I had a problem after I changed broadband companies I contacted Pure Drive and Pavel visited within a few days and fixed the issue within a few minutes. A long journey from Glasgow for just a few minutes work. Thank you Pavel.

Pavel the engineer was very helpful, friendly and full of information, helping me understand everything fully.

Puredrive really stand by their products, after swapping the battery for a second time and updating the inverter firmware we’re back in business. Battery now discharges evenly all the way to 15% as originally intended. Many thanks to Brandon and Hugh for patiently waiting for the Solis firmware to load before swapping the battery. Also a shout out to Tyla who persevered with sorting the issue from Puredrive HQ.

Having 3 different companies involved in trying to sort my solar system was a nightmare however when anything was battery related, prompt replies, personal phonecalls and dealing with a very small number of people, mainly Will, meant they knew what was going on rather than re-explaining myself. They also liaised with other companies when I had enough.
The battery swappers were also very efficient and polite.

Had a great customer service experience. Ben was friendly, very responsive and most helpful. My issue was quickly resolved and I felt valued as a customer.

If we could put a ZERO STAR we would shockingly inept customer service - constantly having to call back to grade them up regarding our battery which hasn’t connected since INSTALL in August 2025!!

No accountability - unwilling to organise an engineer or give us a date, as it’s “ process based” ????!!! In response to our request to come out ( we are in East Lothian) on an urgent basis as we have no heating and our bills are over £110 a WEEK!!!

Warmer Homes Scotland have been in touch earlier to advise that there are SIGNIFICANT MANUFACTURING ISSUES with the batteries and are chasing up PUREDRIVE.

An absolute shambles!!!

It has now been two years since I installed a solar panel system at my home, which includes a 5kW Puredrive battery (model SOL-R16-5KWh) for energy storage.
In December 2024, after a year of reliable operation, I encountered a significant issue, the battery failed to function in temperatures at or below 0°C. During this period, the battery discharged to 0% and would not accept a charge. This unfortunate situation prompted me to reach out to Puredrive, and they promptly replaced the faulty battery. Following the replacement, I was pleased to see the new battery operating without incident for an entire year.
However, once again, I faced similar challenges during December 2025 and January 2026. The replaced battery struggled to charge in the cold weather, leading me to get help from Puredrive's customer service. I spoke with Mr. Tyla, who was incredibly responsive and arranged for a technical inspection right away.
On January 19, 2026, Ms. Katie from Puredrive scheduled an appointment for an Engineer, Mr. Pavel, to examine the battery. When he arrived, he conducted a thorough check-up and confirmed that everything was functioning as expected. During the visit, Mr. Pavel offered a practical solution and he advised me to cover the battery with a blanket to insulate it from the cold. This simple yet effective measure, he assured me, would help maintain its performance in low temperatures.
I would like to thank the field engineer Mr. Pavel for his wonderful support and advice on protecting the battery at cold temperatures.
I appreciated the Excellent service and the expert advice provided by the Puredrive team. I remain hopeful that with proper care and insulation, my solar battery will continue to operate effectively in winter months.
The 5Kwh energy doesn't meet my needs, I plan to purchase an additional Puredrive 5Kwh battery to make the total energy to 10Kwh.

I contacted puredrive to discuss an issue I was having with my battery. After being unable to charge it or work out what was wrong myself. I was offered an appointment for an engineer to attend.
When the engineer came out to my property, he arrived when he said he would and got the job done efficiently. Just wanted to say thank you to Tyla for the work carried out and for explaining everything to me throughout, what an asset to the company!

Great service from Tyler at Pure Drive. The phone was answered promptly and problem diagnosed via internet connection to the system. The battery was replaced quickly and professionally.

Cannot fault Tyla! The one who managed to think outside the box to sort the actually lost simple issue with the server.

I've had a Puredrive Purestorage II AC 5KW battery in place for almost three years now. Apart from one instance where I ended up having to remove the side panel under guidance from their support and reboot everything to bring it back to life, everything has worked as expected.
We decided that now would be a good time to expand the system to 10KW as whilst the 5KW was adequate it did not always meet our requirements. One of the reasons we bought this system was because on the Pure Storage website it stated that the system is expandable by adding additional batteries where required. So I contacted Puredrive to see what was available for our system. Then came the shock as I was told that the 5KW AC unit was not expandable unlike the DC units. I went back to the website to double check and sure enough there is no mention of this. I pointed this out to their Sales Manager and asked for options. He said that if I wanted he could get someone to quote me for a replacement system. Which is obviously unacceptable to us. So I sent him the following.
"Thanks for the reply. In that case could I suggest that you make a change to your page on the website for the Pure Storage II battery. At present it just states that you can add storage without stating that it is not possible with the AC system. That would avoid users like myself who love the current product being disappointed in the future when they realize their expensive mistake."
Two weeks later I'm still waiting for a reply.

Had a great response from Tyla which resolved my problem

Harry was exceptional on the phone today. Firstly the phone was answered very promptly and he then guided me through each possible step to troubleshoot the issue until full resolution. Saying I am a very happy customer is actually an understatement.

No meaningful response from PureDrice. I wanted to contact PureDrive about my battery in my PV/battery installation. So I messaged them on their messaging system on 6/12/25. The response I got was"Thanks for your message Mike. We're away at the moment and unable to reply. We are available from 9am to 5pm on weekdays and will try to reply as soon as possible! 😊". So I waited a bit. But by 17/12/25 there was zero meaningful reply from PureDrive. So I wrote back to them by messaging on 17/12/25 and 18/12/25 and got the same meaningless replies. Hence me writing here. But, frankly, I think this type of response is disgusting and really I think this company and it's products should be AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS.
UPDATE 23/12/25: Today I received an email from Trustpilot asking me to give further information about my above review.This I have done today. Pity they didn't actually read the two messages I sent them previously about all this. It seems they only respond to you if you call them out on Trustpilot. Anyhow, let's see what happens now.
UPDATE 29/12/25: So PureDrive have got back to me. They eventually phoned me and said they had made some more batteries like I have already fitted to my installation. They said I could contact an installer, get them to buy the battery from PureDrive and fit them. So I will pursue that avenue. I have changed the rating to 3 to reflect this new information. Apparently the messaging service I have been using (PureDrive) is no longer monitored closely and I should have used a Duracell messaging to contact PureDrive. Still confusing and I suggest PureDrive put their new contact details on the message for their old PureDrive messaging service.

Have had Pure Drive out a couple of times since I have had ownership.

Which could make one nervous about the product. But 'stuff happens' It is how companies react that differentiates them. On all occasions the Pure Drive customer service (Katie) interaction has been professional throughout. Which in itself is a huge relief. As too often the service side is not given appropriate attention and focus. And with new technology customers need reassurance that support is present.

Tyla and Katie really helpful in getting issues resolved quickly

Technology can go wrong, unfortunately, but when you've spent thousands of pounds on a Solar / Battery system, you want it working...100%.
My problem couldn't be solved remotely over the phone, so Tyla at Puredrive organised a site visit for me. The Puredrive engineers gave the battery system a through overhaul and all is running okay now. A job well done.

I had a battery that was 3 years old and I noticed a slight deterioration in performance. In a few days I had an engineer that tested it and declared it needed to be replaced. Not only was it covered but he already had one with him and it was replaced without any fuss. Thanks also to Katie and Tyla customer service team. Katie for arranging the visit in the in the first place and Tyla for being so patient and helping with some app issues subsequently.

Marc and Will arrived promptly as notified by text. They were knowledgeable regarding issues with Puredrive batteries and failure modes. Checked all components of my solar/battery system and replaced the faulty battery within 40 minutes.
