I ordered some trainers which were delivered in a timely manner. However, the fit wasn't right, so I returned them for a refund. I had only wore the trainers indoors and all packaging was returned complete with returns info within the requested timescale. I didn't keep hold of my royal mail tracking number because I've never needed to quote it before. Sadly because I didn't have this, I have not been refunded the £99 for the trainers. This is really disappointing, so please take this into consideration before ordering from Run4It. I won't be using them again or recommending them to others - sorry.

Staff always really helpful and knowledgeable. Always buy my trainers there at the shop near the Gyle. Highly recommend.

Had my gait analysis carried out my a lovely and non-pushy shop assistant at run4its Giffnock store. I ended up buying some saucony runnings shoes. Very pleasant experience.

Wow, advertising shoes they have not in stock even though they take your money. Not once but twice!
If you need your shoes, please don't order from Run4It as you are likely to let you down. Customer services is no help, Offered an alternative which was to pay far more then the shoe is available elsewhere such as Wiggle or Sportsshoes.com.

Unfortunately I received terrible service at the store in Lothian Road Edinburgh. Treated extremely poorly by the male manager (Findlay). Accused of being a liar and made to feel like an underclass pariah.

In the end when I made a direct complaint to his superiors. They agreed that Findlay had acted innapropriately, however nothing was really resloved, lots of fancy words in response, but no real action, lip service in the extreme.

On the plus side, I was able to purchase the trainers (Inovate Mudclaw) elsewhere, at SportsShoes.com and for £20 cheaper than they sell in Run4It.

My advise, if you want much cheaper trainers, without a pompous attitude from the condescending Findlay, well I think you know what my suggestion would be.

staff really helpful, however managers attitude was not the best on the day I visited, wish I'd gotten his name. Won't be returning for my next pair of trainers.

Purchased new trainers for running 2weeks ago, unfortunately trainers have given me blisters. Brooks offer a 90 day return policy even if you have used the trainers, and quality retailers should be honouring this policy as brooks support them in doing so. Called run4it on a premium contact number to see it I could exchange trainers but have been told I can not as they have been used outside and nothing they can do. Therefore I called Brooks direct to explain the situation and they have rectified the situation, well done brooks, but poor service from run4it. Will not use run4it again.

I ordered shoes on Sunday with free standard delivery, got an email Monday afternoon confirming they'd been despatched, and was running in them Tuesday lunchtime. Very impressed.

I've visited Run4IT's Edinburgh store, and bought from them online. Both experiences were positive.

I'm a decidedly average runner. When I started running with my local Parkrun in summer 2014, I'd let my fitness slide. However, a few professional long-distance runners that I know had recommended Run4It to get geared up. They were right - this company is very professional, and know what they are talking about.

During an in-person visit to their Edinburgh store to buy running shoes, i was given a session on their treadmill. They video your gait whilst running, and recommend a pair of trainers based on that analysis. For me, this meant providing extra support on the outstep of my foot. Your mileage may vary. They can modify their recommendation to both your running style, and to your running environment (running on roads requires a different type of support to trail running, for example.) At every stage, I found Run4It's staff's advice to be valid, helpful and professional. I bought some Summer running tights and tops from them too, and found them to be top quality that survived many runs + washes.

A few months later, I ordered from them online. Whilst there were a few teething issues (e.g., you can't modify your order as easily as you can via Amazon, and the courier delivered to my neighbour rather than the safe place I had stipulated), I can't fault the quality of the items themselves. The three items I ordered in two transactions were delivered thus: 1 of the items in the "two items" order was delivered two days later; the remaining "1 item" order and the second item from the "two items" order was delivered on the third day. That's exactly what you're looking for from online ordering.

I could have saved a little by ordering all the items in the one transaction (Run4IT had an offer on whereby the Mythos windproof gloves I'd ordered could have attracted a 50% discount on the Mythos hat I also ordered if ordered in the same transaction.) However, I foolishly gave another vendor a chance with one of those items (the hat) and was left disappointed when they failed to come through. I should have ordered the whole lot in one transaction from Run4IT.

It'd have been nice if I'd been simply able to amend an existing-and-as-yet-unsent order from Run4IT, hence the dropping of 1 star, but really if I'd ordered from them in one transaction in the first place I'd have got what I asked for at a cheaper price so I can't complain too much.

Besides, price is never my final yardstick for deciding how good a vendor is. Quality is the main factor. And on that count I can't fault Run4IT. Everything I've bought from them has fulfilled its promise. I can't ask for more. Highly recommended
