We agree with other reviews: This company is a scam

We placed order online which shows in stock and still show the same quantity in stock as today. We called them because we did not receive invoice, and were told that delivery time is Jan 2026. Fortunately there are other reputable companies, their competitors.

returning a oil radiator, paid 32.95 shipping. returning it costs 45$ and 50 % restocking fee. they cannot pdf me a shipping label so said? website says 15 %. restocking fee. gave it to my cc company to review

Very Poor Customer Service

As many other reviewers stated, this company has the worst customer service. They waited nearly a monlth to inform us that a long-lead-time item we had ordered "now" has a minimum order quantity (MOQ) that wasn't in place at the time of our order. No alternatives were offered other than to increase our order quantity or cancel the order. I can't believe a company with such a poor rating would just continue operating in such a manner. An ethical and well-run organization would have just ordered the MOQ from their supplier and kept the balance on hand at their site for future customers (including us). To top it off, their customer service rep was condescending and glib in her replies.

The true measure of a company is how they behave when something is not right.

Online components.com failed.

Our company ordered 200 pressure sensors from onlinecomponents.com in cut tape format. When the order was received there was not one piece of cut tape, but five pieces! This is not fit for purpose on our pick and place machine and when we advised the supplier, they simply said if you return them there will be a 15% restocking fee!

We will not order from them in the future. Digi-Key have proven themselves to be a reliable and they will have our business.

Raised price on order 10-weeks after accepting it

Placed an large order and 10 weeks later they came back to tell us that the material had not been ordered and the price had been increased 50%.
They apologized for the inconvenience! DON'T but anything from them that has a long lead time as they can't trusted to honor the ordered price.

They are absolutely OK

The company is OK, they only take an astonishing lot of time to close the order and send the goods. It takes time to check the payment, it takes time to check the end-user statement ...Everything could be faster, in my opinion, the end-user statement is useless

Bad service - do not trust them

Bad service, order in delay of months, customer service not giving service. I prepaid an order 5 months ago and after 4 months of delay, I'm still waiting to know the delivery date.

This company is a scam

This company is a scam. I ordered 5 digital counters from them. They sent 1 and months later said they could no longer receive the product and cancelled my order. When I asked about returning the 1 they shipped me because I couldn’t use 1 without the other 4 they said it has been too long since placing the order to accept returns.

Very bad customer service and non responsible for their errors in orders.they want you pay 15% for returning beck their wrong items.maybe that's the reason why they do mistakes

Terrible customer services

Customer service was terrible. bought 650 switches. only sent me 560. Instead of resending me the missing switches they refunded me. meaning I then had to re-purchase the 90 switches and pay another UPS shipping fee of £50. the customer service rep was also awful. No communication. just automated responses.

AFTER WAITING FOR A YEAR, NOW THE ORDER IS CANCELED

Delay, delay, delay...

We are waiting our order for a year, and now the order is canceled!!!! And It's NCNR so they dont send back the money. They suggest to place a new order...

currently they do not have the proper export license

I'm not a new client at the company, but this time, everything goes wrong.
After checking the stock by email on OnlineComponents, receiving a proforma and placing an order of 500 Raspberrys, paying comissions to banks at bad exchange rates, writing the EUS. The company tell us "Our logistics team has confirmed we are unable to ship this order to Spain at this time. We currently do not have the proper export license".
It did not seem serious to me.

The explanation we got on the phone was: "A Warning appeared in the warehouse that it was not possible to export out of the USA, but the system did not warn about it during the RFQ and the PROFORMA but until AFTER PAYMENT and the sales people did not know about it until the whole payment process was completed".
thousands of thousands of dollars lost in a big mistake. Big business ...

Onlinecomponents shipped us the wrong parts

Onlinecomponents shipped us the wrong product back in October 2022. We missed this fact during incoming inspection. When we discovered it, we were beyond their 60-day return window by about a month and one half. They refused an exchange for the correct product, even though we were a known, regular customer.
After we complained, they offered to check their stock to see if there was a discrepancy. They came back and said their stock was correct, so basically insinuated that we were lying.
We responded that we would not do business with them again and they blocked our ability to send messages. We found this out when we discovered some additional evidence to try help resolve this constructively.

So I ordered a part back in September…

So I ordered a part back in September (its Jan now) and the part never arrived, it was dropped off at a CVS UPS hub and was never informed. Looked into it and got a hold of customer service and they said that they received the part back since it sat in the CVS to long. They never resent it out to us, never notified me, did nothing. Now they said to order another one since it is in stock. ORDER ANOTHER ONE???? I never received the first one. lol. Found it cheaper by 25% at another company and just ordered it from there with no hassle. Now we will see how I can get the original $83.92 back from them since they have my part in their stock. That is less the shipping cost which I know they will not refund. I recommend not to order from them.

BE CAREFUL! Order cancelled by Onlinecomponents but no refund for over 6 weeks!

Its about order 1620854, I ask everyone that can help to intervene and solve the problem! The order is was cancelled from the onlinecomponents side AFTER ISSUING ORDER CONFIRMATION AND RECEIVING UPFRONT PAYMENT. Since Oct 27th 2021 I am trying to get refund which was promised "within 2-3 weeks", but nothing! Support always replies that "we should get confirmation from accounting soon", days and weeks pass and nothing arrives except empty promises! How is that possible, is the company legit at all or they just collect customers money???

Ordered online went very smooth. After placing the order I discovered I ordered the wrong current value.
Tried emailing, tried their chat. No one there. Tried calling 6 times so far and get no answer. Looks like this
will get ugly!

Very Bad Experience

Very Bad Experience I have with this company, very surprised that it still exist on the market. I bought almost 3 weeks ago MCP23017 (the only one important part for me) and on top few switches optionally, in order to reach minimum order amount. They use to delay all of this time, and after I asked to cancel the order, they shipped me not required parts, except most required ones. Stay away from them, their support is always try to lie, and I was really frustrated by the way of how they do the business. Never buy from Onlinecomponents, it is a risk.

Be very careful, Never buy from them

Never buy from them, it is a fraud company, strange to deal with such kind of guys based on USA. I've ordered Microchip and decided to add some minor parts. After I paid they were delayed the order for few a weeks, then when I asked to cancel the order, they shipped me not require components, and cancelled the required ones.
