Absolutely to avoid!!!! I also had the same terrible experience that many people have reported recently! The school staff is not qualified to teach. Even though they are teaching their own language, they do not have an appropriate method for each level, but instead use the same method for all levels! I was also placed in an unsuitable class despite the initial assurances given to me before payment by the school’s European consultant!!!! The school is old and dirty! The desks and chairs are completely inadequate and not ergonomic, placed in an absolutely unsuitable position relative to the screen where the content is projected, which is also old and unreadable! There is no desk where you can take notes; each student only has a chair with a small desk attached to the chair itself!!!!! All the chairs are connected to each other, so there is not even more than 5 cm of space between the side of one student and the next! The courses are extremely expensive and do not provide the service paid for! The quality of the materials is terrible! If you want to spend your lessons with a teacher who makes you play ball games in a circle to learn vocabulary like they do in kindergarten, this is the right school for you. However, if you have serious academic or professional goals, stay away from this school!!!!!

I am Italian and paid in full for a 5-week TOEFL course in advance at Kaplan’s Seattle location. Before making the payment, I asked Kaplan consultant several questions, including "If the minimum number of students is not reached, will the course still be confirmed?" and the response was "Absolutely yes" (I have written confirmation of this). Consequently, after paying for the course, I booked my stay and flight from Italy for the 5-week course.

On the first day of the course, we were shown around the school and given our class assignments (in my case, ADVANCED level). The next day, the official start date of the classes, I was placed in a GENERAL ENGLISH class instead of the TOEFL class!!!!
The class was already existing, not a new one as I was assured before leaving, with a very basic level of English and a teacher, who didn’t even introduce herself to the new students but just started the lesson as if nothing was wrong. When I asked for an explanation from the Director and the Academic Manager of Kaplan Seattle, I was told that because they hadn’t reached the minimum number of students for the TOEFL class, they had to place me in the GENERAL ENGLISH class!!!

This completely disrupted all my plans and academic goals due to the incompetence of this school. I requested an immediate refund to have the necessary funds to enroll in another school, and after being assured that they would refund me within the week as an "apology," they refunded me only after 40 days, just before my return to Italy. As a result, I came home without having achieved any of my goals. THIS SCHOOL SHOULD CLOSE due to its lack of ethics and the absolutely incompetent staff in teaching English.

This experience was exceptional ! I recommend Kaplan Seattle to any student wishing to study English.

A escola e muito boa, o espaco e bem agradavel e as atividades em sala de aula sao bem legais e fazem os alunos aprenderem melhor de maneira informal

A Kaplan me ajudou a melhorar o meu ingles quando eu achei que nao precisava de mais aulas e tambem conheci pessoas de varios paises o que tornou minha estadia aqui mais interessante e unica.

Tudo ocorreu da melhor maneira possivel, com funcionarios e professores extremamente atenciosos. A experiencia foi muito melhor que o imaginado, tanto em sala de aula como fora dela. Kaplan Seattle eh uma escola incrivel!

Los maestros y staff son personas muy profesionales y genuinamente interesados en el mejoramiento del ingles de los estudiantes. No tengo quejas de ninguno de mis maestros. El plan de estudio esta diseñado de tal forma que se puede interactuar con varios maestros y estudiantes de diferentes niveles. La ubicación de la escuela es excepcional, muy céntrica y las instalaciones esta en muy buen estado.

actually, i studied here for just a few months, so i can't tell how the school is exactly, but through my experience here, i would say that learning english at kaplan is great for ya if you wanna learn english seriously. however, if you wanna make american friends, it is not that easy to do it since all students are not from here. on the other hand, if you wanna get to know various cultures as well, i recommend kapaln cuz i've made a bunch of friends through classes, events and so on. and if you wanna study in an environment where there is almost no japanese students, i think you shouldn't go to kaplan seattle cuz there are many asian students and some of them are always speaking their own languages.
