Very efficient, well organised, good prices, couldn’t ask for more. If we lived closer would use for everything.

They are ok if you book in advance and they get the job done, usually pretty quickly if you get there on time (don't bother getting there early as they'll keep you to the original appointment time and you'll end up waiting for ages). Seats in the waiting area are comfortable, but there's no heating.
On the downside they are always trying to upsell stuff you don't need with scare stories if you don't have them done; for example, telling me that I needed my brakes replacing as it's an MOT failure, yet I had had the MOT done two days previously and no mention was made of the brakes. I've since done over 20,000 miles on them without any problems.
So OK and cheaper than the garages, but only four stars because of the upselling.

Very poor service. I arranged to have my car booked in- in person on 22/05/2026 to check rear tyre and possible replacement for the next day 23/05/2026. But when I arrived at 1 pm on 23/05/2026 I was told that there would be a long delay, and they couldn't even tell me how long the delay would be. I explained that I had booked the car in yesterday for 1 pm today and the reception staff said there was nothing they could do about it and if I liked I could book the car in for monday 25/05/2026. I have no confidence the same would not happen again.Although one member of staff apologised other staff appeared totally unintersted. Obviously their pre-booking system does not work and I wasted my time and 2 trips to Lillyhall. I will not be using this company again.

Appointment at 2pm car took into garage at 2:55 other customers coming after me we seen and sorted before me

The toilet was a mess there was a coffee machine but was empty on both days I visited

I attended Protyre to get a slow puncture repaired. I asked for it to be looked at and they confirmed they do repairs. They came back to me saying they couldn't repair and a new tyre was needed ( significant more cost). I asked to look at the rye and they had already disposed of it, assuming (without asking) if I needed a new tyre. The puncture was due to a small oinnin the centre of the tread. I asked why it couldn't be plugged . I know if on the outer edges this isn't possible ( it wasn't). I was then told there were some fine cracks in the tyre rubbe4. For me these are typical for the tyre age and not an issue for safety or other. Disappointed to say the least and will now use the local garage for an honest opinion. Have used Protyre over a period of 20+ years.

Had a bit of problem with my tyres but Jess was very helpful and got me sorted the following week. Great service and very helpful. Thanks Jess.

Booked a slot on line to get 2 tyres fitted 2.30pm car went in garage 3.45pm sat another 15 minutes got out of garage 4.20pm

Great service everthing was eexplained clearly to me before and afterwards . Really competitive prices would definitely recommend.

MOT side of the business is fine. However my experiences over the last few years whilst waiting for tyres done is very different. Having experience in line management I can see where the company fails and not working to its best possible capacity. There is too much talking , vaping ,eating and drinking on the job while customers are left watching them. Its soo frustrating and also a couple of the desk admin staff in reception need 💯 proper customer service courses, to the point of being rude in the past.To sum up, the staff need reeled in and given some serious feedback as it definitely could be better and the management need to act on this as Im 💯 not alone.
