran out of saki at Japanese restaurant. On contact with sandals they have offered points for an upgrade to our next holiday. Totally unacceptable as we did t pay in point and won’t be back. You blew it big style sandals the attitude is take it or leave it Well I won’t be leaving it and taking this further. I booked through Hays travel the biggest travel agent in the UK They need to address this with sandals or stop selling their holidays. Apparently sandals think it ok to say a global shortage was the issue. Really. I’d say more like bad planning. I’m perfectly sure other drinks were watered down too. Oh and if you want a rose wine it’s sorry we only serve red or white and the cheapest bottle of rose is 45$ Altogether false advertising poor management and certainly not 5*

Our first holiday with Sandals - What A Con!

Our first holiday with Sandals, based on their promises of the “World’s ONLY 5-Star Luxury Resort”. Sandals will sell you a promise of sheer luxury, romance, 11 restaurants serving exquisite cuisine, peacefulness and tranquillity. You have a choice of room types, each escalating in price.
Having spent 10 days in the Sandals Antigua resort, from the moment we arrived, we knew we had been suckered by the Sandals hype! So here is our translation for all you future holiday makers of what to expect, rather than what Sandals wants you to believe:
- Don’t expect to get the room you booked! We paid premium for a pool side room. What we got was a first-floor room overlooking a car park. After 30 hours of disturbing confrontation with ‘the manager’ – a hostile man who simply did not give a ‘you know what’- We eventually were moved to another room, again no pool in sight and a whole host of other issues.
- There are not 11 restaurants as advertised! There are actually 7 and some smaller ice cream and snack rooms. Of these 7 restaurants, 3 must be pre-booked and we only managed to eat once in these due to them being fully booked. The residual restaurants are also really difficult to get a table with up to 2 hours wait per restaurant every night. Each have a small set menu so you will end up eating the same food. Furthermore, even the slightest hunger will warrant you having to order 2 main enters as the portion size is embarrassing small.
- The beach is public and swarming with local drug dealers. We stopped using the beach because of the persistent hassle from these dealers and local trinket sellers. On one occasion walking along the beach, I was offered cannabis 4 times and cocaine once from this army of dealers.
- All the rooms are very ‘tired’. Our second room had a leak in the ceiling dripping what we assumed was toilet water (due to it’s location). Fault reported and nothing done. The ceiling fan did not work. The aircon was stuck on “Ice Age” and could not be adjusted. The decor had not seen a coat of paint for quite some time. The drawers smelled awful and we had to take our clothes out as they started to smell. The rooms have the most minimal of complementary toiletries, no robes, no slippers or nay other luxury commensurate with their self-certified 5-star rating.
- Although the rooms do have stocked fridges as part of the all-inclusive, you will be lucky if it re-stocked.
- Sandals Antigua is more like a Club 18-30 holiday – a far cry from the quiet romantic holiday we were promised. If pool all day foam parties are your thing, with loads of really load music all day, then this is for you.
- The staff are, in the most part, so miserable! A few kept a brave face, but the majority were awful. Every query at reception (or anywhere else) met with the same response: “Come back tomorrow!”.
- This is the first resort I have ever stayed at (In the 5-Star category) where all sunbeds acquire a reserved towel by 6am daily in order to actually get a sunbed. Sandals actually promotes this for their ‘Butler Service’ rooms as the butlers take the majority of sunbeds before 6am, putting towels on the beds for their guests. Every day was the same.
I apologise for such a lengthy review, but having given Sandals every opportunity to resolve (or comment) even some of these issues we reported both while on holiday and following our return, without so much as an acknowledgement of receipt of my complaint, and given the eyewatering prices Sandals charge for so many false promises, future travellers’ must be aware of what to expect. Sandals appears to have a 100% ignorance approach with ‘customer service’. Income is the only thing they care about.
However, Antigua is a wonderful island full of friendly people. I would definitely return to Antigua (and I’d recommend it) but only book Sandals if you have a very broad mind, a vivid imagination and money to burn. We saw so many better resorts along the North West coastline. Do yourself a favour, give Sandals a wide berth and select a real resort!

