This is a very deceptive property. We booked an apartment at Brickell through Booking.com.

Fraudulent misrepresentation by both the property owner and by Booking.com

Payment was taken immediately in full. Within minutes of the booking we received an email telling us that the property was being renovated. The balcony could not be used, there would be no view, the light would be effected and there would be construction noise.

Booking.com told us to contact the property owner and the property owner told us to contact Booking.com. We still do not have out cancellation confirmed and Booking.com still has our money.

They were both as bad as each other. I have been using Booking.com almost since they started and have booked hundreds of thousands of $$$$$ of hotels through them.

Deeply disappointing. As I said, it is fraudulent misrepresentation verging on theft.

I do not recommend this property.

The listing is titled “Luxury Ocean View Apartment,” but the unit provided was a studio with no full kitchen, and I was told after check-in that accessing a kitchen would require paying for an upgrade. This was not clearly disclosed during booking.

During my stay, the air conditioning was not functioning properly, and despite reporting it, no timely resolution was provided. I also found a bug in the bed, which was documented and shared with management.

Additionally, communication was extremely frustrating. I spent hours trying to resolve these issues through both the property and Booking.com, including multiple disconnected calls and the host blocking my number. Ultimately, I was denied any refund, unit change, or meaningful accommodation and was told my only option was to pay more.

This experience was stressful, poorly handled, and far from what was advertised.

I booked a stay with Miami Vacation Rentals directly through their website, expecting a straightforward and fair cancellation process. Unfortunately, I quickly discovered that their cancellation policy was far stricter than what they advertise on other platforms, such as [e.g., Airbnb, Booking.com].

I attempted to cancel my reservation within 1 hr of booking, only to be told that they have a 14-day minimum cancellation policy. This was not clearly disclosed during the booking process. Had I known about this policy, I would not have booked through their website.

To make matters worse, the company refused to offer any flexibility or even a partial refund, despite my immediate cancellation attempt. Their customer service was unhelpful and dismissive when I reached out to resolve the issue.

It’s frustrating to see that they offer more lenient policies on other platforms, which feels deceptive and unfair to direct customers. I urge others to avoid booking directly with this company unless you’re prepared to accept the strictest possible terms, often hidden in fine print.

Recommendation: Book through third-party platforms with clear, customer-friendly cancellation policies if you decide to deal with this company at all.
