My experience with Rentomojo has been nothing short of frustrating.
I rented a cooler that had virtually no cooling and was excessively noisy. After raising a complaint, the product was replaced, only for the replacement unit to have the exact same issues.
What disappointed me most was not the faulty product, but the complete lack of ownership in resolving the issue. Despite multiple calls, follow-ups, and assurances from various representatives, no effective solution was provided. As a dissatisfied customer, I simply requested an early closure of the rental agreement, but the team was more focused on enforcing their policies than addressing a genuine customer concern.
A company can have product issues, but how it handles customer complaints defines its credibility. Unfortunately, Rentomojo failed on both fronts.
I invested my time, patience, and trust into this service, only to be left disappointed and unheard.
Would not recommend based on my experience.

At the time of booking, the advertisement was live and the payment was successfully processed. After waiting more than 24 hours without any update, I contacted customer support. After a long wait, the support agent informed me that the product was actually out of stock and that delivery would take a minimum of 10 days.
What's worse is that the advertisement is still live and accepting orders despite the item being unavailable. This feels like a money-looting practice—take the customer's payment first and make them wait later, regardless of product availability.
Extremely disappointed with the service and the lack of transparency. I would strongly advise others to think twice before renting from Rentomojo. Worst service experience ever.

My closure date was 4th June! which was confirmed by agent and driver and in last moment the driver denied pickup. and there was no Help. Without consent they rescheduled for 7th June.
I already moved our from house on 4th since last day was that.
I raised multiple request over call, chat and emails but there was no response.
I have never dealt with such pathetic service. No Accountability No assurance and No Support!

Absolutely horrible experience with Rentomojo. Their uninstall service was careless, unprofessional, and damaging. While uninstalling our AC, their staff took away the extra drainage pipe and extra wire that were originally bought and installed by us — basically stealing our belongings.
On top of that, their technicians handled the uninstall so badly that they broke multiple plants in our balcony while removing a simple AC unit. No care, no accountability, nothing.
The whole experience felt shady and frustrating. Poor service, careless staff, and zero respect for customer property. Would never recommend Rentomojo to anyone.

Am a highly distressed customer who has been lied to by your company twice.
I have recently rented multiple products and surprisingly three of them were faulty. I have only raised service requests for 2 products as the third one was manageable.
Situation 1 - The RO that I have rented has water leakage from 2 different places. A technician was supposed to come yesterday. I was sent a what's app notification that I was tried to be contacted but was not available. The funny part is there another rentomojo tecnician in my property to repair the faulty washing machine and both the technicians spoke to each other from my phone. How is it possible that I was available for one technician but not available for the other one.
Situation 2 - The ac was supposed to be installed today and same thing happened. I received a what's app notification that they tried to contact me but I was not available. I was actually having lunch with my friends in my room.
I have call recordings and screenshots as proofs and will be taking it up for sure.

I had to give 1 star because I can't give in MINUS. They have opened this company just to torture people in all ways. Be it installation, services, customer help desk- everything from start to end is torture. Live without appliances but DO NOT TAKE THIER SEEVICES unless you've enough patience, waste money or free time coz they gonna take them all.

Pathetic experience with this company. From rude behaviour of delivery partners to incompetent carpenters to defected products, everything was bad. The customer care is not at all available to address concerns. You might have to spend a couple of bucks more in other furniture rental sites, it would be better than this. Buying the product is better than going through this experience.
Rentomojo is fraud
Rentomojo will show x amount in the app and charge you with x+y amount during invoicing. They are not transparent and their customer service is also rude. They are inflated my invoice and now they say you agreed on this. They are not even ready to accept that they had not shared the correct amount earlier.

Pathetic KYC system . Took the money first and kyc did not happen . On contacting the agent again and again he told us to cancel it . Refund has not yet come said it will come in 7 - & days .
He ordered from another mail , took the payment too saying 2-3 days me delivery ho jayega just to get his own commission then put the delivery for 31st that’s almost 5 days . He mislead us . We wanted delivery by 29 th anyhow . Else would have ordered elsewhere.
Now the condition is that we are waiting for the refund and have not got the fridge too !

Their KYC process is non sense
Their KYC process is stricter than getting a loan for no reason, and what's even more interesting are their dumb KYC personnel. Even after submitting all details, they called me twice every day, because they were reading the text wrong. Avoid Rentomojo at all costs, they mention you will get the product in 2-3 days, but their KYC takes a week.

Think twice before ordering! I had to relocate 2 of my products within a range of 300m in Kolkata. The labor charges were NOT mentioned in the service, they promote it as free relocation! The labor said they'll charge 200rs per floor per product (which went up to 2800!!!) and that's not even my monthly rent!!. Nothing was mentioned on the invoice! Customer service said that is not rentomojo charge and disconnected the call! Whatever price you see on the app is only of the product! Hidden charges are there, without clear mentioning.

The company is trapping customers by saying one month deposit and rental monthly. They collect the deposit first. At the time of KYC they ask for 6 months bank statement(which customers may not feel comfortable due to so many spams) or ask for full rent. If not provided, they fail the KYC and say will refund deposit in 7 days. Why are they taking deposit before KYC is completed. Why should customer wait for one week. I think this is a classic case of baiting
Horrible Customer Support and Zero Accountability
I’ve used Rentomojo for a while, but my recent experience during closure was a nightmare. Their customer support is practically non-existent — no working phone number, emails that take 48+ hours to get a reply, and a chatbot that only forwards messages to an “operations team” that never actually responds.
I booked a pickup more than six days in advance. First, they said it could happen anytime during the day. Then, they changed it to a 6–8 PM slot, despite me clearly informing them that my society doesn’t allow pickups after 6. No one turned up — and then I got a call from their delivery partner at 11 PM, when I was already in the middle of moving cities late at night and preparing for an early flight.
Now, instead of acknowledging their failure, their team keeps calling to reschedule. I’ve told them to email me — I’ll respond in the same relaxed 48-hour timeline they seem to think is acceptable.
Rentomojo seriously needs to fix its customer service and operations before causing more stress for paying customers. Proceed with caution.
