Completely untrustworthy. 5/10 is a fresh on this site. Even IGN doesn't think a 5/10 is good. It also prioritises professional critic scores over user scores and often there's a massive disparity between the two. 99.9% of the site visitors are users not professional critics, so why does the critics score get pushed when the users are unlikely to agree?

I’ll give it the rating I have for one simple reason..you rely on the audience score post screenings. Over a long time it’s obvious the critic scores are not reliable, probably paid reviews. The majority of critics seem to dislike the films the rest of us enjoy, and vice versa. Going from experience, I trust the audience scores far more.

They have stocks in disney, not to be trusted, do not avoid a movie because it has bad ratings or good ratings from Rotten Tomatoes.

Fandango ruined the site. Now just shows movies you have to rent. Filtering for individual streaming sites does not work.

RT has completely lost it's credibility. Used to be very useful, but now it's completely untrusworthy and Audience ratings are bought by Studios. Films are now review bombed by 'Verified ratings' and RT won't acknowledge the problem or do anything about it. The dreadful Melania film's Audience score was so obviously manipulated, as is the current Michael biopic. Studios are manipulating the 'verified ratings' by paying people to leave reviews, and unless they address this issue people will just look elsewhere.

All of their reviews on recent movies are terrible. It seems that if you promote a certain ideology, you get a high score, no matter how poor the plot, or acting or CGI. I have zero faith. Actually, I would look at movies that have gotten lower scores recently, as those would likely be much better.

The last two movies I've seen are They Harder They Fall (2021) and A Million Ways To Die In The West (2014). I just checked their ratings on Rotten Tomatoes, and my jaw is still agape. The Harder They Fall (88%) was *terrible*, and A Million Ways To Die In The West (33%) was *great*. Seeing their inverted ratings on Rotten Tomatoes has shaken my faith in everything. I'm not kidding. I will not put any stock in a Rotten Tomatoes score ever again.

Do not trust this service. Just like most brands, it markets to a certain audience. 0 truth and really biased. Stop caring about their ratings and ask real people

Rotten Tomatoes is no longer a reliable film rating indicator — and hasn't been for a long time. Genuinely awful films routinely receive strong scores. The ratings have lost all credibility. I won't be using it again

Seems to think very highly of the disney star wars franchise, giving some of the content high 90's. Honestly some of the worst cinema i have ever watched. Wouldnt trust this reviewer for this reason

Rotten tomatoe seems to rate according to politics. Something that is enjoyed and rates well on everything else almost will rate poorly on rotten tomatoe is anything in show or movie is to real and offends etc.

I like my tomatoes ripe but not rotten.

I have seen gorgeous movies being trashed and utter garbage being revered on that site. Go figure.

RT used to be a trustworthy movie review site, but is been infiltrated by bots, hacks and clueless Gen Z kids posting nonsensical reviews for all the modern trash that comes out these days!

Rotten Tomatoes created a user ID for me without my knowledge or participation. I will ignore their ratings from now on.

I remember when rotten tomatoes had reliable reviews from actual audiences.
It's a complete sell-out and useless now. I could not care less what some paid critic thinks (or is paid what to think).
Will never trust the rotten tomato reviews again.

You have to question these reviews when they say the audiences gave Melania a 98% score, and critics gave it 13%. If you've seen it you'll know there is no chance at all that 98% of audiences actually liked it. Bezos spent $70m on buying and promoting the film just to suck up to trump, it would seem he bought a lot tickets too! RT clearly are willing to compromise themselves, so can no longer be trusted and should be ignored.
