I ordered a item of ideal world two weeks later someone called offering all these freebies they wanted to send me at no cost I never received the parcel and now they are trying to take £104.95 from my bank this company is a scam I would never buy anything from them again

Purchased from ideal world and they passed my details to you , I took a call and you sent me the welcome ( it was out across it was free at no point was a fee mentioned. I have cancelled this in December via email I have also got confirmation of this but can you explain how you now have taken another payment ??? This is theft

I am a regular customer of Idealworld and I regularly receive cold calls from their advisors about this so called benefits club.

I have always declined these offers as I had a bad experience in the past with the Rocket Group.

However, having been reassured by one cold caller that there is no risk or obligation on my part if I didn't want to proceed - this clearly indicated me having to opt in as oppose having to opting out.

I work away from home and I got back on 28th Dec 22. On 1st Jan 23 I went through my build up of mail which contained a pack from Lifestyle Plus. On reading the introductory letter (dated 26/08/22) it stated that if I did not cancel within 21 days I would be charged £89.99 by becoming a member. On seeing this I immediately checked my bank account and noticed that £104.94 had been deducted on 30/09/22 and a further £24.99 deducted on 05/12/22. I would like to stress that I did not authorise Lifestyle Plus to debit my bank account and I certainly did not want to be a member of this club.

This tactic of Lifestyle Plus using these unscrupulous business tactics to get people to unknowingly join their club is shameful to say the least and I'm extremely surprised that Idealworld would partner with such a company.

I also note that just about all the reviews on trustpilot are similar to mine in that people have been unknowingly duped into becoming a part of Lifestyle Plus.

I personally have no use whatsoever in being a member of Lifestyle Plus and I will be contacting them later today in the hope of getting my money refunded.

I'm a loyal member of Idealworld and I'll be contacting them also.

Like many others, just had £104,95 taken out my bank account, without my permission. Why do companies love ripping off people. Are you going to refund my money, in these hard times??

I've just started managing my 75 year old father's finances, after noticing a significant decline in his capacity over the past few months.

Having reviewed his bank statements, he had no idea what several transactions were - and had no memory at all of ever speaking to anyone from 'Lifestyleplus'.

A Google search directed me to Trustpilot - as per the previous reviews, he has also been the unfortunate victim of these parasites.

This company cold-called my father after he bought a vacuum via Ideal World TV shopping in Dec 2021, and then subscribed him to a 'discount scheme' he didn't know existed, let alone ever used. They have taken the following payments -
£104.94 - Jan 22
£24.98 - Apr 22
£24.98 - Jun 22
£24.98 - Aug 22
They attempted to take another £24.98 today, which I have just cancelled through Lloyds Fraud Dept.

Their operating procedure appears to be;
1) Get customer contact details and debit card numbers from Ideal World.
2) Call vulnerable elderly people, who then associate them with the purchase from Ideal World.
3) Persuade them to verbally agree to a tinpot voucher scheme (nothing is signed)
4) Skim around the fact that there will be a recurring payment and hope the victim doesn't notice the money going out of their account.

I'll be calling them tomorrow, to request they return his stolen money - I do not anticipate for one moment they will.

In the event they refuse to return the £180 they have conned out of an elderly vulnerable man, I will be reporting them to both Trading Standards and the police, via Action Fraud.

Disgusting.

Cold call from Ideal World asking if I would like to pay 99p to receive some discounts on top restaurants. I said no initially, but they insisted it was just 99p. No mention of membership or costs or the need to cancel anything on the call.
Lifestyle Plus have proceeded to take over £200 from my account over the last year. Only found out as my credit card company blocked the next £104 for this year.
When I called to complain, they refuse to refund me and state that I never cancelled my membership in time. I didnt even know I was a member!
Avoid at all costs, dont buy anything from Ideal World either.

Tried to take 104.94 out of my account at 0054 am this morning .my bank stopped it as fraud,new card in five days,thank you ideal world for my pressure cooker,

I do not want to belong to lifestyle plus. I can’t seem to leave.

Trying to cancel for > a year now - no response to my emails sent to enquiries @ lifestyle plus .club

Just noticed they took another subscription but have not bothered to respond to any of my emails.

Extremely angry! Why do they make it difficult to cancel? Can't seem to do it from my account. WHY???

I've never used any products from them.

Update 27.10.22 @ 17.12 GMT - after kicking up a fuss & contacting lifestyle plus directly, also Ideal World. I received a satisfactory response today - just a few hours after my review. They will refund all money taken from the date of my original request to cancel - it wasn't years - 16th of October last year(21) - it felt like much longer although I'm a member since 12/2020. I'm told they did not receive my cancellation emails. The address was correct, but, regardless, will give the benefit of doubt, I am happy with their response today. I suggest they put an option to unsubscribe on their website - make it easy and people won't react so angrily. From reading the reviews, most are negative. Going to change mine from 1-4 stars!

