My experience with Johnston & Murphy has been nothing short of excellent. I've purchased two pairs of shoes from this brand over the course of the last year - both are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I did have an issue with a zipper on one pair, and J&M immediately responded with amazing customer service. I highly recommend this brand and shopping on their website! Top notch all they way.
I’m a new customer. Received a guest gift card for Christmas. Purchased an item online. Four days later they sent me an email saying that I had canceled my own order. Called them about it and they stated that in fact they didn’t have the inventory. Could not give me a reason why they blamed the change on me versus taking accountability for it. Won’t be back.
I ordered online from these cowboys and they took my money, then auto-cancelled the order 5 days later. No doubt they had taken too many orders and just set about cancelling the ones they couldn't fill. However, there was no explanation - just an email saying order status = cancelled. No refund notficiation, for all I know they have taken my money
I bought a pair of chukka boots from JM almost a year ago. I wore them through the winter of 2024/2025. Put them away for the summer and dragged them back out again this fall. They are holding up well, very comfortable and no complaints. I wore them every single day for a weeklong trip through Montana and was pleased. I wish I could get another pair in my duck wide sized foot.
I have bought three pair of Johnson Murphy Chukka boots over the past two years. The sole came apart within 4 months on all three pairs. I have worn this brand for years but I am looking for an alternative because the quality has declined so quickly with Johnson & Murphy.
I’ve worn Johnston Murphy shoes for years. I always thought they were top quality. Unfortunately, the last several pair have been disappointing . They have all fallen apart in a short period of time. The pair I have on now I’ve worn just a few times and they are falling apart. Very disappointing. Now I have to find another shoe company that makes decent products.
Had a bad experience, didn't even get to try the clothes. They canceled my order without tell me they were going to do so or verifying that it was not fraud. Even my CC didn't contact me bc it was not fraud. They said i had to do the order again. When i tried to do that, i coudn't use the original promo code for new customers. When i chatted with customer service, they said i had to call. CALL and wait on hold? This company clearly isn't that interested in making money. You can fix this by emailing me sending me a new promo code. Here is the order number so you can see that i'm correct. 506462398. You will find my email with the order in your records.
I bought the JM Upton Mens shoe, and the stitching on front of both sides of the left shoe came apart. I have been buying this brand for 35 years. I am extremely disappointed I will switch over to Allen Edmond now. There is no workmanship guarantee
Ellenton store. Employee was dealing with me. Then sidetracked off to another customer. Then became rude when I asked her for another size. No wonder the store was empty
I’ve bought three pairs of shoes from this store and all of them have given me a very good impression. The leather used feels great to the touch and it smells expensive, which is a good thing to justify the price you payed. Their design is positively accepted by everyone who see me wearing them. I happened to have a little issue with the laces in a pair of shoes, and their customer service was very helpful and efficiently fixed the problem. I still don’t know about the longevity of the shoes, but I’m confident they will last me a long time with proper care of the leather.