Worst trip ever

Our trip to Sandals Ochi was the worst vacation ever
From check in to check out when shuttle forgot about us
Service was awful , food was awful , restaurant staff was rude and dinner was at least a 2 hour ordeal !
spent thousands more for butler village and it was a complete waste of money
Other then make our dinner reservations which we had to keep asking it was a waste of money
Cats everywhere along with cat urine and feces outside your door everyday that they never cleaned up
They want you to put empty food trays outside door which attracts cats more
The smell was unbearable every time we left room and we had to avoid the cat waste every time
No poolside drink service at main pool had to walk up to bar and wait a half hour since there was maybe 2 bartenders helping people in pool and out of pool which they seem to help people in pool and not pay attention if anyone was standing needing a drink

Room was Cleaned twice during 9 night stay we had to ask for towels daily to shower because they never cleaned the room. I took a picture of the thick dust on coffee table from not being cleaned
when they did do turn down if we were lucky they wouldn’t leave clean towels and leave dirty ones
I have been to several sandal resorts and will never go Back I notified customer service in a detailed email with pics and no one ever acknowledged it

Save your money and select another destination

June 2022, my husband and I made a vacation reservation to visit Ochi Sandals in Jamaica beginning September 25th-October 2nd for roughly $6900.00. While making the reservation we noticed the room we selected for the week was available everyday except Wednesday, which seemed odd and so we called a representative to figure out whether the availability was an error.

We called to speak to a Sandals representative to learn whether the information was an error. She could not explain the anomaly ( the resort would not book a G4 room for one night), and offered us another room for one night. This would mean staying in one room e.g. Sunday-Tuesday in one room, and Wednesday in a different room, returning to the original room on Thursday- Sunday. We were advised by the representative that this was an computer error and for the purposes of completing the reservation for the room of our choice to proceed with securing two rooms. We reserved two rooms and we were assured that she would make a note so when we arrived in Jamaica, the reservation desk would sort it out; this did not happen.

We arrived on September 25th, and showed our room. Approximately 25 minutes into our stay, we noticed towels on the floor and a persistent drip from the ceiling. This drip increased for 90% of the duration of the stay. We notified the butler on Tuesday that we were worried about the amount of water coming into the room and he said he would notify his supervisor. On Wednesday, I asked to speak with the General Manager Ms. Williams. Ms. Williams was not on the premises but a representative in the Concierge office, called her and handed me the phone. I explained the severity of the leak and the unresolved matter with the room. I asked that we meet so I could show her the damage to the room and asked that she compensate us for the poor condition, or place us in a similar room with butler service. Later Ms. Williams connected us to Ms Glenn, who is responsible for reservations.

Ms. Glenn informed us that there were no other rooms available, but allowed us to remain in the room. We were shown an alternative room, which was considerably smaller so we decided to stay and avoid the area with the leak. The leak continued, expanded and ultimately consumed the entire right side of the ceiling in the living room causing water to drip over the bar and television set. This resulted in the staff having to visit the room at least every 20 minutes to replace the towels. It was our choice to remain in the room, however if the staff and management knew that the room was in such disrepair why allow is it to be reserved. Why not call a plumber to fix it. When we asked for partial compensation, we received no response and management was never physically available and no telephone numbers were provided that allowed us to follow-up. In general, I believe this situation was poorly handled and the lack of responses to company survey communicates poor customer service at best.

Very Disappointing Anniversary at Sandals Antigua

I am writing about my experience for my anniversary vacation at grand Antigua sandals on October 2nd through October 6th 2022. During our stay, we never received any acknowledgment for our 15 year anniversary at all! This really upset my wife!
Overall the service was very poor compared to our last experience at sandals in Jamaica. Our first morning we waited 40 minutes for breakfast at Eleanor’s for 2 people. At the barefoot restaurant for lunch, we waited for 10 minutes to be greeted, and then was told it would take 30 minutes to an hour to be served.
I did highlight in my survey to Sandals some of the exceptional service of Talicia, Shanique, Kimberly, Angela and Blondina. However overall we felt the service was very poor and many of the staff were seemingly unfriendly.
Finally at check out, we were told that the credit card machines were not working. Our airport shuttle was supposed to leave at 10:30am and was then rescheduled to 11:30am. We sat in the lounge for an hour and then taken to the other side of the resort to do the check out. The shuttle driver said that he never experienced such incompentency in all of his time working there. The front desk staff were clueless and had no idea what our final bill was and just estimated.
I am writing this because I too am a business owner, and always strive to provide 5 star service to my clients. Sandals has an exceptional reputation which is why we went with them. However, this experience was very disappointing.

