Mifsuds Photographic Omdömen 

I bought a Nikon F90X film camera, sight-unseen, mail-order, from Mifsuds. It was described by them as being in good condition. The camera arrived a couple of days later, and bearing in mind this is a 30-year-old model, it was in immaculate condition and fully functional. Communications were good - I was informed by email when the package had shipped. I would definitely buy from them again based on this experience.

I purchased a second hand Nikon lens from Mifsuds, and I'm very pleased with condition which was as described. It was posted and received in very good time with Mifsuds keeping me updated all the way. I will be no doubt be shopping again with Misfuds in the future. Highly recommended.

On visiting this establishment and asking a simple yes or no question, I did not expect a vitriolic and embarrassing lesson correcting my grammar!

Trust is certainly a word you can use about Mifsuds Photographic. I have received a couple of secondhand items from them which have been in excellent condition. The delivery was swift and the packaging was right for the items. In my experience I would recommend them as a reliable and trustworthy supplier.

I have been a loyal Mifsuds customer for many years and have only ever had the very best experiences. It is always very clear that they care not only about the products they sell but also about their customers.

My dealings area mostly concerning new Canon 1-series cameras plus new and used L-series lenses. I have always been delighted with the service provided and with the quality of the products, whether new or used.

I have part-exchanged a good number of my lenses for new kit and have never had any issues.

Today was the long-anticipated call to say that they were ready to ship my Canon R1, which will be with me tomorrow. I have always been fortunate enough to be one of the first in the country to receive these pro bodies, never being let down by Mifsuds buying powers of Canon pro kit.

Matt is always keen to help and a pleasure to speak with. While I live in Oxford, I consider Mifsuds my 'local' camera shop and recommend it to everyone.

My experience at Mifsuds was nothing more than exemplary. I have a Canon 5d Mkiv which I was having difficulties with and needed someone to look at it so went to the shop. We arrived some 20 minutes after the store had closed but they kindly opened the shop for me so that I could be assisted with my problems. The shop owner and Robert whom I guess was an employee set about diagnosing the problems with my camera and it's operator ie. me and made the necessary adjustments both to the camera and to the operator ensuring that I was properly informed of what I could do better and gave my sensor a clean at the same time. They charged me nothing for the work and saved me considerable amounts of money by doing the work without sending the camera to the manufacturer unnecessarily. Fabulous Service.

Received a 2nd hand item ( flashgun) from Mifsuds. I was pleasantly surprised that all the extras came with it, ie stand, case and instruction booklet. All in excellent condition. Item arrived in good time and was well packaged. Good price too. Would definitely use this company again and recommend. Thank you!

I had the great misfortune of having one of Mifsuds staff buy a lens off me via Ebay which they fraudulently returned claiming it as defective when it clearly wasn't. (confirmed by Ebay)

The description stated there was dust on the front element plus I included 4 separate images of the front to avoid any confusion or doubt as to the condition.

Once the item was delivered however Mifsuds stated "the front element is quite dusty so am going to get a second opinion on Tuesday and may need to return". I stated that this was in the description so they changed their reason and replied "not just dust but some strange marks inside". This was untrue and the images taken upon return confirm this.

The questionable ethics were then compounded by the images they used to justify their fraudulent return. What was a "quite dusty" front element grew into a claim the lens was actually "defective". They then used a smudged a greasy image of the rear element included with the front to make this claim but when the item was returned and I showed 7 images in ambient and torch light of the rear element with no such issue they contradicted their story again and stated the rear element wasn't the issue at all (so why use it as evidence)

This deliberately misleading use of other images not linked to their claim and embellishing of the issues to circumvent the rules led to Ebay logging it as a fraudulent return and are investigating their practices.

Furthermore they used a private account to buy the item but their commercial interest only became clear when the shop address appeared as the delivery address.

There are always differences of opinion on a sale and misunderstandings can occur but what Mifsuds did was deliberate and highly unethical. They saw no issue breaching terms of service to circumvent rules so I would be highly cautious over buying anything from them, particularly anything used.

To confirm so there is no doubt. This was not seller error on my part. This account is supported by clear evidence and Ebay has confirmed this as a fraudulent return. It has also been confirmed they are being investigated over it so any attempt to reframe this as seller error or misdescribing the item is false.

Small photography stores are a vital resource and in every other scenario I would support such a store but I can't in good faith let such unethical practices go unreported.

First class service, excellent communication and fast delivery. Highly Recommended.

What a refreshing company to deal with. I was looking for an item showing out of stock everywhere other than "pre-order" etc.
Mifsuds website showed it in stock, never trusting such statements I called to check. Matt was really helpful and I really enjoyed our conversation.
He confirmed that they did indeed have physical stock and that they were happy to upgrade shipping to a Saturday delivery at no cost to me.
After placing the order I realised I should have added an extra battery that they were also showing stock of. So I called Matt back, he confirmed they had it and could add it to the package.
Like a total muppet I then ordered two of the batteries by mistake. Matt amended the order and refunded the cost of one of those in minutes.

Will definitely be back!
