Definitely stay away. They do their best to stall people during delivery and not give you the deposit. (Kesinlikle uzak durun. Teslimat sırasında insanları oyalamak ve kaporayı vermemek için ellerinden geleni yapıyorlar.)

Very negative experience with the "Drivercar Montenegro" company. The company's website states a free cancellation option up to 24 hours before the pick-up. In fact, when I was forced to cancel the order and notified the company more than a week in advance (!) and asked for a refund, I received a short answer: non-refundable. From that point, they barely answer emails. attempts to get money back have not yet yielded any results.

Réservé une Mazda CX-3 ou équivalent, mais véhicule indisponible à cause d’un accident. Au début, aucune solution proposée, on nous a dit de nous débrouiller seuls car soit disant plus aucun véhicule n’était disponible ! Puis, on nous a suggéré un véhicule chez un autre loueur, mais en ajoutant 225 €, alors que nous n’étions même pas responsables de la situation, et je devais presque les remercier d’avoir trouvé cette solution. Après avoir refusé, 40 min d’attente au comptoir, avec un enfant de 2 ans, on m’a trouvé une solution en me donnant un vieux véhicule (127 000 km), sale, abîmé, avec un moteur bruyant, insupportable et anormal. La clim ne fonctionne que quand la voiture roule, donc inutile dans les bouchons sous 40 °C. Nous avons dû nous même faire changer les pneus qui étaient lisses et qui ont failli nous causer plusieurs accidents !
Quelques jours plus tard, j’ai contacté la personne, qui m’a fait croire qu’une solution serait trouvée, mais après plusieurs relances, plus aucune réponse.
Aucun geste commercial n’a été fait.
Une honte.

Don’t ever rent from them. They are så rude. Rented a car from home, on their site. Paid full insurance, got a voucher from them saying that everything is paid for and that I should not pay any more. But at the counter i Montenegro the lady said that the voucher was incorrect and that I had to pay again. I argued with her, and she said I could pay or not get the car. I paid again and she showed me a car that was damaged and had a flat tired, she said that it was fine, or I could just get it fixed at at repair place. I demanded another car, but had to wait 3 hours to get a new car. In the meantime she was all over the place, trying to sell others a car. I asked way couldn’t I just get one of those cars instead of waiting, but se was just rude again. I waited 3 hours and got a car, that was a bit damaged, brakes that vas weak, but I didn’t wanted to wait anymore and just took the car.
Never rent from them.

Avoid it like the plague.. we bought an insurance and was told it was covering scratches and small things. When we hand over the car again we proof with pictures that the scratches were already there but we were told they were new and the insurance didn’t cover only if we filed a police report. So if you want to rent a car it can easily become very very expensive as they try to take all your money.

Actually I did not expect anything good from this company. Do not pay anything in advance as it might give you hard times afterwards. We got declined because of our Visa debit card. Not written anywhere. The woman at the counter was rude and uncooperative. They are ignoring emails, keeping money for cars you never got. It took a while to get the money back.

I visited Montenegro on 21st of July and had booked the car for 5 days and made full payment online a month ago.But upon arrival,there was no staff and had to wait fo rmore than half an hour.Even after they came in , they were very rude, unresponsive.They also refused to give me the car because I did not have the credit card.But I had completely read the terms and conditions mentioning that they will accept cash as security incase we dont have credit card. I showed them the terms where they had mentioned they would accept the cash, they still denied. As they got to know I dont understand their language, they started talking bad and laughing too. I , being a foreigner in that country and knowing english, am trying to request for the car as my whole iterenary would ruin if no, he understood the weakness and demanded twice the deposit amount - in cash , which is non refundable apart from rent and usual deposit money. He even denied to give me the receipt for it.It was a scam.I rejected the offer and requested for them to pay back the payment which was denied again . That representative was too rude and passes joked and tore my form, copy of my Driving Licence infront of me and threw it in the dustbin.He also left the space without answering my questions and being very unprofessional and inhuman behaviour. I later met few people who shared similar experience.I then raised a complaint and wrote a mail briefing the encounter I had with the representative and scam ,which i did not receive reply yet. Its been more than a week.

This company is FAKE , do not respect people and a big SCAM.

Never trust this company.I prebooked a car through car rentals and upon arrival they refused to provide the car.no cancellation notification and no refund provided .Very rude male staff with bad attitude..Never trust them you will spoil your vacation.

After arriving in Podgorica I went to the car rental booth without reservation. Quickly I rented a car for two days. Good car with no issues. The staff were very polite. I got my deposit back in about a week.
All in all no complaints, and I can recommend them.

