Bob and the team at resto haus from start to finish provided an excellent service, I bought a Vw bay unseen as you don’t do, but Bob kept me informed with pictures and videos which gave me confidence, shipping arranged and bus delivered promptly.
I couldn’t fault the service or the bus.
And am looking forward to returning to resto haus.

Contacted Bob at Resto Haus on a recommendation from the person that has looked after our splitty for a number of years as a broker to sell our beloved splitty.

Bob promptly replied with how the process works with them - I was happy with the arrangements and had the splitty trailered to them the following week.

The sale was incredibly quick - within 48 hours - they hadn’t even had time the prep it. It helped that I had some precessionally taken pics to share and support the sale.

Communication was quick and the process easy and worked as Bob had described. I actually went to the showroom the following week to drop the file and spare keys off (not trusting Royal Mail!) - very impressive place if you’re a VW fan. The lunch in the cafe was excellent!

Payment was received exactly when Bob had said it would be with no issues. Confirmation from DVLA of change of ownership received about 10 days later.

Would recommend Resto Haus and wouldn’t hesitate to use them as brokers for any further vehicle sales.

Bob and Charlotte were charming, helpful and honest, the process of dropping off the vehicle for their team to valet and market and thereon to sell was seamless and efficient.

This review is to notify everyone who has a vehicle at resto haus to remove it as soon as possible, through our recent experience and now others coming forward you will probably not get paid once your vehicle gets sold. And if you have recently brought a vehicle of Bob Burrows until the payment has been forwarded to the seller then legally it's not yours. I'm sending this review to warn you of what happens , YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Finally when my vehicle did eventually get delivered it was damaged with no apology. When first speaking with Bob Burrows at Resto-Haus, he seems such a pleasant individual, but he behaved in an appalling, unethical, manner with both myself and the seller of a VW Samba bus I recently bought through him. The terrible experience went on for a total of 3 months. He largely ignored all methods of contact as soon as I'd paid for the bus for weeks on end. When he did finally respond, he proceeded to lie about everything regarding what was happening. The situation only finally got (partially!) resolved on Friday 12th June after a threat of immediate legal action and police involvement by myself spurred him into delivering the vehicle. Even then, he attempted to continue his "con" by switching it to the seller and withholding payment from him that he'd had for over 2 months at that point. The situation was only resolved by swift action taken by the seller & myself to get him to make the payment, as agreed, on the day. After all that, he had even managed to damage the rare, concours condition bus, due to incompetent handling during delivery! Finally... As if all that wasn't already enough, I discover he'd messed up the application to register the vehicle, (first UK registration after restoration) leaving me to do it all again myself from scratch!! The whole experience was just terrible throughout. My advice, avoid at all costs, as a buyer or seller.

Still waiting on payment for van sold in May. I only learned that the van had in fact been sold when I received change of keeper notification from DVLA. I am expecting to launch legal action imminently to recover the money owed.
I am also yet to receive a statement of account despite numerous requests.

Restohaus recently sold my dad’s campervan following his death last year. We’ve not received payment for it yet and need the money for my university fees. It’s been very upsetting and stressful on top of all the painful memories.
We’re now having to look at taking legal action.

As a vw lover this place is amazing...the vehicles in the museum, sorry showroom. (I get confused as the vehicles on display are worthy of a museum ) Are just outstanding. Jaw dropping in fact. We go every Sunday for a coffee and a walk around, as the stock is constantly changing and a few oddities too like Ducati motor bikes! I mean come on it's just dreamy!
This area has longed for something original, fresh and exciting and for me this ticks every box. And I would say the vehicles are world class. They're just outstanding. I wish them all the success in the world. All the staff are super friendly, cool merch, and a great café too!

Love this place, for me it's just perfect. In this current economic climate, and this area, I feel it takes a lot of bravery to open somewhere like this, and these guys deserve every success. And I will support them as much as I can.

went for breakfast and to look at the cars and vans after, coffee was not hot and by the time breakfast arrived we had cold coffee, we you consider that you spend £30 plus on breakfast they still want £10 per adult to look round a car showroom as all are for sale it's was a no from us disappointing as we are local and Vw fans

Amazing array of vehicles, however the communication is shockingly bad. Get a reply from which ever channel you use takes several days or even weeks. Only a single mobile number on offer and it’s never answered 1st time.

I was fortunate enough to be in a position to purchase a classic VW from RestoHaus. The whole experience was great and very easy. Bob Burrows is incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and easy to deal with. He has a tremendous facility in Barnstaple with a jaw-dropping selection of vehicles and was helpful in providing lifts to & from the nearby railway station. Throughout the transaction he was attentive and diligent but without being in any way pushy. The vehicle was expertly delivered to its new home in his covered transport. I can’t praise RestoHaus highly enough and have no hesitation in recommending them. Thank you Bob & hope to see you at a show later in the year.

I just wanted to say a massive thanks to Bob Burrows and his team at Resto-Haus in Barnstaple, Devon for finding a buyer for my 1968 Karmann Ghia.
I’ve been a VW enthusiast for over 30 years and have owned literally dozens of air cooled classic VW’s.
Over the past few years I’ve entrusted the whole process of selling four of my cars to Bob with fantastic results. Each time Bob and his team arranged to collect the vehicles from me and transport them to his Devon showroom, where they were checked over and prepared for sale.
Bob has sold my 1965 Beetle, my 1972 Beach Buggy, my 2004 T5 Camper and most recently, my 1968 Karmann Ghia.
Each time the Resto-Haus team quickly found buyers for the vehicles, at prices I was more than happy with, and dealt with the paperwork and payment for the vehicle. Shortly afterwards the funds were in my account with no fuss - leaving me free to go hunting for my next classic VW!
