The bed arrived with marks, and I was advised that a replacement piece could be sent. However, by that point we had already made the bed up for our daughter’s birthday, and I really didn’t want to have to dismantle the entire bed again, so I said to leave it.

Unfortunately, the issue hasn’t ended there. The zip on one of the cushions has now completely stopped working, despite the bed only being purchased in July. When I contacted customer service, I was simply told to get it repaired myself.

I completely appreciate handmade craftsmanship and understand that quality, handmade furniture comes at a higher price — and I’m more than happy to pay that when the product and service reflect it. But when something is faulty so soon after purchase, I don’t think being told to arrange and pay for the repair myself is reasonable.

It’s a real shame, because the bed itself is lovely, but unfortunately the customer service hasn’t matched the product.

The most beautiful bed! Could not be happier and neither could my daughter! Customer experience was great, answered all my questions before I purchased the bed and then kept me up to date with delivery details. A gorgeous piece of furniture!

My initial experience was disappointing due to a lack of communication regarding the delivery. Unfortunately, because we weren't kept informed, we missed the delivery window.

As a result, the contractors and the furniture lift company had already left, and we had no choice but to carry the bed up five flights of stairs ourselves. It was a very stressful and physically demanding experience.

That said, the bed itself is beautiful and of excellent quality. We are very happy with the finished product, and my daughter absolutely loves it.

After posting my review, Jenna reached out to me personally. She listened to my concerns, apologized for the communication issues, and showed genuine care in trying to make things right. I truly appreciated her kindness and professionalism.

While I still believe the communication could have been much better, I also believe it's important to acknowledge when a business takes responsibility and makes an effort to resolve a situation. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future customers

We bought a Posie and Penn bed for our 2yo boy and honestly it is the most beautiful bed we own. So so easy to put together and he thinks it’s the coolest thing ever, especially when his cousin comes over for a sleepover and can sleep on the pull out bed. Thank you for creating something so special, there is nothing on the market quite like it!

Posie and Penn Beds are INCREDIBLE - firstly the purchase and delivery was flawless- the bed arrived and was incredibly easy to assemble. The bed itself is stunning and so well made- brilliant quality and very comfortable. All my children fight who gets to sleep in it. I just can’t tell you how much this bed has superseded all my expectations.

These beds are absolutely incredible - I got pink first and just received blue - I'm praying canopies come soon.

Disappointing lack of transparency and unprofessional communication

I am writing this to share my experience regarding the lack of transparency and the unprofessional manner in which Posie and Penn handles honest consumer feedback.
After I posted a public comment questioning their high price point (£1000+) for designs that have been common in the UK since the 80s and 90s (such as scalloped pelmets and trundle beds), the owner, Jenna, chose to delete my comment and block me rather than addressing the query publicly.
Surprisingly, after blocking me, she then sent me a series of private messages to defend her brand. In these messages, she used several manipulation tactics that I feel other potential customers should be aware of:
• Deflecting Accountability: Instead of explaining the value of the product, she immediately shifted to a narrative about being a "mother" and suggested that one mother should not criticize another in business. My status as a parent has nothing to do with my right as a consumer to question pricing and originality.
• Controlling the Narrative: By deleting comments and blocking voices that ask difficult questions, the brand creates a curated, one-sided public image that doesn't allow for honest consumer debate.
• Originality Claims: While the brand claims these designs are unique "creations," these styles (scalloped upholstery and trundles) are classic designs. Questioning why a customer should pay a significant premium for these "original" designs resulted in defensive behavior rather than professional evidence of quality.
I believe in supporting UK businesses, but true support comes from transparency and respect for the customer's voice. I found the private confrontation and the attempt to use "motherhood" as a shield against criticism to be highly unprofessional.
Advice to others: Please do your research on similar designs before committing to these prices, and be aware that if you have a concern, it may be silenced rather than solved.
