I have seen numerous reviews about Planthousecheshire & they have been pretty brutal. However my recent purchase of a dwarf rhododendron has been first class.
Great healthy plant, value for money, well packaged, delivered in a timely fashion & I was very happy with my plant. You can only carry out a review on what you find & based on my experience, I would certainly use this seller again! 😀👍🏼

Ordered 4 overpriced ferns, zero communication with seller, arrived very late in a box that was crushed and the plants were the saddest looking specimens I have ever seen, 3 are now dead and the 4th is dying. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! Go to your local nursery and get cheaper and far more superior plants! ABSOLUTE SCAMMERS WHO PROMISE YOU HEALTHY PLANTS AND SEND OUT DYING TINY LITTLE BITS OF RUBBISH!!!!! SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN FOR SCAMMING PEOPLE!!!!

What a joke of a company,
Sent out my order after chasing, it arrived almost dead,
Zero customer service, they look at messages and just ignore them.
No response and no telephone number to contact them
I reported them as fraudulent to my bank

I ordered a fern described as 'Large XXL 3ltr pot plant'; what arrived was a small 9cm plant on top of (not even planted in) a 3ltr plant pot of compost. I was charged £18 for a £5 plant and a bit of compost, not the item described and not what I was expecting.
This is a clear business model of selling small plants as Large plants and we all know mature plants cost more, so creates a tidy profit for the scammer at the expense of unwitting gardeners.
The return process requires printing a label, not a facility we have, so I'm lumbered with the small plant and the excessive expense.
Not the kind of person I want to give my custom to again.
You have been warned. Don't trust a word!

I bought a plant off ebay through them over 30 so wasnt cheap it has subsequently died i looked after it after I planted it and ive also the same plant different colour in the pot opposite and thats thriving .
I messaged the company no answer and I see the reviews if this company now i wish I hadn't gone with them they dont reply all i wanted was a replacement but no answer at all wont use again

Ordering plants online was straight forward and easy to do. Ordered on 22nd May and received a shipped notification on 8th June from Plant House Cheshire and 9th June from DHL ecommerce saying waiting for parcel. Kept checking but nothing on tracking. Sent message through website with no reply. So have had to go to credit card company to get money back so still waiting. Wouldn't use this company because it's a scam.

A total con - I bought off ebay. Two plants for 32 quid were supposed to be XXXL. Turns out the pots were compared to the 1-1/2 inch saplings they sent out and one of those was sick and weak. If they make it through June I'll be amazed.
Other complaints on ebay say the same about their charging for an XXXL product but sending out tiny little sprouts of plants. It's made worse by the fact that they show photos of large plants and, more dishonestly, a sketch of the plant size in that pot.
Personally, I feel Ebay should ban this company from trading with them because it is dishonest and the sort of company that gives online plant sellers a very bad name.
Really, please don't buy from them because they will take your money and leave you with next to nothing in return. Charlatans!

The worst experience I ever had after years of buying on eBay and many decades of buying plants online. Bought a chaenomeles in March. Arrived as basically at stick. No leaves on it, just a bare stick but I waited to see if it would produce leaves. Nothing. So I contacted them with photos to say it appeared to be dead and could they send a replacement. Contacted them politely 3 times over several days but no reply so I put in a refund request via eBay which was refused. These people should be avoided. They send out dead plants and are totally unwilling to communicate with customers. Dishonest uncaring people who are a disgrace to the generally good name of plant suppliers.

I wish I had read the eBay reviews before going ahead with my purchase. Apart from the long delay in despatch, there was a sinister outcome to the transaction. I ordered a Ceanothus Concha offered by Cheshireplants as an XXL specimen in a 3.5-litre pot. I certainly received a 3.5-litre pot, shiny black and spanking new! No label, so I must trust that I had actually got the variety I had chosen. When I went to plant the Ceanothus, the soil in the pot all fell away loosely, and what was left of the plant was evidently a 9cm specimen with very little root that had only taken up residence in the big pot within the last few days. When one buys a 3.5-litre plant, one expects a good root system, well established. A 9cm plant at £23.99 is extortionate, and one masquerading as a 3.5-litre ranks as dishonesty. Even if one generously subtracts, say, £5 for postage and packaging, the price is still extravagant. However, the real damage and grievance is the bare-faced cheating and lack of integrity of the seller.

