The Paintman paint was excellent and produced a wonderful finish. The product is highly recommended.

Service was very prompt, my paint order was packed very well, and the delivery relatively fast.
This is the first time I have used coach paint, as I used to use the Sikkens brand to do my mirror finish work.
Unfortunately Dulux bought them out and now only supply sikkens in white.
I have been a decorator for over fifty years, ten of those in the Nederlands where I learnt how to apply enamel paints on wood, as an apprentice I was taught how to mirror finish, but as it is an expensive way to apply and prep, the UK, does not use this type of finish a lot.
I found that Paintman paints to be not far off the mark compared to my Sikkens, but found that I had to speed up quite quickly in order to keep a wet edge.
As I live on a junction the traffic is mad, and the fumes and soot is a problem degrading the paint quickly, I decided to finish off with the polyurethane varnish, but still couldn’t get my wet edge going, until I gave in and bought the paintman paint retarder.
Now I am getting the correct result, no tram lines, just a great mirror finish.
Whenever I do this type of work I am always getting asked by passers by if I can do mirror finish work for them, unfortunately at 73 my mind is like a thirty years old, but my body is full of arthritis and other health problems so I am restricted as to what I can do.
I have some other projects I would like to try with the coach paint.
I was pleasantly surprised with the fine surface filler (oil), a lot better than the Sikkens helping to achieve the mirror finish.!
I can recommend this paint from the Paintman brand, but if you are a diy person I would strongly advise you to practice first, and prep is paramount to achieving a great finish.

I am writing a "how to" article for a car club and wanted to feature brush and spray painting of coach paint. Having seen this product before I wanted to try it for the review. Faye in sales was very helpful in getting the right colour match and passing on their guides and the order was despatched very quickly. There was then a huge problem with the courier who repeatedly said I had rescheduled the delivery so the next day delivery took 7 days! Faye took the couriers to task over this and finally got to the truth, an apology from them and refunded me the delivery cost. Fantastic service and the product hasn't disappointed either!

Really great company with brilliant products. I’ve had their coach enamel before but I just bought some more etch primer. I applied it with a roller which worked well but I had to work fast as it dries quickly. I really need to learn to spray!

Customer services are excellent, answering emailed questions very promptly.

Now I need to get some more coach enamel.

After a helpful discussion, I receiver an almost perfect match for my Landrover Defender. I wasn't expecting a 'mint' job but am pleasantly surprised with the result. The coach enamel brushed on well and has excellent cover as you say.

I've used Paintman Paint for a long-term project that demands historical accuracy when comes to an authentic colour match (WW2 khaki no3 satin), and Paintman always delivers a consistently top-quality product, combined with super customer service, every time.

Delivery time from agreeing order turned out be at least a week. Too long.

Placed an online order on the morning of 28/03/2025. The order was ready for collection at 14:30 the same day. Cannot fault their attitude & professionalism at all. Great company to do business with.👍👍👍
