Both young assistants working the shop today were helpful, polite and friendly. Rowan helped us choose the walking boots we wanted, while his female colleague on the till was equally efficient and polite. It was a pleasure to shop there.

Great service & a good price in the sale!

Sadly, first time I have ever had bad customer service at Millets and it will be the last. I went in to buy some new boots to replace my other Peter Storms where the sole had malfunctioned. I was happy to buy a new pair and actually ended up getting 3 at a significant cost. I had a couple of bags and one box fitted in but the other wasn't big enough, so the guy asked if I wanted a bag (to hold the other 2 boxes) free of charge. On hearing this the female assistant called across the shop floor stating that they were for charity and couldn't be given away free so the offer was revoked. I then had 3 big boxes and a long walk to the car so naturally the additional bag would've helped. I left the store with boxes blocking my view and sliding around, together with my receipt with qr code for feedback on "how did we do today?". As I struggled back to the car I had time to reflect on how I had just been treated. I have now decided to return all the items and will be taking my custom elsewhere. I have no idea how much a bag was but the whole experience has left me feeling not valued as a customer. Walking is an absolute joy and boots cannot have bad memories attached to them and it will be remembered everytime they are put on. I have had many happy decades of wearing Peter Storm boots and shoes and do thank them for those but now I'm off to pastures new...

Went in to look for Blister posters….came out with a pair of very smart Wellies …plus the plasters ! Excellent service …very helpful but no “hard sell “…i was able to take my time to check the fit. Friendly assistant…proper customer service ….

Just went in for a mooch about. They had clearance sale on. Ellie was behind the counter and very helpful. Left with 2 pairs of shoes and sunglasses. Very happy with the outcome

As Time goes by,
Life does somehow rearrange.
We cannot hold on very tight,
And never face a change.
So where Millets now stands,
There soon will be,
A Go Outdoors express,
For us to see.
Today we bought new wellies,
In the sale they cost 30% less.
Will Ellie and Damon still be there to help,
This is the ultimate test.
For they are irreplaceable in my mind,
Always thoughtful, skilled, understanding and kind.
To guide us in obtaining our footwear for outside,
Thankfully they will remain to be our worthy guide.

Helpful staff, bargain for a down coat in closing down sale. Seems a shame as plenty of choice and variety of goods.