Scam seller on ebay DONT USE ORDERED AND STILL NOTHING AND LOADS OF MESSAGES AND NO REPLY.
TOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND OUT OF POCKET TOTAL SCAM.

They took payment but the goods have not been delivered as prommissed iwould not trust them again not answer the calls or emails no more tjan theives please do not attept to buy from these rip off merchants

Ordered a 5ltr shuttlecock fern, and i has many delayed notices from DHL, tried many times to contact seller by whatsapp,phone voice messages, phone messages. And on site vontact message no reply at all from seller.
DHL delivered it 10 days after they collected from seller.Refused delivery as box was so small it was obvious that 5ltr fern ordered contacted bank tp instigate charge back to retrieve my money. Do Not buy from them.

FUMING - don’t buy from them. Contact is impossible and it looks like several other people are having the same problem atm. They have delivered to the incorrect address- I have tried leaving voicemails; text messages, instagram- no email address. I even tried changing the delivery day on DHL and that was ignored. I haven’t actually seen the plants yet - I’m told the box is damaged and shoots are coming through the box …. I will update when I see them. 😡😡😡
UPDATE - plants are just about retrieveable. Hopefully I will be able to nurse them back to health - certainly not the quality I was expecting … BUT definitely would not use them again

20-13392-61661 a Taro plant XXL (Colocasia esculenta) Corm like Gunnera. I think he sent me a potato from their rotting compost bin as it grew less than one inch and then died. Piece of junk, Contacted seller repeatedly for money back or an actual ready growing corm and they just ignored me, Bogus scam - stole my money. You have been made aware !

Bought 5 bags of Irish Peat at £21 each. The content, per bag, advertised at 100 litres. Got them delivered and the bags are not even 40 litres. Each bag weights a miserly 15Kg. I'm aware that volume hasn't got nothing to do with weight but this fails on both grounds.

Abysmal. Ordered Tumeric and ginger plants.Took nearly 2 weeks to arrived Communication non existent.Received package ,no Tumeric plant only Ginger.Wrapped in newspaper,no soil.It most certainly wasn't a plant! 5 pieces of Ginger which looked like they had been in a supermarket. Did not respond to any communication. Avoid.

AVOID!!! If only I had read the Trustpilot reviews before placing an order! Plant sent was not what I ordered and not what was pictured online. I already have this plant and wanted another as a pair. I phoned and left voicemail immediately, then sent an email with photos of both plants to the ebay (allegedly) address and to theirs, which we had to dig around to find, it was not given on their website. And neither of the ID and Order no. codes given are actually registering with ebay. They have ignored all my contacts and obviously don't give a toss. Should add that I am a knowledgeable and very experienced gardener. The worst company I have encountered in decades. Have awarded one star in order to get on to Trustpilot. They deserve none.

Same as everyone else. Bought 6 items on ebay, non existent tracking info given. Seller doesn't reply to messages on ebay, email or social media. Never received products. 100% Scam company. Ebay had to refund me.

Took 3 weeks to fulfill an order for a present which by the time I got comms that it had shipped, was far to late as a gift. Very poor service.

Update:

17 days from ordering until fulfilment.
The plants arrived the next day after receiving a DHL notification.
All plants were healthy, as described, as pictured on the website and very well packaged.

A potential five star company letdown by lack of communication and slow dispatch.

Abysmal.
No contact from seller.
No delivery details received.
No answer from WhatsApp messages.
No answer on phone line.
No returned call from messages left on answering machine.
Trust Pilot poor reviews.
Instagram not up to date.
Facebook abandoned.
