Where to start. Worked for them for 8 months as a cleaner. In that time my supervisor thought it would be a good idea to plant tissue and other debris on the floor to see if I was cleaning my designated area properly. They even had the effrontery to admit it to me. Of course when I complained to my line manager about this they denied it and said I misunderstood the situation.

Another time there was a mixup with my supervisor and team leader about who said what. I questioned them both over this and was verbally insulted, had my integrity questioned and was assaulted by my team leader with pushes to the shoulder. Of course when I complained to my line manager about this they said that my team leader was restraining me.

I was told by one of my colleagues to keep his name out of my mouth as I had previously questioned why they were allowed to start when they liked and leave when they liked.

There was another instance where one of colleagues who I will refer to as chad due to every female liking him for some reason (and I cannot understand why) made snide remarks about me under his breath. Unbeknown to chad, I heard this and was told that chad mumbles to himself all the time when I mentioned it to my team leader.

Another team leader who was some old battle axe from Beanhill, who was nicknamed stupid by one of my colleagues and would only exchange pleasantries when she felt like it, reported me for loitering due to myself being told to train another member of staff on a particular piece of equipment. I was berated by my supervisor and explained I was in fact waiting to show them and that they were undertaking other duties at the time.

There was another incident where my supervisor was carrying many 2 litre containers of milk and dropped and spilt it all over the floor. Guess who had to clean it up?

The supervisor would have social gatherings in the workplace, whereby her friends would visit. Also, some of my colleagues would go off site and do their weekly shopping and even ask me to guard it for them as I cleaned the seating areas where they stored it.

They used crappy nilfisk equipment that was not fit for purpose and at Christmas we received a school exercise book as a Christmas gift.

This all happened at the Quadrant Network Rail building in Milton Keynes.

I was offered a job from them and told a start date so I gave my other job notice and the day before starting they told me they don’t have the contract for it sorry and didn’t offer me any other work so now I am out of a job

Mitie care and custody are corrupt. Apply for the job and be treated with incredible disrespect. Senior managers do nothing to support and the poor individuals they are to be supported by this company in their custody suffer the most. Home office are even more corrupt working along side corrupt senior management that do nothing to ease the pain of the "residents". Stay away guys. Look at the turn over of staff. A joke of a company.

Avoid mitie care and custody. The detention role is not worth applying for. Like another person has said bullying is rife the managers don't listen as they have members of staff who get family members in they don't listen to complaints from you even senior managers ignoring you a certain person making scandalous allegations about you to managers and that person still there Avoid care and custody

Leeds train station surroundings one of the restaurant, the lost passengers asks the Mitie security guard standing on front of the restaurant where is the bus station for A1 Flyer Bus to Leeds airport, and the security guard says, I don’t know, it’s somewhere around near here. Thanks for being informed and helpful.

incompetence and bullying from the managers, unsafe working conditions. Scum of the earth avoid at all costs

Worked for MITIE for nearly 4 years as a security guard. Honestly the worst company I have worked for. Management are absolutely awful especially line managers. Incorrect wadges often then you have to wait for the next pay cycle to get it 😱 but the managers are just awful. They don't give a toss about you and your wadges. If I could I would give no star. And to rub salt in my wound they email me months after leaving saying I owe them money 🤔 they actually owe me!

Because of Mitie (service to help handicapped people) we lost connecting flight from Madrid to Zurich. We were Waiting 20 minutes in the Airplane, waiting for the connecting flight, this flight we lost. It was told to me I shall book another flight, to not loose this other flight, I shall book and they will pay it later. Now nobody takes my calls or answers my Emails.

In the meantime, I have received a response from Mitie to my email on 01.04.2025, they want to check my reclaim.

This company need investigating!

