MOVA has been a great experience all around. The teachers have been incredible and my son has gotten to take many courses that matched his interests.

This school is always there to help with Us as parents and my children
Navigating online school can sometimes be very frustrating but I can email or text any of the teachers and they always put me through to the right person to help with my issue.

I need to get Z'Knarielle Littlefield through her last two years and it worked.

Great choice for our two kids, they both needed one on one, we can be there for them. K12 provided all the materials for success. Kids can work at their own pace. Tec support has been there when needeed.

Good program, it would be good if there were better connections with classmates and less homework for elementary students.

Communication can be very inconsistent. Lots of messages sent that are repeats that do not apply to us, even after responding. Staff often send confused about flex program requirements. Things listed as required, but aren't, making it difficult to be clear on this.

This school has changed my sons life, he's very happy to attend a K12 school.

Having an online school with everything a child needs to learn.

So far I feel like it’s been a good experience for my child.

We are now in our second year using the K12 program, and unfortunately, our overall experience has highlighted several areas that need significant improvement.

One of our primary concerns is the lack of effective class planning and organization. There appears to be inconsistency in how courses are structured, which creates confusion and unnecessary stress for students. Expectations are not always clearly communicated, and deadlines or testing schedules can feel abrupt or poorly coordinated.

Additionally, the structure of the program seems to unintentionally encourage procrastination. With limited structure, inconsistent pacing, and a lack of proactive guidance from some teachers, students can easily fall behind without timely intervention or support. A more structured approach with clearer pacing and consistent check-ins would help students stay on track and be more successful.

Another major issue is the inconsistency in teaching quality. While we have encountered a few teachers who were supportive, responsive, and genuinely invested in student success, those experiences have been rare. Many other teachers have made our children feel ignored, dismissed, or uncomfortable reaching out for help. Communication in some cases has come across as rude or lacking professionalism, which directly impacts student confidence and engagement.

In particular, we had an experience with one teacher who seemed to push students to graduate earlier than they were personally ready for, even after students clearly expressed a desire to graduate on their own timeline. This created unnecessary pressure and made students feel that their individual goals and readiness were not being respected.

Additionally, the handling of test scheduling was often inflexible and, at times, communicated in a manner that felt inconsiderate. Rather than working collaboratively with students, the approach felt rigid and, at times, dismissive of student needs.

We also understand that this teacher was dealing with a serious family health situation, which she shared frequently. While we sympathize with her circumstances, it became evident that this situation was affecting her ability to interact positively and effectively with students. In such cases, it may have been more appropriate for her to take leave, such as FMLA, to focus on her family responsibilities rather than continuing in a role where students were negatively impacted.

More broadly, there seems to be a lack of accountability and support for ensuring that all teachers maintain a respectful, student-centered approach. Students should feel encouraged, supported, and heard—not rushed, overlooked, or discouraged.

Overall, we believe the program would benefit from stronger oversight, better teacher training, improved communication standards, and more thoughtful course planning. Students deserve a learning environment where they feel respected, supported, and set up for success, and at this time, that standard is not being consistently met.

My daughter's grades are absolutely amazing compared to how she was doing in our resident school district. She is more engaged and has no complaints about doing her school work or joining live classes. The simple fact that I know she can actually get help with something when she needs it is a BIG plus for me. I am also happy with knowing that she is safe from bullying.

A program for every student. Simple, reliable, and thorough. Staff are excellent, quality material with opportunity for advancement. 6 Years and still counting. Thank you, we appreciate you.

The whole experience that K12 provides is great! The teachers are all very helpful and nice! All the supplies that are sent are even better!

This is the second year my daughter has been with MOVA and we love it! No more waiting in traffic at the pick up line at school, no more getting up at 6:30 am for school and no more spending a fortune on school supplies. My daughter loves it because it doesn't matter what she wears to school now and she has severe social anxiety so she is not face to face with big groups of people. Another plus is all the teachers are very nice and helpful. We love MOVA and my daughter plans on sticking with it.

Everything is great

MOVA K12 is amazing! My girls are in 3rd and 5th grade, and we are finishing our 2nd year with K12 and love it! The curriculum is top-notch, and the teachers are incredible! They text me in real time if my child has gotten off of a lesson before she completes all of the requirements for the day so that I can get her back on. Grades are updated daily, so you can make adjustments if needed. My girls are very happy with K12 and we'll be here next year, too.

The virtual school program was an excellent decision for my children especially during the pandemic! Keep up the good work, offering working parents and option to home school their children who have IEP,s was a relief for my family .

The teachers, therapist and others that work with my son and his special needs has made our experience absolutely wonderful. MOVA definitely works with all kids, and meets them where they are to help them be the best they can be and do the best they can do to be successful. We plan on continuing with MOVA!
