Soil stack "repaired" with gaffer tape
I was forced to use Repair Right by their client (a national telecoms contractor) after their engineer caused damage to a soil pipe in my home. The "repair" was carried out by someone with no apparent plumbing qualification, who applied gaffer tape over an unsealed hole in the soil pipe and then reboarded, plastered and painted over the wall. I raised concerns immediately. I was told the work was completed to a high standard and was watertight.
Six months later, after the matter had gone to the small claims court, I paid a qualified plumber to open the wall. The pipe was found with gaffer tape over an unsealed hole - no proper repair had been done. The plumber attending on behalf of Repair Right's client acknowledged at the scene that the repair was unsatisfactory.
The case settled with their client paying my pleaded claim in full, my court fees, and my investigation costs.
If you are offered Repair Right as a contractor by any company that has damaged your property, decline and insist on someone else. I would strongly advise getting any work they do independently inspected.
