They are cowboy builders, do not use them!

The operate unlicensed and will rip you off and carry out cowboy work. They are well known to operate in north / north west London and both Harrow council and Brent council enforcement teams are after them for ripping off customers and working without a licence.

My neighbour used them and they pressured her into paying £6k for a driveway she didn’t even ask for. They did such a bad job her car can’t even be parked on the drive anymore as it’s sinking. She asked them to come back and they never did and have now blocked her number.

Please stay away and do not use them.

I’m absolutely thrilled with the work they did! The team was incredibly friendly, professional, and the price was very reasonable. They were recommended to me by friends, and I’m so glad I chose them. I honestly don’t agree with some of the negative reviews I’d seen before, because my experience was nothing but positive. They did a fantastic job on my driveway and the end result looks great. I couldn’t be happier and would 100% recommend them!

Didn’t work on my house but did house across from me, started work at 0530 for two days! When I asked them not to they insisted it was ok as they were quiet.

From the outset, John was very persuasive and made numerous promises and commitments. The first issue arose when he brought the wrong colours for the driveway. When I pointed this out, he became aggressive, shouted, and behaved disrespectfully. Fortunately, I had already sent him the agreed colour scheme and design via WhatsApp, which clearly showed he was at fault.
When he later realised his mistake, he did not apologise either for bringing the wrong colours or for his behaviour. Instead, he attempted to justify his actions by claiming that, based on his experience, his preferred colour scheme would “look better,” despite this not being what we had agreed.
Whenever I raised concerns or pointed out discrepancies in his work, he dismissed them using technical jargon and hid behind supposed technicalities rather than addressing the issues directly.
We had agreed that full payment would be made after the kerb dropping was completed. However, he repeatedly insisted on being paid earlier than agreed and also requested that part of the payment be made in cash. I refused this, as we had clearly agreed from the beginning that payment would be made via bank transfer.
Ultimately, the work was not completed as agreed. When I followed up repeatedly over a period of two months, his response was once again disrespectful, and he told me to complete the work myself.

I deeply regret working with him and would not recommend his services based on my experience.

John was working on a neighbour’s driveway, so we took the opportunity to ask them about their experience before deciding to proceed ourselves. He was very prompt, started the work as soon as we signed the contract and completed it within the agreed timeframe.

We suggested a custom pattern outside of his brochure, which he accommodated without hesitation. The final result has been very well-finished, and we've received several compliments on it.

John also returned upon request to paint the steps to the house to match the driveway and even extended the work to part of our wall, as discussed.

Overall, we're pleased with the outcome. As with any project, it's a good idea to review the details and progress along the way — but we found John to be flexible and efficient.

John Lynch and crew to the rescue. Previously some months back I had another company come to do my driveway with gravel and added brick near my electric gates and it turned into a disaster of a job. Ruined my driveway however I saw Lynch paving signs while taking my kids to school and eventually asked them if they could sort out my drive. John came to view the drive and was shocked at the terrible state my drive was in. He gave me a price and his crew arrived to start work on Monday. It’s now finished and looks great. He had to take away a few ton of gravel and level the drive and lay a full metre length strip of paving at the gates and around my flower bed. Before John came to fix the drive we had a terrible time getting in and out of the drive as gates were getting stuck. Now gates are running smooth with no obstructions. Very hard workers and stayed working all day on both days. Thanks John and Tom the foreman for a great job.

I got Lynch contractor ltd from my neighbour, I phoned John and we made an appointment for me to get a feet quote. I agreed to what he had to say regarding how much my new driveway would cost! He and his team were prompt and courteous, I was kept informed from start to finish. I am very pleased with the resulting work carried out and would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

We hired this contractor to install a new patio, with a clear agreement to begin on April 19, 2025. During our initial meeting, we discussed several key points: the layout, drainage, clearance for the bifold doors, and that payment would be made by credit card upon completion, which is also stated on their website. They also agreed to move our patio items as needed during the job.

They did not show up on the agreed day and instead asked if they could come on Sunday. I assumed this was to review designs and samples, but instead, they began demolition work without warning at 7:00 AM, making loud noise on a weekend.

That first day, they left all of our patio items out on the street overnight, a busy high street. When I called to express concern, I was met with hostility and was told they would not return followed by “You’re still a young man, you can move them yourself.” When I asked if they'd take responsibility for any stolen items, I was told also told they wouldn't be responsible, followed by shouting with a conversation that was not productive.

On Monday, they returned, still without the promised samples and finished removing the existing bricks. I again raised concerns that the ground level seemed too high for the bifold doors. I was reassured they were professionals and it would be handled correctly. At the end of the day they were already asking for most of the money stating they would not continue otherwise, although what was agreed was the payment by the end, on top of it they changed their words and would no longer accept credit card.

Tuesday, they didn’t show up at all. They had ordered bricks, which were dropped in the curb and left unattended.

On Wednesday, they returned and spread sand, raising the ground level even further. I repeated my concerns about the bifold clearance. I was again told not to worry. They started laying bricks that same day, only to realize the bifold doors wouldn’t open properly. Rather than correcting the height, they created a steep slope as a workaround. Despite this, the door still scratches against the bricks when opening.

To make matters worse, they miscalculated the number of bricks needed and ordered more in the wrong colour after not being able to buy the correct one in the quantity he wanted. Rather than correct it, they hid the mismatched bricks with sand and started making excuses first tried to say I asked for it, then changed to it was his own choice because it would make the design pop and that he could have ordered white as the company works with have unlimited stock of the white colour. CCTV footage later showed him calling several suppliers before settling for the wrong colour and trying to cover it up.

Before leaving, they attempted to add VAT on top of the previously agreed total cost. I refused.

The end result was unacceptable: poor drainage, no render on the wall edges, loose bricks due to insufficient sand, mismatched brick colours, and visible damage to some bricks. The bifold door still catches when opening.

Since then, they’ve become unreachable. I’m now pursuing further action, but I’m leaving this review to help others avoid the same experience.

Lynch provided an excellent service from start to finish. From initial engagement to completion of a quality looking driveway, Lynch were professional and approachable the entire way. They have a very friendly team who helped ease any concerns I had and knew all the necessary requirements. Would definitely recommend John and the team if you’re looking to get your driveway done.