I rented their car for my holiday durin this July, the reception staff (That man and lady) were very rude and crafty, forced me to buy their insurance for 30 euro/day even though I told them I have purchased the full insurance somewhere else. Also, the car's brake was broken during the renting which completely ruined my holiday. Do not trust this company at all.

Extremely accommodating people! We booked a Viano Van for 4 days and had a few last minutes changes. They always replied immediately and everything was "no problem"! My experience was great, the van was brand new and drove amazing, I highly recommend!

We returned the car in good condition and were told that we’d get our deposit back. They have not returned it and have ignored my messages asking for it back. I will happily change this review if we get it back, but right now they appear to have stolen 500 euros from us.

I'd avoid the company if you can. The only reason we went with them was because it was the only company we could find that would allow pick up and drop off at different locations in Montenegro. The staff in the airport (Tivat) was very rude and unhelpful. We had trouble finding the office at the airport and while we were looking for it we came across another tourist at a different car rental who said he had just lost his money to montenegrocar.me.
His flight was delayed and when he arrived they told him they had given his car away to someone else already.

The airport staff were trying very hard to get us to buy the extra insurance, it felt almost comical at times.

When dropping off the car (Ulcinj), they were much more helpful, so that's one positive. Deposit was given back in full at the end but we were on edge the whole time driving (especially with the quality of the other drivers in the country).

What an abysmal company. I paid £350 for 6 days car rental a month before the day of car hire rental. A few days before I was due to rent the car I couldn't contact them. I tried numerous WhatsApp numbers but still no success. Eventually a Montenegro car agent arranged to meet me at Kotor old town at a petrol garage. The lady was 2 hours late and insisted that I have a Visa or MasterCard credit card as detailed in the small print contract. I had paid for the car hire a month earlier via a Visa debit card. I explained to the lady that I had an American express credit card but upon hearing this the agent (Milena) completely changed her attitude. She pulled the car over near Tivat airport terminal and demanded I paid her an extra 180 euros on top of the £350 car hire I'd already paid a month earlier. She wanted to extort the extra money from me without visiting the Montenegro car office or even issuing me any paperwork. She abandoned me and my wife with our luggage still in her car and disappeared inside Tivat airport terminal Suspiciously she told me to speak to her manager who was wearing for some reason an easyJet t shirt. He then said I couldn't rent the car. I was left at Tivat airport £350 out of pocket and no alternative but to either hire another car with another agency or get an expensive taxi back in to Kotor. This company is corrupt. Their agent tried to extort 180 euros from me in the back of a car. DO NOT RENT A CAR WITH THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!!

If you want to have a car in Montenegro DO NOT use Montenegro Car. we ordered an automatic van seating 7 pepople, and when we came to the counter they notified us they don't have this or any other car for us. No notice, no efforts to offer any alternative, and no efforts to secure a car from another agency. we were left high and dry and had to start searching for cars in the airport.

We nemen een extra verzekering om geen kosten te hebben bij een ongeval, zeggen ze: 'it's not my company' en moet je zelf maar zorgen dat je wordt terugbetaald. Bovendien praten ze liever met de man dan met de vrouw. Letterlijk gezegd: 'Let me talk to your man'.

I rented car last week, people working at airport desk were very helpful, car was clean and new, my flight was slightly late, i notified them by email and they arranged everything without problems. I recommend this rent a car to everyone coming to Montenegro.

Straight forward and good value car rental. I did keep them posted about the continuous changes to our flight (thanks Ryanair) as per the instructions emailed and they were very accommodating to this. Eventually the flight was delayed massively and we arrived in middle of the night. No problems collecting the car but we did have to pay the out of hours fee. The car itself was fine and no clever tricks or surprises when handing the car back. Can't really ask for any more - thanks very much!

Do not use this company! Avoid it at any cost! You can book car online and pay 50% of amount, but if you arrive a bit later (even if you provide your flight number and will checkin online) - you will not get a car and no refunds are made. They are acting rude and do not care about their customers. Their rules and terms does not cover such situations so they are just acting as scammers by taking your money for the car and not giving you a car that you paid for. Just go to any other proper European company for car rental.

We had had a bad experience before with a car rental company trying to fleece us. so had to ditch that booking and find an alternative. Thank goodness we found George and this company. He was kind, patient, polite, honest and straightforward to deal with. Car was in great shape. He didn’t ask for a deposit, and return was super smooth even though we were early and the car was a bit dirty. Highly recommend to anyone. Especially as many of the other rental outfits seem really dodgy in Tivat (even some of the big name ones).