Ideal World have passed on my vulnerable elderly parents Credit Card Details to Scammers Lifestyle Plus!
We have just been asked by my bank if I had authorised a payment to these fraudsters - they didn’t!
Like the other customer, AT NO TIME DID THEY AGREE TO PAY ANY MONEY TO THEM OR AGREE THEY COULD USE THEIR CREDIT CARD DETAILS.
It’s a huge scam preying on people who were simply trying to purchase one item online. It’s disgusting.
We strongly advise everyone affected by this scam to contact Ideal World, your card company and Police or Citizens Advice for support as they make it so hard to even get in touch with someone on the phone to help!

I would like to rate "0" stars here. I purchased holidays from lifestyle plus back in 2019. when I got home and opened up the key pin to actually see what was on offer I realized that it wasn't value for money. I had paid what amounted to £2600 after bank charges for euros to pounds. I got back to Lifestyle Plus right away which was well within a cooling off period. I waited for a response. I tried again (I have emails saved) eventually I got them on the phone when one guy promised me that he would sort it out. Apparently he would have to sell my package and give me back my money minus charges. I didn't mind losing commission. I heard nothing for ages. I got in touch again and the guy had either left or had gone back to England. (Then the Pandemic) I have recently said I was going to get the credit company involved or a solicitor (by email) I haven't heard from them yet. I'm really fed up with it all. I want to be reasonable and accept £2000 but can't get any joy. Hi I recently purchased from ideal world I was asked if I wanted a free trial for a month with Life Style plus which I told them I did not, but it seems that they passed on my details anyway. You Life Style plus have taken £104.94 out of my bank account and I would like it put back in please and cancel any further transmission. Thank you M Farrar.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING FRAUDULENT BEHAVIOUR!! These con artist have scammed my 70 year old mother in law out of £104 without her permission. My mother in law who is hard of hearing ordered pillow cases from ideal world for £10 and 21 days later these fraudsters take £104 out of her bank account!! With no prior agreement!! My mother in law in no way agreed to any membership with this company and as a vulnerable elderly person this is absolutely disgusting!! There should be no way that this behaviour should be allowed to happen so we are contacting the bank and creating a fraud claim. This company will be blocked for taking any money from her and it’s absolutely disgusting that her card and bank details were passed from ideal world to this company. This is breaching data protection and will be dealt with accordingly!! You should be ashamed of yourselves!!

I recently made an order on Ideal World. The following day I received an unsolicited call from their Customer Service team offering me a free trial of Lifestyle Plus Club. I agreed to the trial and awaited the information.

My order arrived and the item was faulty/damaged. I contacted Ideal World and they have replaced the item promptly and without question.

The Lifestyle Plus paperwork has arrived and after looking through it, I decided that I did not want to proceed.

I have just telephoned Customer Services and selected option 1, then option 3, as guided by the recorded voice, to cancel the Membership.

I explained that I’d had a look through the paperwork, but didn’t wish to proceed and therefore requested cancellation.

The advisor started to question why I didn’t wish to proceed. Why didn’t I want the discounts, rattling off a number of stores where discounts could be achieved, surely you shop at some of them?

Finally, after repeating myself several times, I was provided with a cancellation reference number and I hope I don’t hear anything further.

My one star rating is accorded to Ideal World, for replacing the faulty/damaged item so promptly.

1 is too many stars as I've been royaly screwed over by these people, I received a phone call asking if I was happy with my new mattress from idealtv which I was/am, he went on to ask me if I was interested in a complimentary, he used that word often, something about discounts off meals out, holidays blah blah blah, at which point I switched of, my mind I mean and because I just wanted him off the phone I said sure, send it, it arrived, I gave it a cursory glance and put it to one side as I wasn't that interested and was busy, I hardly ever go out or do holidays as I'm disabled and virtually housebound, I didn't give it another thought, so today, Saturday so I can't phone them until Monday, they took £104 from my bank, I didn't give them my card number or any kind of permission to take anything from my bank, I rang my bank and because at this point it's only pending they could do nothing until next Saturday, I now have only £15 in my bank and no funds to pay my direct debits and have had to scrounge money from my daughter to cover the dds, how do these people get away with this???

Lifestyle plus just tried to take payment from my credit card and I haven't even received the welcome pack and was assured by their sales person no charges would be made until I activated the account after receipt of said welcome pack!!

I bought zhuzh from Idealworld,who then gave my bank account details to Lifestyle Plus without my permission who have taken £104.94 out of my account I will never buy from IdealWorld ever again.Emailed the company awaiting the outcome

Prior to the attempted delivery I received a call from a girl who I understood to be from ideal world asking if she could send me some information about offers, I agreed. I AT NO TIME AGREED TO PAY ANY MONEY TO THEM OR AGREE THEY COULD USE MY CREDIT CARD DETAILS - I will be reporting this to the police and strongly advise everyone affected by this scam to do the same.
