Amazing experience, highly recommend

Bought a full kit outfit from here and could not be happier! The quality is brilliant, a great price, especially compared to what others charge for lower quality and came very quickly! I accidentally selected the wrong sporran and wrong size of shoes, I emailed to explain my error and asked if it was possible to swap these, not even 48 hours later I had a replacement for both sent to my house, a brilliant experience and would highly recommend to anyone considering making a purchase!

Great service!

I had ordered a kilt jacket with waistcoat combo as I'd put on some weight. I've got a wedding in a few weeks and wasn't sure I would be able to get it on time as the chest size and arm length was on back order but received a call to let me know they had the chest size in a long and got it to me the next day! Just tried them on and they feel great! Was worried the material might be too thick for a full day wedding but it's nice and comfortable! Great experience!

Just Don’t

Ordered kilt jackets on the 2nd January. Wanted at least one for the 21st. Despite emails (no response) and the promise of delivery when I managed to contact them by phone nothing arrived. Cancelled the whole order on 20th January and requested a refund. They ignored that request and sent the items the following day. £8.60 for tracked return and hopefully my credit card will secure a refund

Fantastic kilt shop, absolute bargain for the quality.

The prices seemed too good to be true, and some of the reviews here concerning but they are completely wrong. I ordered a 8 Yard Bespoke Kilt Full Highland Dress Package and couldn’t be happier with what was delivered, fantastic quality. Customer service was great, I contacted them with a change to a measurement and this was quickly amended in my order. Came well packed and tracked delivery.

Jacket excellent communicating needs work

Very disappointed. Paid for an ex hire jacket on Friday 17th - no confirmation, no email no jacket. Phoned up and was told that having issue with email. Have sent further email and no reply.

Was also told could pay by pay pal at checkout.... no option to make payment this way.

Called back again a few days ago and left message on answer phone.. had a voicemail left by Sam apologising and that jacket was on way.
Parcel arrived yesterday nicely boxed and jacket on brief examination appears excellent condition. I have not tried on or checked size yet.

If only company could communicate then a lot of comments on here might be better

Bad Experience

Ordered two kilt jackets. Despite 3 emails (without reply) and a telephone call with the promise to send part order immediately with the rest when stock came in, nothing has been received. Very disappointing as I hoped to wear one of the jackets at a funeral. I have now cancelled the full order and contacted my bank to try and recover my money.

No communication. I suspect this company are scammers and putting a company by the name of kilt 4 less in jeopardy. Kilts 4 less are skilful in misleading people and I’m surprised that company house has allowed 2 companies to trade under such similar names. The ‘s’ is a clever ( dishonest) dodge

Terrible experience. Zero accountability or customer service.

I ordered a sweater on November 21 as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend. The item was deeply sentimental to him, as his original had been accidentally ruined in the wash. I ordered a size large.

The package arrived in the U.S. on December 5 — in the wrong size. They sent a medium. This was entirely their error.

I emailed them within minutes of receiving the package, then followed up four days later. It took five days for them to respond, at which point they said they would send a replacement in the correct size. I thanked them and took them at their word — replacing an item they sent incorrectly is the bare minimum.

After that, everything went silent.

Eight days passed with no update, no tracking, no confirmation, nothing. I followed up again. No response. I followed up again on December 22. Then again on December 23. Still nothing.

I gave them an entire month from their last response to reply or make good on the replacement, accounting for the holidays. On January 13, I sent a final message explaining that the lack of communication was unacceptable. I also noted that being a “small family-run business” does not excuse sending the wrong item, keeping a customer’s money, and then disappearing.

That message was also ignored.

No replacement was ever sent. No refund was offered. I was forced to dispute the charge with my credit card company and still had to pay the DHL import taxes for an item I could not use.

I genuinely do not understand how this company claims a 100% satisfaction rate. There is absolutely no way. This was careless, unprofessional, and deeply frustrating from start to finish.

Do not shop here. They cannot handle basic order fulfillment or communication, and they take no responsibility when they make mistakes.

I ordered a kilt in Nov with an expected delivery time of 4 to 6 weeks. I have been trying to get in contact with them regularly on e mail and via phone to get an update and nothing back. Am concerned I have either been scammed or the company has gone into administration as absolutely nothing back. Have no idea if they have just stolen £400 from me.

What has happened! Order #K4L63523

Last year in 2025 I left a brilliant and glowing review for this company and in particular for Keiron and the brilliant service that I received.
WHAT HAS HAPPENED????
On the 15th December I placed an order for an Argyle Jacket and Waistcoat to accommodate a large weight loss since my last order, in order to attend a Hogmanay Event in Pitlochry.
Within a on the 18th December I received my order – all good so far.
On trying the items on I found that the Jacket fitted perfectly, the waistcoat was a different story – the fit was pretty comical despite being labelled the same as the jacket.
Not a problem normally – and now the tale of woe begins….
I immediately emailed Kilts-4-Less with photographs and an explanation of the problem, hoping to receive a fairly quick response given the time of year and the clear assumption that the order may have been for an important event – it was.
Since the 18th December I have sent 6 emails and called at least as many times (I’m sick of their recorded message) every attempt to make contact has been completely ignored, not even an acknowledgement of any kind, I even tried contacting them on Messenger and again wilfully ignored. I find this incredibly disrespectful and unbelievable for a company whom I assume wishes to still trade as their website appears still active and taking orders.
I have also today placed an order with The Scotland Shop in Crieff (what a breath of fresh air they are – answered the phone immediately) for a made to measure premium kilt which I would have liked to place with Kilts-4-Less, but given the manner in which I have been ignored this very expensive order has gone elsewhere.
I had to resolve the issue with the waistcoat by having an older one I had by taking it to a local tailor and having it altered at significant additional expense, the one supplied by Kilts-4-Less remains unused with tags attached in my wardrobe.
I am totally devastated by the utter contempt this company has for its customers, particularly repeat ones. I can only image the only excuse for this would be that the company is going out of business or in the process of bankruptcy.
So, it is with this in mind I warn anyone thinking of placing and order to attempt to make contact directly with them first (good luck with that) to establish if your order will be fulfilled and that their after service will be available to you – as right now it is clearly not available to me or others who have written on this site and who are clearly having problems. Make sure you use a credit card or PayPal so you might at lease be able to get a refund if necessary.
This has caused untold anxiety, thoughts of having to cancel my event, and in the end considerable expense to rectify a situation which they could have resolved with some common decency.
Shame on you Kilts-4-Less you could at lease make contact to offer an explanation.
UPDATE - Sam has just called and will be sending an alternative - clearly a bit late in the day but hopefully a resolution. He said they completely closed over Christmas and New Year. Perhaps a noification on website or an auto responder on email to indicate this may have been helpful - but thanks for the call Sam in any case appreciated.
UPDATE - 21/01/25 - Still no resolution despite second item being received which is also not good. I guess i need to give up and chalk this one up to experience.