My wife and I booked our 30th…

My wife and I booked our 30th anniversary at Sandals in Antigua. I took her there for our Honeymoon 30 years ago and thought we could re-live some memories. I had no issues with booking an ocean front room online. I spent around 6500.00 for a 7-night stay. My issue started when I saw the room, re-living the same decor from 30 years ago except it looked like the room hasn't been cleaned for 30 years. From Cockroaches to rust around the tub, scratched and nasty furniture and carpet that was completely filthy. The staff was not friendly nor competent nor cared about their jobs. the food was 2- star at best. I always touted Sandals to everyone I know and have been to other Sandals on different islands. By far this was the worst Sandals. I was offered by management 10,000 points if I wouldn't write them a bad review. I could not in good faith let anyone else go to this Sandals. If you are booking this Sandals, please do not go to the Carribean side unless you like cockroaches. I only wish i could include pictures.

Burn your money. You will have a better experience

I cannot stress enough how much I advise you to avoid this company. If ever there is an organisation trading off historical reviews it is Sandals. Long story short- two of us were planning to row across the Atlantic. As a treat at the end of having rowed 3200 miles we booked into Sandals Antigua. For various reasons and with three months before departing the event was cancelled. Every other company we had made arrangements with realised our disappointment and bent over backwards to help with refunds etc. And then we contacted Sandals! The response was initially so automated we thought it was AI. Explained the situation and the fact that reviews were so awful that we didn’t want to book at the moment. We were happy to book later when reviews improved and issues had been addressed. We are previous Sandals visitors, having been to two venues previously.
The auto responses continued. “You can rebook now before your already booked holiday but this will attract an outrageously high admin fee or lose your deposit of £350. We asked if we could have a voucher which we could use in the future once issues had been addressed and reviews improved. Answer-“book another holiday now, pay outrageously high admin fees or lose your deposit”. We went back again explaining in more detail just in case the human that responds like a computer didn’t understand and then the same reply.
I can only surmise that Sandals is actually being funded by people who wish to cancel due to bad reviews etc and lose their deposits.
I explained we will book again but again the answer book NOW or lose your deposit. I pointed out that as a business they will lose out on thousands of pounds of future bookings for the sake of £350 to which they didn’t even reply. Several senior managers were contacted but again no reply. Conclusion- would I recommend Sandals, absolutely not. Not only do their resorts seem to be falling apart and attitude of staff seems worse than ever but their customer service is even worse. Will I book again, absolutely not.
Will I continue to raise awareness to the general public regarding the above- absolutely!!
Well done Sandals. Not only have you managed to make a bad situation worse by your insistence “that it is in the terms and conditions “ but you have managed to lose future guest booking. Awesome business acumen. I can only assume you are managed by Gerald Ratner! (Google him)!!

Disappointed vacation

This resort very disappointing in every way. Ranges from dated decor, cleanness, mediocre food, non attentive staff, difficulty getting reservations in restaurants. Spoke to management multiple times without resolution. Save your time and money and go elsewhere.

Con artists - avoid - steal your money

While the holiday made us ill and we had to pay to see a Dr, we gave them samples for them to test (probably for them to see what on the resport made us ill) and were promised we would be given the results. That was in June....still waiting. We paid extra for an annivesary meal, which due to their food or drink, made us ill. 2 different members of staff said that we had been refunded, payment would be on card in 10 days. Still waiting for that as well! I have contacted them countless times-apparently you can't speak to them on the phone (?!) so have to email and wait 28 days for a reply. I have emailed several times....and shocker....no reply, no money, no results. Happy to take your money, but when something goes wrong have no interest in fixing it or or sorting it. I will never ever use them again and cannot tell enough people to not use them either-avoid avoid avoid.

PLEASE DON’T PUT A CARD ON FILE…

I could write a thousand bad things about what happened on our trip but it would get me absolutely nothing. I’ve tried contacting sandals three time since returning on the 31st of august and still nothing. They ruined my wedding and caused nothing but stress. We stayed at the royal in Barbados. DO NOT PUT A CARD ON FILE. When you arrive and check in they will ask for a card to put on file for extra expenses to charge to the room , they insist nothing will be charged until you check out. It started with $400 on the first night, they said it was a mistake but it would take two weeks for the money to be refunded but that they would remove the card from file to prevent it from happening again. After that every night between the hours of 7 and 8pm various amounts would tried to be taken thankfully after the second incident I blocked the card, but they still tried to take different amounts each. I continued to ask why this was happening and why they had not removed my card as promised. They tried to tell me it was a computer error but I informed them that if this was the case the amounts would not be fluctuating and at random times between those hours, it was clear they knew exactly what was happening and it was clear that this is a regular practice of the hotel. In total they tried to take over $3,000 during our stay, We were intimidated in a rather intense setting into signing a contract saying that we would never speak of the incident again, we couldn’t legally sign it due to my husband being in the military but they did everything to make our stay as unpleasant as possible after that. Ruined our wedding and honeymoon and still no word from sandals.
