I am beyond frustrated with the appalling service from Metal Supermarkets. I ordered rebar for a building project in Stoke-on-Trent, giving them a 10-day window to fulfil it. On delivery day, they showed up with the wrong size. To make matters worse, the driver falsely claimed they had spoken to me on the phone about the change—they absolutely had not.

I had to send the incorrect order back, and the knock-on effects have been financially disastrous. I am currently paying four days of wages for two people who are stuck with nothing to do. Because we are building on clay, our trenches are now exposed and degrading. We will now have to dig deeper, clear out more spoil, and pour significantly more concrete than planned.

Their customer service has been shocking. I have phoned them several times, and they couldn't even arrange a correct replacement delivery for the next day. I last spoke to them yesterday, and despite promising to keep me posted, they have gone completely silent. I am constantly the one chasing them. Absolute rubbish service that is costing me an absolute fortune. Avoid.

The Cicero office, specifically Benjamin Heredia, was able to locate material for me that my local metals shops were unable to provide. He was professional and attentive to my needs! My experience so positive that I have decided to qualify them as an approved supplier!

I ordered 2 sheets of 6082-T6. What arrived was not 6082-T6, way too soft.
I contacted them & explained, Tom replied with a screenshot of the sheet spec, to which I replied it was definitely not 6082-T6 & he ghosted me. Not impressed at all, having used them for several years now. Someone has pulled a fast one. Will look to find another contact method & speak to someone else.

Metal Supermarkets has a fantastic business formula as it satisfied customers by providing and satisfying specific needs rather than forcing them to buy what they do not need. It's a perfect balance in pricing and fulfillment of customer's requirements.

I received a delivery today, and one of the items was quite heavy. At 70 years old, I found it difficult to lift safely, especially without gloves as the sheet edges seemed sharp. I asked the driver for help moving it into my shed. Instead of assisting, he aggressively replied, “Say please.” I did then say “please,” but overall the experience was unpleasant.

I would have expected a more professional and considerate approach, with the driver anticipating the difficulty and kindly offering assistance rather than making me feel uncomfortable.

I regularly shop at the Charlton se london branch, there is a man there who is extremely rude and a pain to deal with, I think his name is Adam, not a pleasant chap at all, so if u shop in this branch avoid Adam. All the other staff seem ok.

Small order 2" x 2" copper round bar cut to size and delivered to my door from Park Royal branch. It's not cheap - £50 is comparable to other suppliers - but as a model maker if I need it I have to have it no matter the cost. Brilliant service and very pleasant and helpful on the phone.

Gateshead Branch - As a call in customer who only needed a small order, I received superb customer service. Really helpful team on the desk and behind the scenes. Thank you, it was a pleasure to be a customer.

Metal Supermarkets from Leeds were so very helpful for our company when we needed some floor plate urgently they came up trumps and delivered for a small fee. Even cut to size for us many thanks.