No response.

I have been trying to contact the company since 22 December 2025 in respect of delivery of the wrong size of an item. I have not received any response to numerous emails and calls. I appreciate that it has been the holiday period but there is no suggestion on their website that they are closed. Indeed, they are accepting orders. For a company that provides clothing used almost exclusively for events, this level of service is useless. I am about to return the order (at their cost in terms of the Consumer Rights Act) and go elsewhere. Hopefully they might see this post and finally respond.

Concern

I am disturbed by some of the reviews. When I put in my order it said “usually” dispatched within 3-5 days. Heard nothing now after 8 days. Emailed politely asking for an update (as I have a deadline of need). No courtesy of a reply. The reviews suggest it’s a small family run business with which I sympathise and the products seem very good value but that is no reason, when you take someone’s money, to not meet a client’s expectations or reasonable request for communication. I remain hopeful for the time being but as my deadline of need approaches I must consider going elsewhere and requesting a refund. Meanwhile I will try to remain optimistic
Further emailing of company on their info@ address now 11 days after order placed, no response. Order was placed 12 December 25 now 5 Jan. Two voicemails 3 emails later, - nothing. Just tried another email which was blocked! I can only conclude I’ve been scammed. All I needed was reassurance that my order was being acted upon. Update, I have finally received an apologetic phone call telling me that my order should have been shipped before Christmas and that it’s been put on a tracked 24 Royal Mail delivery meaning I should receive my order tomorrow. Fingers crossed. Human error perhaps?
The items have finally arrived, they fit and are of good quality so I upgrade my review to 4 star.

I originally ordered the green seal…

I originally ordered the green seal sporran on their site, unfortunately it wasn’t in stock and was unavailable at that time. I really wanted a green sporran to go with my Ancient Urquhart tartan kilt. The company was GREAT, they custom coloured one of their leather dress sporrans for me. This was offered to be done for me by the very kind customer service agent. The end result was gorgeous. It turned out to be even better than the original choice I made. I can’t thank them enough they made this auld chappy very happy. Thanks guys.

Unreal prices

If you are ordering from this company do not expect a response, but rest assured the products will arrive. I understand they are a very small family business. The quality of the product is excellent given the pricing and am shocked I was able to get a new kilt for less than 100 quid, it felt too good to be true.

What I would say is if you need it quick this probably isnt the company for you but if you have sufficient time its worth the wait. The prices are crazy but if I can give some feedback it would be great if they were more responsive and you could get through on the phone or if someone responded to emails, but once again at those prices its hard to grumble which is why Ive given 5 stars.

Avoid!

Ordered an ex hire jacket and waistcoat from this company A because it was in stock B because it said 48hr delivery and C as they're Scottish.
After 6 days of hearing nothing I started emailing. Several emails and phone messages were ignored before on day 11 I got an apologetic reply as the items were not in stock and they had no idea when they would be ! That being despite still being advertised as in stock.
A refund was quickly agreed although no effort made to seek or offer an alternative.
They boast 100% customer satisfaction but I'd question that.

Different company getting good reviews

It would appear that favourable reviews are for a completely different company “kilt4less” no “s” after kilt. I ordered from kilts4less after a quick look at Trustpilot, only first couple of reviews. Having not heard anything after a few days for items listed on their (very good) website as in stock I tried calling - straight to voicemail, I have emailed, do not expect to receive a response. On checking the phone area code it is in Elgin, the company address is Greenock, looked at address on Google earth, it is a row of industrial units, but does not show any hint of kilts4less. The favourable reviews are totally misleading and appear to be for a reputable company with an extremely close company name. Avoid at all cost
Update, I eventually got a response and delivery, albeit a few weeks after I would reasonably have expected, so I will retract to a point my review. I’m sorry if the company had a family issue, possibly a message on the answerphone would have allayed my fears. Quality of received goods is good and the price excellent so if the customer contact was improved I would certainly use again

Had issues but resolved in the end

Paid for 7 day fastrack all items showed as in Stock got a confirmation email and nothing else no response from phone no response from either of the email addresses for the company and no response from their online form no it’s too late to get my order from anywhere else 2 weeks after order and still no idea if I’ll be dressed for my wedding!

Update :
They did get in contact with me and apparently they had had some kind of emergency I did receive my kilt in the end and it was perfect the jacket I received did not fit and due to the delay I did not have time to have it altered in fairness they were very good about accepting an return and processing refunds for the jacket and the fastrack charges . While I may not have had the best experience my self taking into account there circumstances they did the best they could more communication would have been preferred but they appear to be a small business
