Treatment following mastectomy for type 2 Lobular Breast cancer. I’m an NHS patient, but I can compare my treatment to a friend with similar cancer and subsequent surgeries who took the private route. At no point did I feel that I was getting anything less than the absolute best care and attention. I am very pleased with the results of the reconstruction of my breast so far, I never imagined I would be able to feel happy with my body again but I’m almost there thanks to the excellent care from the ever upbeat ( which is exactly what you need when you’ve had cancer) Mr Uppal and his team.

I had a septorhinoplasty with Mr Uppal to correct a deviated septum and improve the overall appearance of my nose. My nose has always caused me to be self conscious and to have this procedure has been something I have wanted to do for as far back as I can remember. I finally took the plunge and decided to research plastic surgeons who specialise in rhinoplasty. Having had several consultations, I came across Mr Uppal. After meeting him, I knew instantly he was the right person. He is incredibly talented and experienced, not to mention just absolutely lovely! He made me feel at ease and we talked in depth about my concerns. He showed me some predicated images of the type of outcome that could be achieved to look natural and suit my face. I was very conscious of not having a fake looking nose that had clearly been operated on.
Despite talking with other consultants, I knew immediately that I wanted my procedure with Mr Uppal and from there on we arranged the surgery date.
On the day of the surgery, I was admitted to the Princess Margaret hospital in Windsor. I was escorted to my own private room which looked like a hotel room! The staff were very attentive and friendly. I met the anaesthetist and soon after was taken to theatre. I was surprisingly calm and not nervous at all. I put that down to Mr Uppal and his team.
After I woke up, I felt a bit groggy but I couldn’t believe there was no pain. I never needed to take any pain relief immediately after nor during recovery. Of course it’s uncomfortable in the sense of being completely bunged up and having to mouth breath but honestly that was the worst of it. I was discharged later that day. I spent the next few days resting. I received a call from the hospital to see how I was doing which I thought was a lovely gesture. A week later it was cast removal time, I can’t describe the feeling! I cried tears of happiness; as to me, I finally looked normal. Mr Uppal and his team have been very supportive during my recovery, whenever I’ve had a question, it has been addressed quickly and communication has been fantastic. I never felt I was being a “pain” and have always been encouraged to ask and keep in touch. Mr Uppal’s secretary (Sharon) is wonderful! As are, the other members of his admin team. I’m now 3 months post op and am healing well. There is still some residual swelling at the tip, which is to be expected and can take up to 12 months to subside. However, the improvement is really remarkable and I love it!
If you are a considering a rhinoplasty, I couldn’t recommend Mr Uppal enough. The experience far exceeded my expectations. Thank you so much Mr Uppal for changing my life and helping to restore my confidence. You are truly amazing.

A seamless rhinoplasty procedure from start to finish. Mr Uppal and his team kept me fully informed from the outset and throughout. It was evident Mr Uppal’s main aim was to ensure I was content but also fully aware of relevant factors. I was encouraged, and still am, to ask questions. Dr Uppal and his team were amazing from start to end. I had my surgery Sep 2014 (I believe my nose is completely healed now), and I couldn't be happier. The results were exactly what I wanted. I’ve waited a long time since my rhinoplasty surgery to write a review (nearly 2 years post surgery now) because I wanted to write one when I was finally fully healed. I actually still have a little way to go in terms of seeing the “final result” due to scar tissue and swelling on the tip of my nose, but I am however, completely happy to comment on the treatment and service I have received from Mr Uppal and his team thus far.
I did a lot of research before choosing Mr Uppal to carry out my very long awaited rhinoplasty, it’s something I’ve wanted for as long as I can remember and I’m so happy I went with him. His knowledge is second to none, he is kind, happy to talk and discuss concerns, and I have continued support even though I am 2 years post surgery.
In terms of his work, his results are so natural looking most people didn’t realise what I’d had done (which initially annoyed me as was hoping for a “wow your nose!!” response) but actually as long as I see the change it doesn’t matter about others (and also made me realise it was always more MY problem than anyone else’s anyway). But what I can see is that once this final bit of swelling is healed I will have a nose that blends into my face and is no longer taking over my face!!
Everything about my experience with Mr Uppal and his team has been positive, the communication, the care (before and after surgery) and I can definitely say it was the best decision I ever made.

