The retractable pump-action handle just rotates through 90 degrees to the vertical position and then, with a few pumps, you'll have that colander bowl spinning and sending all that residual water out of your food! Salad leaves are quickly made dry and crisp after washing and won't get your other food soggy. You can also use it to dry off washed fruit, like berries, for a delicious breakfast that's not puddled in water. Then when you're done, just retract the handle and lock it back in place!
