Mighty Campers - Cairns Omdömen 

The rental, pick up and drop off experience was great. I had several communications via email with the company prior to pick up all my emails were answered and responded too quickly. When we picked up the coach, the walk-through was efficient. I'm thorough. The drop off was fast and easy.

4th Motorhome hire from Apollo group of companies - was unaware the Mighty brand maybe the budget brand - disappointed in the cleanliness of the vehicle - a well worn Motorhome.

Interactions with staff in Cairns were great - they were friendly and helpful. Definitely one of the better rental agencies I've experienced. The vehicle was about what we expected - a bit old and tired, but no problems with it.

Great service at pickup and exceptional service Tazz when we dropped off the motor home. Tazz also took us through some other vehicles we will be looking to hire in the future.

We were knowingly given a camper with a damged toilet cartridge. We were completly unaware of the damage that was present as we did not see the cartridge at the time of pickup. After we had spent a night away and drove off the next day, The cartridge began to leak effluent all through the motorhome. We desperarly tried to contain the runoff using toilet paper and towels, but it was all too late. We stopped at our nearest Woolworths and purchased cleaning agents, paper towels, disinfectant and tried to clean the mess as best we could. Our camper now smelt of sewerage the whole trip. I made a report to Mighty Campers, and had to drive back to Cairns to have it replaced. We had 3 days of an unusable toilet and non stop sewerage smell in our camper. It was not a very pleasant trip.

This is the 2nd time I've hired a camper from here and will definitely be back again!

The service is great, the camper was clean and well stocked. The microwave, fridge and aircon were life savers once we'd arrived to our camp site.

The bedding configuration is also a bonus, everyone has their own space, so we found this very comfortable.

I'd highly recommend the 6berth option for the space and convenience. We paid a little more due to it being a public holiday etc, but overall the pricing was decent.

As a family, we've already agreed to doing this at least once per year based on the 2 great experiences we've had thus far.

Van 2. Ours (convoy)

1. Collected van and drove for a little while. Couldn’t figure out the air con in the driving area but didn’t have time to look at it properly.

2. No sweeping brush (Told over phone to go and buy one ourselves and keep the receipt)

3. The main door wouldn’t open from the inside - major fire hazard (Told over the phone we could do whatever we could to fix it ourselves. Spent 2 hours taking bits apart and greasing them - eventually fixing the door)

4. Day 2 realised the air con didn’t work (told over the phone by Louisa “I personally wouldn’t travel to Australia in the Summer” not helpful - if the air con worked we wouldn’t have had that problem. Had to drive 3 days in the blistering heat with no air con.

5. On your advice, we were told to take the van to the garage you sent us to, to have the air con fixed/re-gassed. Spent 2 hours trying to have YOUR van fixed, only a temporary fix. A permanent fix would take 6 hours work/4 days driving of our holiday itinerary.

6. 2 quilts smelt badly of sick, had to leave them outside overnight

7. We parked both vans up in Airlie Beach as we had booked a 6 night boat trip. You eventually brought us a van to swap.

8. No table or chairs

9. No water pipe connection

10. 17-19/12 no electricity

NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Had a weeks rental with these guys. The pick up process was easy and staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a great week away. The van was in great condition and the drop-off process was just as easy. Highly recommend.

When we picked up our van at thl cairns it was explained to us that this was one of the older van models. Fine, we accepted a fair degree of wear and tear. However, what we found disappointing were: the side door contacts lost contact over bumps and round corners thereby triggering a dashboard alert to ring and display, the kitchen drawers would burst open round corners as the retention pins were worn, the fridge door needed to be closed in particular way, there was a nausea- inducing smell of old milk from the child seat when it warmed up. Yes, the van engine never missed a beat and was quite economical when driven with just a little care. The Aircon worked well. The sleeping was pretty comfortable. But the run through of the van was rushed and the faults listed above lead us to conclude that the van was turned around too quickly with little or no attention paid to maintaining the non-mechanical parts of the van.

We were very disappointed with our campervan. The linen was smelling bad (probably didn’t dry properly).
The beds and seats were full of sand.
The dishes were dirty too.
So we lost time in our first day to clean everything.
I didn’t realize when we picked up the van because we were excited to start the roadtrip and we were more focus how to use the campervan.

The vehicle was immaculate and exceeded expectations. Plus it was great value and the service was fantastic too.

Camper itself was great but the onboarding and off boarding experience was horrendous

We had no trouble get from airport to pickup, we had no problem with your camper, everything worked as it should, they showed us how everything works when picking up. We had a great week away traveling around Cairns and Townsville and in between.

I’m still waiting for my bond refund, two month in.
