Bought a pet insurance policy online but wasn't sent a confirmation email or any policy documents, which left me wondering if I was actually insured or had been scammed.

Update... Renewal Price Confirmed as accurate. Offered £1k cover with excess of £100 & 20% excess for age. Just over £600 so basically £600 to not be insured.
Cancelled and Moved to another company. Absolutely disgusted that More Than believe this is rational. Apparently due to their sensitive business model they cannot divulge exactly how they arrived at the increase.

Just got my renewal for my 12 year old neutered female. No ongoing health issues.
Last year £575.28
Renewal £1118.04
That is practically double.
We accept she is getting older but when we took this policy we were told increases were not based on claims with lifetime policies.
That the 20% excess is applied for her age.
Shock at the increase is an understatement. "We are excited to offer you a renewal" I bet you are!!! What plant are you on that a stupid statement like that is included in a renewal notice doubling the price?
We have decided that this is really unacceptable and will not be held to ransom.
All other quotes for the same cover are under £400 with the excess increased from £100 to £125.
Sucker you in then give silly premium price increases. As a pensioner we don't pluck money out of thin air we live on a budget.

They raised our pet insurance premiums because she had been neutered. All my research indicates that the cost would typically be lower for a neutered pet

Neutered females have fewer health problems

They cannot get pregnant and pregnancy has it's own health risks

Neutering itself has health risks

But they raised the premiums by about 10% simply because she had been neutered

When I phoned to enquire about my insurance the Phone was answered within 3 minutes. Which is excellent in this day and age. The woman I dealt with was very professional, shme I can't remember here name.

Easy to understand and set up my dogs pet insurance

I was informed during a call that I would recieve £878 for an ear infection my dog had. The money was to be paid in to my bank account.. however I received a letter stating that the claim was rejected and only £71 was paid, but this was for an ailment my dog didn't have, and treatment he didn't recieve.

I'm now having to have my claim re-examined.

I've now cancelled my policy (which was difficult to do). I've been paying £800 every year, yet this was my first ever claim. This has been the worst experience, simply trying to to recoup money spent on treatment for my dog, insured by this company that states everything would be paid only then to be informed it wouldn't be... but with no reasons as to why. Then being paid for something my dog didn't get treatment for.

Absolutely outrageous... definitely wouldn't recommend this company.

As i have just purchased i couldnt give a full review. But from a first time person purchasing puppy insurance. I am very happy as it has everyrhing i need to cover my daughters puppy.

Still waiting for a response on my claim promised over 3 months now! Only ask for Hiw we Did mails !!