I had nose surgery almost a year ago with Mr Uppal and the after care has been second to none. I have had several appointments with Mr Uppal to improve the swelling and he continues to work with me to make sure I am happy with the outcome. Sharon is also fantastic and so responsive.

Any form of surgery is a huge event. Choosing a surgeon can be a daunting task, nevertheless I cannot recommend Mr Uppal (Uppal Plastic Surgery) and his team enough! Following two nose surgeries a few years ago I noticed it was starting to look a little uneven so I went in to see Mr Uppal who said it was due to scar tissue and booked me in for a steroid injection. I had this done today and felt totally at ease but will obviously need to wait to see the results take affect. I was assured that if I wasn’t happy with the finished result I could go back again for another appointment, free of charge. I feel like even after years of having my original survey, I can go back to Mr Uppal and he will always look after me.

Mr Uppal is brilliant. From my first consultation to now (2 months post op) he has been a dream. He knew exactly what I wanted from the get go and despite challenging surgery (I have thick skin) I am BEYOND happy with the result. He's given me the nose I always dreamt of. Sharon his secretary is also wonderful. If you are considering rhinoplasty then Mr Uppal is the one!

Mr Uppal is a great surgeon and I've felt in good hands throughout my treatment. I am very happy with my results and although I have needed some follow-up aftercare, I've been received quickly and given what I need with a continued high level of care. His team is friendly and helpful too. I'd recommend thinking of what questions you want to ask and make a list so you remember during the consultation, as it is easy to forget during them!

I simply wanted to say Thank you to Mr Uppal and his Team. Right from the first initial phone call with Sharon to now, my experience has been exceptional. I expect this will continue as my recovery moves forward with ease. Knowing that I had full support and everyone was easily and readily available has made this journey a joy. Having elective surgery in your face is probably the most difficult and daunting decision a woman can make, however I can truly say that the results are worth the doubt and worry. Mr Uppal himself is simply amazing, with great bedside manner and super easy to get along with. He makes me smile. I recently had a rhinoplasty with Mr Uppal. I researched lots of surgeons and decided to choose Mr Uppal because it seemed that he focuses on creating a natural looking nose for his patients and this has definitely been my experience. At our consultation, he showed me image suggestions of what he could try to work towards in the surgery and altered these when I told him I wanted a different look. He talked to me several times before I went in for the operation to reassure me as I was nervous about the outcome, and was very patient with me contacting him lots of times. My nose is still healing as I had my surgery less than two months ago but it is looking great so far, I'm glad I invested in a skilled surgeon and I would definitely recommend Mr Uppal to anyone seeking a surgical rhinoplasty.

Mr Uppal has been my plastic surgeon since 2008! He is great at listening to you and your concerns as the Patient which in my experience is important when seeking medical expertise.
He is an excellent surgeon with a wonderful bedside manner! I trust him and know he will do his best at looking after me to obtain the results wanted.

I always struggled with how my nose looked like. I had 2 nose jobs before in my 20s, went to one of the famous doctors in Harley street and still I was not happy with the result. When I hit 40 I decided to give it another go and this time I did my research. I looked for reviews and came across Mr Uppal. I pointed out what I did not like about my nose and he reassured me that he could give me a better result. After the operation I have to admit that I was not pleased with it. Mr Uppal said that it would take some time For the nose to heal. The post operation care was excellent. He kept seeing me every 3 months to check on the progress without charging me a penny. None of the previous surgeons provided me with any after care. I am finally happy with the result, it took 2 years but I can finally say that I can now relax and enjoy my 3rd nose(!!) :-) I would definitely recommend Mr Uppal, he is a great surgeon and takes pride to his work. He does not forget the patient after operation is done, he is happy when patient is happy and for that I give him 5 *****.

I honestly found the whole experience surprisingly easy.I came out of the operating theatre asking myself whether the surgeon had done anything after all .My hand has recovered really well and looks good.Thanks to all .

Just over three weeks into my post-op recovery and I am doing well. I am very pleased with the straightness of my nose - what a fab result! - and had a good review appointment with Mr Uppal recently. I am reassured that swelling is currently causing my nose to look a little lopsided and to feel blocked on one side in these early stages and that minor tweaks can be made if necessary later. I left my appointment feeling happy and well cared for. I know I can ask for guidance, advice or reassurance at any point.
