Missing Items, Defective Products, and Zero Help from Customer Service
I’ve been a loyal customer of The Outnet for years and have always appreciated the quality of their products and the convenience of their platform. Unfortunately, over the past year, my experience has drastically declined.
Almost every order I’ve placed in the last year has included at least one item that arrived used, defective, or incomplete. Most recently, I ordered a Dolce & Gabbana blazer that was supposed to come with a matching vest—but the vest was missing from the package.
What made the situation even worse was the response from customer service. The replies were generic, unhelpful, and completely ineffective. There was no real effort to resolve the issue—just a series of automated emails that dragged the process out without offering any actual solution.
It’s incredibly disappointing to see this level of decline in both product quality control and customer care. I expected much better from a company I’ve trusted and supported for so long. I hope The Outnet takes feedback like this seriously and makes real improvements to both their fulfillment process and how they handle customer issues.
Extremely bad experience
I ordered from Out net for the first time about one month ago. I received the two dresses and was a bit disappointed because, although they had the Out net tags on, they seemed worn in that one had pulled threads and the other had an attached belt ripped. I despised to return the items. I was surprised that the duty and taxes were not returned. I ended up losing approx $250 Canadian dollars. Foolishly, I gave the company another chance during their up to 80% off sale. The deals were good. I ordered three dresses. One came with serious deodorant marks all over the dress and the second had bugs inside the garment bag. I thought it was fluff and picked one up while it smeared blood in the bag. I shook the bag out outside and immediately re-packed, and resealed the dresses to return them. After immediately contacting the company to discuss a return, I’m going through hoops to get it. That one is over $1400 Canadian. Personally, I would NOT RECOMMEND the Outnet. I won’t be risking another purchase.

UNAUTHENTIC item
They sent me a FAKE item. I have sent several emails and they have not responded. It is the worst online shopping experience I have ever had. I find it incredible that a luxury goods sales platform from the NET-A-PORTER group sends a FAKE item.
I expect an urgent solution and repair of the damage.
Worst Customer Service
I have placed 16 orders with this company and they ship right away. The return process is great and they even offer exchange.
But the customer service is the WORST. In the year that I have shopped I have called customer service 4 times and 3 of those times they were useless and a waste of time. I am not asking for extreme requests. But they have literally been a waste of time.
So if you shop here the product is what it is. But don't expect any human contact.

I almost always have great experience. I don't understand why people complain that much. It's easy to track your order. They always deliver in a reasonable time. Most designer items are outlet . You are lucky to still find them here on the outnet for a good price. Customer service is always friendly. Propper English speaking. Most of my fancy clothes come from the Outnet. I enjoy buying here thank you very much.

scam
I requested a return for an item I ordered. I followed the instructions perfectly repackaging the shoes in their box and attaching both the return label and receipts requested. I got an email a few days later saying that 1/3 receipt was missing. For this reason, outnet is shipping the item back to me and I’ll have to re-arrange the delivery. As I included all of the receipts in the same plastic envelope taped on the box securely this is very unlikely. A colleague of mine had the same experience. I started thinking that this is a trick they use for every return to decrease the likelihood that customers will go through with it. I highly discourage you from using this e-commerce.

They sold me a fake Balmain T-shirt. T-shirt was looking old after one wash, so I decided to take it to Balmain and they assured the T-shirt was a knock off.

Ordered an item with huge discount and one day delivery. Delivered as promised in perfect condition, nicely packed.
I read all the negative reviews but now feel if you know your size and don’t need to return you have nothing to worry about.

No idea if i’m ever getting my purchase
So far my experience has been terrible. I made a big purchase for an upcoming trip and paid extra for it to be delivered the next day. On day 2 I reached out to customer service and they basically said i’ll get it when i get it. I asked for more info (exact date, refund on next day delivery) and still haven’t received a response. We are now on day 6, I’ve already left for my trip and am just hoping I get at least half of the items i paid for.
Update: Finally got most of my stuff (12/14 items) delivered a couple weeks later than expected. At this point i’m just thankful I got most of it. I’ll still talk to customer service about it but don’t have much hope. The quality of the items was good at least (although late and incomplete)
Never again
Never again. Awful. Dodgy. Item delivered to the wrong address. They never contacted me about the issue. Luckily, I manage to contact delivery driver and find my package. It was opened. Item didn't fit, but I couldn't try to return, because I knew that I will never see my money, even if they get my returned item.( My daughter can use the dress). Too messy shopping with them. Stick to the classy online shopping website, like Farfetch.

Awful customer service. Next day delivery did not arrive on promised date. Could not return items after subsequently moving from delivery address. Customer service since has been full of failed promises, no refund still. Will never use company again.
Fraud!
Tho the website stated they are a register dealer of designer products, and tho they maybe, they do not ship new/unused products in the original packaging.
If u buy designer u know the branding is soooo important to maintain the value. I bought a pair of Choo boots from The Outnet at a great price. They came to me used/return by someone else and thrown in a plain white box with a single piece of tissue. No tags, no dust bag, no packaging, no box and the shoes where black and scuffed across the soles like they’d been worn all night.
The company is in the UK. Literally my husband is a US/FL attorney whose practice is white collar crime and fraud and WE had a tough time getting this righted. Ultimately The Outnet either hung up on us or told us a manager would call us back but the never did. One lady from OUtnet customer service laughed at me and said “over a box?”when I told her my husband/attorney would called her. If u or ur significant other are not attorneys, I would stay sooo far away from order anything from The Outnet or if u just don’t want the absolutely horrendous service and to deal with a bootleg company.
Now we have to go through filing a fraud claim with the credit card company. I will NEVER ORDER FROM THE OUTNET AGAIN. Beware, it’s a complete fraud.
They charged you tax and duty for items not shipped
I recently bought something from theoutnet.com.(order 1405ZYQ6E2201H) They cancelled one of the items in my order for unknown reason. The official reason they provided was that the item was out of stock. (Then why was I able to place the order in the first place?) When they processed the refund, only the product price was refunded. The tax and duties related to that item charged by them at checkout was not refunded.
I emailed them and did the math for them, and asking them how could they took a customer's money for goods or service they did not provide? But they insisted that the tax and duties were correct and totally ignored my questions. I am a VIP customer (the service was ok a few years ago.) and they did this to me. After this incident I went back to check my purchase history, and found that for at least 3 other orders the same thing happened. Buyer be very aware.
I wonder where in their books they put these "other income" that they robbed from customers. Extremely poor internal process. Maybe one day when I have the time I will find out who their auditors are and see what the auditors have to say about it.