Do not work for this company! My boyfriend worked for them this year. He was told he would we partnered up with someone for the first 6 months to gain experience and an idea of how the company runs so he would be able to do everything himself after the 6 month probation period. He didn’t even get partnered up with anyone on his first day, and just got chucked in the deep end with no info or anything given to him to help. The van he got given was barely legal to drive and in a disgusting state! And he got told that the van was meant to get cleaned for him for his start date (they had over a month to sort this out) but they didn’t even bother sorting it out. If you are considering working for them as a muti-trade operative, I wouldn’t as they expect you to buy thousands of pounds worth of cordless tools (but they were asked if the ones he had were alright to use and they said it was fine) so they completely misled him. But the stupid part about it is they can buy them for you, you would have to pay it off but if you was to leave the company for whatever reason, you will not get these tools back they will keep them.
He had an appointment for a condition that he gave the correct notice for including the time off for a procedure, the manager then took it upon himself to discuss private and confidential information to do with this procedure with other staff members, which was non of their business and highly unprofessional!
They then decided to send him an email for a meeting to discuss whether they where going to sack him just because he needed time off but instead of being professional they made a shitty excuse questioning that he can’t do his job?!
He also got told that his van had to go in for repairs but he had to sort it all out himself, you would think that the company would sort this. After he had sorted it out he had been told the van needed scrapping, but then hadn’t sorted him out a replacement and they expected him to use his own car/fuel not to mention he told them his insurance didn’t cover using it for work. They then tried to pressure him into using it knowing that it is very illegal!
He was also verbally abused by managers who are old enough to know better. And by the same specific manager was told to clean the car before it goes to the scrap yard! The manager knew there was absolutely no point in him doing this but he made him do this because he’s a bully.
And the managers knew they were going to sack him for no reason just because they felt like it so treated him like shit for days and days, which is a lot on your mental health and needs investigating.
Not to mention he never got any proper pay slips just bank transfers and never got a PV5 after he wrote his resignation letter. This company is dodgy, full of 40+ year old men who are bully’s, don’t treat staff properly and not to mention all the illegal shit going on in one background of this company.
I have read loads of similar reviews on this company even other bases. Just incase anyone was wondering this base I’m writing about it Bristol (Little Stoke).
This company need investigating, and proper management.

This company has hired me as a HR systems and data analyst and just within 1.5 months this company decided to restructure and thrown me out. I have joined them ignoring my other offers and now i am realising what a big mistake i did to join this shit company, I am now unemployed because of them. Shame to this organisation and to the people who play with the new hires dreams and career. Incapable and insecure managers are a big shame.

Had an issue with one of their vans parking on our estste annoying neighbours. Emailed CEO Mr Bentley and their Business Support Manager Ms Aston who stated van would no longer be parked here going forwards .... same afternoon van parks up again - long story short can't trust this bunch even at senior level they are untrustworthy and unprofessional at best.

I had an interview scheduled with Mitie, but they missed the appointment without any communication or explanation. I was disappointed with the lack of professionalism, as I had prepared for the interview and took time off to attend. This experience has left me feeling disrespected, and I hope they improve their communication in the future.

I have just seen a Mitie employee at East Midlands airport gathering rubbish bags from the bins: 1. Both general waste and recycling waste were loaded in the same green bags, so how can they be separated later? 2. He literally took out the recycling bag and the general waste bag from the bins and then shoved the recycling bag into the general rubbish bag, tied a knot and threw it onto the heap on his cart. Mitie pretend to be recycling, pathetic.
I don’t know what is worse the actual lack of recycling or the corporate hypocrisy.

Unresponsive to concerns. Unresponsive when things go wrong, of which under Mitie they often do. They don't look after their staff who are overworked and asked to do the jobs of 2 or 3 people. I would definitely think twice before taking on Mitie to look after your cleaning needs.

Applied for the care and custody role and they didn't approved me. At the same time I am already working as security and approved for a prison officer role. Your managers are clowns. At the interview they asked all profile questions and they gave me the Idea that everything is okay. They also asked me when I am available to start training, negotiating dates and locations. What a joke ! If I had checked the reviews before applying I wouldn't bother.

Out of hours manager Habibah ? AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. Refused to help because she couldn’t understand my accent - attitude was absolutely disgusting for a manager. No clear info or resolution to our issue here at paddy power. Poor reflection of mitie. In shock at how you have a manager like that in such an established company !

I had the most awful experience with a member of Mitie security staff at Southampton Docks. He had to check my documents before I boarded for my cruise and he said "Thank you sir!" I corrected him and said "madam" to which he aggressively responded "Thank you SIR!" So rude. I am a woman of colour too and he gave me racist vibes.

Wish I could give less than one star! The Mitie workers have left rubbish, damaged property and left paint on windows. One day I thought the ladder was coming through my window. How stupid does a person have to be to place a ladder against the glass in a window and then use the ladder with all their weight against glass? Morons being employed by imbeciles, in my opinion. You just have to read the Wikipedia page for them to see how subpar the standards are for this company.
