Excellent quality garments, great fit.
I had to go one size down from what the size tool recommended, but otherwise the overall experience with this brand is superb.
One garment I ordered had a flaw, but returning the item and receiving a new one was easy with helpful customer support, and a replacement arrived super quick.

Bought my Ventile mac 3 years ago, took it out of the cloakroom to wear as the weather warmed and the French Blue is now a faded grey. Contacted Private white asking how I could restore the colour and was told thats just ventile fabric, a £450 coat now looks like a caretakers overall. I've bought high st products that have lasted longer, save your money and shop at Reiss.

This was my first time buying from Private White and I was hoping so much more. The quality was poor and the serviceworse, I bought a present but the quality wasn't what I was expecting, the support team didn't help at all and rapidly I missed the very short return period. Wish I'd read these reviews beforehand!

I was recently informed by Private White VC that I had purchased my 100th item. Based on this I feel though I can comment on their quality and service. Of the 100 purchases only one came with an issue (a pair of sweat pants with problem stitching). That item was quickly returned and fully refunded. Every other purchase has been consistently high quality and without any problem. I have returned about 4 items as they did not look or fit as I expected. Those items were also promptly refunded or replaced. Overall I am consistently pleased.

Only option for delivery £10 next day delivery, 2 days later no sign of product. Interaction with live chat AI completely unhelpful. I didn’t want/need next day delivery but have had to pay for it yet not received the item the ‘next day’.

I’m in Sweden and ordering from Private White V.C. was effortless: free shipping and no surprise import charges despite UK origin. Returns were straightforward and processed promptly; note that return postage is deducted from the refund.

Communication could be quicker, though I always received replies by email. The automated sizing tool overshot for me (it suggested a 6; after trial I’m between 4 and 5), returns I was charged in refund and could have been avoided with more detailed measurement descriptions and better sizing tool. Fulfilment took a few days before dispatch, which could be improved.

None of that outweighs the product: Thoughtful material choices, refined finishing, and designs that sit cleanly over tailoring. After my first purchase I’ve already bought two more (that haven't arrived yet). If you value quietly robust, well-made outerwear, PWVC is an easy recommendation.

poor experience. Ordered and paid for 2 items. Then told actually we are out of stock on one sorry. reimbursed me for the out of stock item. but their £10 shipping charge means i will have to pay another £10 to receive it should i buy when it is back in stock and lose the first order discount i was getting on it. braced for disappointment on the remaining item. But they have a long way to go on their service standards.

I found the delivery and return service pretty good. The garment, however, was shockingly substandard: lightweight cord, unlined and very short in the body. Arms were really quite long which seemed very odd. Btw, there's no (or limited) utility in cashmere cord: cotton is preferable. I was even more surprised by the quality a competitor provided in a very similar looking jacket at almost half the cost of this oddity - lined, jetted pockets, 4 working cuff buttonholes and medium weight cord fabric. A pleasure to wear at a fraction of the cost. I can't imagine how Private White came up with this and who would actually buy it.

I have during the past year bought several garments from Private White and I have been extremely happy every time! Quick delivery in the time promised every time!

I now have a wardrobe with the Ventile Mac, the permanent style Bridge coat, the Lowry Great coat, three Ls Polos and a Cashmere ribbed scarf. All of which are of excellent quality in every way.

I ordered a Peacoat reduced in the sale and later received an email saying it was out of stock despite the order being accepted.

They dithered over sending me an equivalent and eventually refused however in the mean time the other options I’d considered with other shops had gone on sale and sold out.

Obviously now I’ll wait until next winter to try a different manufacturer but clearly Private White VC’s customer service is incompetent bordering on dishonourable.

Never again and I would advise strongly against anyone considering placing an order with them.

Surprisingly bad quality and customer support was dreadful when issues were raised.

I've purchased several jackets and coats, as well as shirts from PWVC, but always on sale. The retail price is simply too steep for me. However, the quality has never been anything but excellent and shipping to the States has been fast and efficient.

Really poor quality for the price, I contacted support as rather than being apologetic they were dismissive and just repeated terms on their site. I would not buy from them (directly at least). Really disappointing

Really disappointing quality and support. I had issues with a shirt I received for Christmas, basically misaligned sewing on the arms. I spoke to their support but they were disinterested and came across as quite rude and aloof. Ended up just accepting that I have a wonky new shirt. I had high hopes but I guess I won't be buying anything from them in the future.

Just received my peacoat a couple of days ago. At first the coat seems to be of very good quality, then you wear it for the first time and you realise that the coat has a major design flaw. You cannot close the collar button... There is a button and there is a buttonhole, but you can forget about closing the coat all the way to the top if it's windy out there. At first I thought I could move the button a couple inches, but the button hole position matches with the intersection of the collar and the body, just where they are sewn together. This is terribly dessigned and engineered...

This is the kind of detail you notice only after you took the labels off, so based on PWVC return policy, I'm stuck with a coat that can't be closed properly...

Considering how highly they speak of their own sense of quality and attention to detail, this is really disappointing. This is not a mistake that other high-end brands would make... Very disappointing...
Maybe that's the secret to the "lasting a lifetime" claim, as you won't wear it that often...

Expensive for what they are offering. Quality could be better I bought two denim shirts within a few months two buttons came off the shirts, okay it may not seem much but with the prices this company charges it seems their quality is not up to the prices they charge.

I Purchased a few items from private white and to be honest I felt that for the price , the items didn’t equal what I payed for. I think these items on sale can be a good add but then again they never have my size and also they aren’t located in USA

Well made excellent garment. Excellent choice of fabrics, weave, weight, finish. From survived UK mills. Donegal, tweed, merino, long fiber cashmere, etc. The cut, style, attention to details. Suitable as street wear or classic wear and that balance is the one not easy to catch! Investment actually. Garment build to last and look good in a decade.
Knitwear is thing of beauty, too. Prompt shipping. Immediate support response to customer's questions.

Jacket arrived very quickly & was everything I'd hoped for from a high end product.
Packed beautifully too in easy to recycle packaging.

Pretty poor customer service, there was a problem (quality wasn't what I expected) and the CS was even more disappointing. I would never order from them again!
