In my experience, Pure Property Management of North Carolina has demonstrated the least effective property management company I have encountered. The communication between the management company and myself was inadequate, and they failed to rectify an issue that resulted in the unpaid rent for my last month’s property, which was paid by the tenant and reflected on my invoice. Despite this, the company continues to refuse to release the funds. Having utilized other management companies for 20 years while owning the property, Pure Property Management of North Carolina has consistently demonstrated inadequate management practices and has been the most ineffective company I have encountered.

While the gentleman who inspected the property did a thorough and professional job, nobody else has ever contacted me to accomplish any of the work he documented and which needs to be done. Pure offers poor service and almost a complete lack of concern for the properties. I was left on 4th of July weekend two years ago for four days with no a/c in 100 degree plus weather. Temp was 92 degrees in my bedroom. Similar lack of concern or service when the bladder on the water heater burst and they would not send anyone to fix it for 30 hours. I had already called my friend John Blitch of Blitch Plumbing who had someone out in 10 minutes. When I spoke to the lady at Goose Creek Heating and Air and told her Pure Property told me they didn't have any servicemen available, she said she had at least a dozen repairmen on call that weekend. Terrible horrible service and if my neighbor across the street didn't know the homeowner, none of these awful problems would ever have been addressed. I got stuck with the plumbing bill for fixing the ancient water heater and soldering the new bladder on--$400. Ken whatever his name is that owns the home has already gotten an earful from my neighbor Steve who can see that the property management company is not keeping the property up (trees need trimming, gutters have trees growing from them, the house needs mold pressure washed off the siding, and palm trees are growing in the flower beds by the dozens. By the time you send someone to attend to them, they will need a backhoe to dig them out. Marshall the inspector was a real nice gentleman. Pure Property management is awful, terrible and should be ashamed of their lack of attention to the property and the complete disregard to the homeowners. I will be posting this on the Pure Property Website or comments page on Google Reviews, so that potential renters or homeowners can beware of neglect before they are neglected. I cannot think of a more irresponsible company. The front door lock has not worked for years. Marshall noted that as have dozens of others and you have done nothing to rectify the problem! Don't send me a survey unless you want to hear the truth about your complete disregard for me as a longtime renter.

Unprofessional and Dishonest property management. I strongly advise against doing business with Pure Property Management. Under manager Lisa Martin, they harassed tenants, mismanaged the property, and pocketed security deposits. My experience was extremely stressful, and they ignored tenant rights and broke laws. Avoid renting from them!!!

We are property owners who retained Pure Property Management to manage our home almost two years ago. They are absolutely effing useless, if you have any other option then take it! At *best* 1 out of 10 emails will receive a reply and voicemails even less than that. They perform unapproved non-emergency maintenance exceeding $500 in violation of contractual terms. Just absolute garbage people and company. Execrable.

I would not recommend Pure Property Management to any property owner. Their lack of communication, poor accountability, and failure to advocate for the owner made my experience frustrating and costly.

1️⃣ Terrible Communication – Getting updates was a constant struggle. Emails and calls were often ignored, and I had to chase them down for even the most basic information.

2️⃣ Failure to Enforce Lease Terms – Instead of protecting my property, they sided with tenants who clearly violated the lease and downplayed the damage caused.

3️⃣ Delays & Lack of Action – Despite holding tenant funds for repairs, they dragged their feet and refused to move forward in a timely manner, making the process unnecessarily difficult.

4️⃣ Unethical Practices – They seem more interested in collecting fees than actually managing properties responsibly. When concerns were raised, they avoided responsibility instead of providing solutions.

🚨 Stay away, especially from Becky Star. If you're looking for a property management company that communicates, protects your investment, and follows through on their responsibilities—look elsewhere. Pure Property Management is not it.

Horrible!! disgusting! Rude as hell! They lie!

These property management companies are the worst. As bad as the housing crisis is these people are straight out of a future dystopian movie. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

This company is all about making money. After a 12 month rental on my Nashville, TN townhouse, they charged me a fortune to "Spot Clean" and "Spot Paint". After I saw halfway cleaned / painted townhouse, I requested for them to come back to clean, they charged me again and threatened me to a collection agency. The agent totally agreed that it was a halfway cleaning job! Never again will I use this company. Shame on anyone who hires them without checking out their "5 Star" rating!!! They are not even associated with the BBB. Now I see why!!
I do not recommend this company to anyone.
