I had an extremely negative experience with Machineseeker.

The way their homepage is structured feels intentionally misleading. You are guided through what appears to be a simple registration or inquiry process, but before you fully realize it, you are locked into a contract. The terms are not presented in a clear, transparent, or prominent way. It feels like you’re being funneled into a binding agreement without proper warning.

What’s worse is that once you realize what has happened, there seems to be no straightforward or reasonable way to cancel. Instead of helpful customer support, you’re met with rigid responses and zero flexibility.

The most distressing part of this experience was receiving aggressive and threatening letters demanding payment. Rather than attempting to resolve the issue professionally, the communication felt intimidating and disproportionate.

Overall, the entire process left me feeling misled, pressured, and deeply disappointed. I would strongly advise anyone considering using this platform to read every single line of the terms and conditions very carefully before clicking anything.

Price on the website does not match the invoice, try to enforce terms that you haven't agreed to and waste time chasing what they call debts when a client refuses to pay. Not even a UK business either trading in euros from outside the country often meaning you'll have to pay bank fee's when making payments to them. Other sites are better and more customer centric, I would not recommend and will not be using again.

This company operates in a highly unethical and predatory manner. They rely on misleading marketing, a deliberately poor website interface, and vague communication to lure users into long-term contracts without clear consent.

The process works like this: you come across their website filled with flashy claims about being one of the largest and most successful ad-listing platforms. Naturally, you think, “Why not create an account and test it out?” What they fail to make clear is that simply creating an account automatically binds you to a contract lasting a year or more. There is no explicit contract presented for signing, no confirmation step, no request for credit card or bank details, and no clear warning that you are committing to a paid service.

You only discover that you are supposedly “under contract” when you receive their first invoice—regardless of whether you have posted a listing or used the platform in any meaningful way.

At that point, you might reasonably assume customer support will resolve the issue. That assumption is wrong. Their support staff are rude and condescending, and the only response you will receive is a demand to pay. If you refuse, they threaten additional charges and legal action. There is no willingness to discuss, clarify, or resolve the situation fairly. When asked, they aren't even capable of sending you the contract that you've apparently singed with them, nor can it be found in your account details on their website, that should tell you all about their business practice.

What’s particularly hypocritical is that when it comes to payments, they scrutinize every minor detail. However, if they make a mistake—such as charging the same invoice twice—they will not notify you and will remain silent unless you discover the issue yourself and challenge it.

As for the actual effectiveness of their platform: it appears to be nonexistent. The vast majority of inquiries seem to come from fake or automated accounts designed to create the illusion of activity. Alternatively, messages sent to real users simply never reach them. After the initial inquiry, communication stops entirely. You can receive 100, 500, or even 1,000 inquiries, and not a single one turns into a real sale.

So if you ever considered listing your ads on this website - DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!
